Oh, I don't argue because I think it will make a difference. I just do it for fun. Specifically, it is not my goal to use the optimal method of manipulation to sway people's votes. I understand that people don't like to be told they're in the wrong. Nonetheless, I call it as I see it, because I feel like someone ought to. How others respond to that, whether it be by honestly reflecting on their actions or by just doubling down on their pride out of spite for me, is entirely on them.

So, just to have fun and vent, you decide to contribute in a negative manner in issues that affect your life short and long term. Are you... alright with it? Don't you want to do something to improve it all? Don't you want to win in that stupid election game and maybe sew some gains from it? Don't you want to gain some more knowledge and understanding from the lessons learnt elsewhere? 

I'm not even a player in the election game, I am an insect. I live in a state that always votes blue, and since the popular vote is meaningless, my vote effectively doesn't count. And it's not my job to manipulate others into doing what I want. I can't overcome a nation of people making bad decisions. Whatever happens happens. If things get too bad, my life doesn't have to have a "long term".
