Hey so, I heard that you play this game on Mac, and so do I. But ever since I got the game, Ive had to turn the animations off because of the script hanging messages I get whenever ri am mid battle. Do you have any way to fix this, that isn't turning my animations off? I really want to see the new animations they implemented into the game.

Hydreigon needs it's ability as wonderguard.
It has no means of setting up and has 5 pretty common weakness.

Everyone else has pretty much covered it once again, but I’ll just make it clear that giving hydreigon, a pseudo-legendary with great offensive capability and an already good typing, 13 immunities from wonder guard is not OU potential; that is Uber potential. And at that point you wouldn’t even be allowed to play it in OU.

Wonder guard is the most niche ability as the only Pokémon who gets access to it has a whopping 1 HP. It was created specifically to make thematic sense for a single Pokémon and will not, nor ever should be given to another Pokémon. Giving a pseudo-legend, which already by definition outclasses the majority of non-legendary Pokémon by merit of its stats and typing, an ability that makes it only able to be hit by 5 abilities is asking for an immediate ban to Ubers.

Eyy status is working again!
Does there have to be a spoiler lock for episode 19? Wouldn't make much sense since the story ends. There wouldn't be much point in people discussing anything about the game(except side quests) without completing the story.
Either way it should be an exciting ending. I'm expecting a Danganronpa 3 style ending so let's see how it goes.

Has Ame ever changed a puzzle of a previous episode in the past? Because I want the magic square puzzle to be changed so that the numbers can be freely inputted. Sure the rewards are great but half of us don't bother using a Gardevoir on our team and nor do we need a dark z crystal. Solving the puzzle on paper itself is pretty tough but it's fun. Inputting it is definitely not.

You're saying "additional rewards" as if the puzzle was designed specifically to reward us one thing over the other. Every reward for the sidequest is just as relevant to someone as another. Not to mention the fact that there's a decent amount of lore that comes from completing the whole quest. It feels perfectly valid in difficulty for every one of its rewards (and trust me, it's not that bad. It just takes some getting used to).

One thing bad about reborn is the goal oriented approach of us, the player. We'll do anything to reach an end. Simon delivers Tara's probably dead body, let's just go and steal a shiny charm from her room. Want an axew? Go steal an egg from it's loving parents. Want a Bagon? Specifically go to it and teach it how to fly. Our character may be perceived as good because we "help" others but remember that if getting the earthquake tm involved burying people under a cave, we would do that too.

With the shifting of magnemite to route 3, every single OU pokemon ever has been shifted to being obtainable only when your pokemon are guaranteed to be past level 60.
But you still have to battle a level 57 Tyranitar in full team of 6 pokemon for Luna. How fair and balanced!

As for your first point, I'll just say that I've never once used any member of the Magnemite family in any playthrough of Reborn and I've still had everything turn out alright. I recognize its power, but it's just not one I prefer to have on my team.
I won't deny that Tyranitar is a threatening pokemon, but I still don't believe it's "over the top" or unfair. As for nicknames, last I checked, in episode 17, her Pokemons' nicknames are not used when the game says "Luna is about to send out (insert pokemon name). Would you like to switch?" so I don't know why the nicknames necessarily make the battle more difficult.
And as for needing counters, that's kind of half the point of this game. The gym leaders have the advantage of being more challenging and having field effects catered to them, but you have the advantage of seeing their team and being able to return with a new strategy should you fail. Reborn's whole motif as a game is to adapt and overcome, and you will need to adapt if you plan on beating some of the greater challenges. And let me tell you, there are far greater "unfair strategies" that gym leaders could use, and some of those are already employed in the game. But of course, that's a matter of personal opinion on my end.
And just to provide a counterargument, yes, I do understand what tiers are. Those tiers are constantly shifting based on competitive battling statistics specifically gathered by Smogon on their Pokemon Showdown! battling platform. Those tiers reflect what Pokemon are currently in the meta and often shift in response to counters to meta Pokemon. Because these tiers take into account statistics from competitive battling on Smogon's platform, they therefore do not 100% reflect the viability of Pokemon in the Reborn game. I will say it once again, but Smogon's tiers reflect a style of battling that does not take account of Reborn's field effects, and classifies these Pokemon in their most optimal circumstances, with all the right moves available, items available, and perfectly manipulatable IV and EV values. So while these tiers give a rough idea of what pokemon are good in general, it does not cater to Reborn, and therefore does not accurately reflect the viability of pokemon in Reborn either. Pokemon in OU will not always be as strong as lower tiered Pokemon when playing Reborn, and vice versa. I won't go into why OU pokemon don't all have the "capability to deal with any situation" as I feel like that's a bit of an exaggeration.

Luna is known by most of Reborn players to be perhaps the easiest out of all the leaders. If you don't think there's a single pokemon capable of taking it out before that point in the game, you'd probably be incorrect. I guarantee you could go into that battle with a Primeape and walk out with a badge. It's not a matter of fighting fire with fire (or OU with OU) in Reborn, it's a matter of taking the time to understand what things you can take advantage of to win the uphill battles. And let's not forget that tiers on Smogon don't apply the same in game, since field effects, level caps, item availability, and limited movesets aren't things that apply to Smogon competitive battling.

Love how people are saying that ivs don't matter much in pokemon battles. If you can be okay with a pokemon of an attack stat that is short by 31 stat points then you'd better be using a modest Heracross or a Jolly Galvantula on your team.

I mean... a low attack stat can be very important for pokemon that are strictly special attackers, as it decreases the damage they take from Foul Play. Other times, you want to reduce the IVs in Speed if you're running a trick room team or making use of Gyro Ball. The only other time you'd want to have anything other than 31 or 0 IVs in a stat is to dictate what type of hidden power the pokemon has. Idk why anyone would be claiming IVs don't matter though. They can easily make or break a pokemon's viability.

I wonder how Reborn would be without feild effects. The fights would probably be more interesting to do with less powerful pokemon because the opponent doesn't become a Hulk in the feild and you don't need a feild changer or a Pokemon of the same type as the gym to actually do good in the gym.

While you would think Titania would be grateful for the effort you put in to help at the WTC, don’t forget that Amaria had the bracelets on when she jumped. It’s not too far fetched for Titania, who is not exactly pleased since she knows (or suspects) you read her diary, to believe that your intentions were actually to obtain the bracelets rather than to help her and Amaria.

Today is Icy's 1-year anniversary of joining the auth team.
I was surprised when Ame asked me if I wanted to be a mod. I was excited at the idea, but wondered whether I should accept or not. I'd never been in a position of authority before, and there were some parts of the job I wasn't sure I could handle. Mainly, the idea of possibly having to deal with people who were angry about getting warning points was scary.
I did decide to accept, and I'm glad I did. It's been fun seeing how the auth team makes decisions on what action to take in certain situations, what changes should be made to the community, and how events (like the summer and winter parties) will be set up. There's a lot of stuff Icy didn't know about what happens behind the scenes, and Icy gets to give her input too now.
Since 2008, I've been in a few different online places (since 2004 if lurking counts). Most of the time, I was active for ~2 years before burning out and slowly becoming less active, or leaving for other reasons. I haven't ever been as involved in an online community as I have been in Reborn. In other places, I never participated in any site events or anything like that, and didn't really make any contributions to the communities beyond just posting.
Hopefully I'm doing a good job as a mod, and as a user in general. ^^ Thank you all for being here!
