  1. The title is inspired by my recent attempt to watch The Newsies (it didn't last long) and my curiosity to know who all these new people are. I've been away for about a year and a half, and before that another half year or so. It all accrues to too damn long, but I want to make an active attempt now to get to know the new people AND gather who all is still around... but mostly the second one. I miss my Reborn companions and would love to get reacquianted.

If any of you don't know who I am, I'm one of this community's most notable flakes, infamous for being incredibly active for small volumes of time, and then disappearing for equal amounts of time, if not double that. Every time I'd come back, though, I'd really put it into full gear. I was a true Reborn Socialite at one point. It was pretty great. I loved this place a few years ago, and hopefully I can come to love it in its current state. It's very game-centric as it stands, but maybe I'll find the sect of the community that isn't quite at that point yet again and enjoy it as much as I did before.

I've been mostly active on Smogon and PC, so that explains my having fallen into complete obscurity here. if anyone remembers me, then I apologize for that.

    hi lovelies.

  2. anyone of you who are playing ORAS:

are Raikou, Entei and Suicune based on the starter you choose or do they all appear?

I'm asking because I want Suicune

not necesseraliy because of competetive reasons, because I don't use Legendaries in battles, but it was the first of them I caught back then in gold... and because I like it the most from those 3 :P

You need to have either Lugia or Ho-Oh in your party and you'll encounter them in the Trackless Forest at certain intervals of time during the hour.

  3. Swagger, is known all too well within the competitive realm of Pokemon to the extent where spamming it could guarantee a solid win. Like Ikaru said, swagger can be used in three different way, and abused. First is the Prankster+Swagger, where several Pokemon with the such ability are able to spam Swagger in hopes of successfully stalling it till it faints. Secondly, is the random choice of spamming Swagger and hoping that it will start a chain of "It hit itself" till said person wins. Lastly is Foul Play+Swagger, allowing user to spam Foul Play normally under the use of a sub. Such generic use of Swagger is often, but not always, used under the set of Substitute, Protect, Swagger, Foul Play. This set is for the Pokemon who have the ability Prankster. As you can tell, there is no thought put behind this for all one needs to do is start up with Swagger and proceed with Substitute, followed by the use of spamming Foul Play.
First of all, I'd like to say that your second point isn't a true measure of weighing Swagger's usability or accountability. Any move can be spammed in hopes that a "chain of 'it hit itself'" is started, such as attacks that nearly the same effect as Swagger (see: Confuse Ray, Dizzy Punch). The first and third points, however, are often used in conjuction and aren't necessarily separate entities. Liepard, Sableye, and Murkrow are some I can recall to mind using Swagger/Substitute/Foul Play combination, and other renditions of Swagger are seen by Klefki, usually used in conjuction with Thunder Wave, Foul Play, or both alongside screens. The latter is an almost assured setting up of screens and 90% will be carrying Light Clay so the team support is maxed. There's nearly no way around it unless you're carrying a Magic Bounce user and even if you predict the switch, screens will still be set up. Liepard/Sableye/Murkrow are easier to counter/check (by a slim margin) but I don't want to discuss individual Pokemon; I just wanted to reply to that post.
  4. I don't think I've posted a picture and if I ever did, it was at least three years ago. So, to make up for it!

This picture was taken from Snapchat, given a Retrica filter, and posted on Instagram so I'm sorry for the quality, haha.

  5. Mega Spiritomb

    Type: Ghost/Fairy

    Ability: WonderGuard (Weaknesses: Steel, Ghost)

    Old Stats: 50/92/108/92/108/35

    New Stats: 50/110/120/110/120/75

I'd say it seems a little overpowered, but there are other broken Megas and it seems customary to keep Spiritomb's offensive and defensive stats similar to each other. But essentially what this has is the defensive and offensive stats swapping, which makes it essentially a glass cannon, considering it's dismal HP, with a little bit of bite. The speed boost is to round off the required 100 point boost.

  6. Hi there; Cloud here today to rant about internet haters.

First and foremost I must ask: what the fuck? Opinions are fantastic and I enjoy hearing them (as much as I want to kick them to the curb as somewhere in my hypothalamus lies a complex that just screams opinionated superiority) but when it comes to flat out dismissing a movie because of its genre or themes, then you've gone too far. People are encouraged to enjoy and prefer their own things, but why go mucking around in others' favorites?

Les Miserables, for example! It was recently nominated for a plethora of Oscars (including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress (Anne Hathaway as Fantine)) while a good few other movies/directors were not. Fantastic! But I will allow one guess for what came about for those other choice movies being shafted and Les Miserables being nominated in their place(s):

    34pxixd.jpg

Why? Since when it is right in any sense of the word to discriminate (and I use the term lightly) against something because of themes, moods, characters, visuals, etc it portrays in comparison to something else? Les Miserables is a fantastic movie for those who enjoy musicals that convey the themes of love through anguish, sin, and one of the most prevalent of such, transformation of an individual in society.

Thinking back, I didn't have much to say and I haven't worded it fantastically but I dislike that Les Miserables is being doted upon in such a way asdfdsjf

EDIT: Additionally, Hathaway's screentime is irrelevant - she played the role of Fantine with such exceptionally raw power that I'll be incredibly surprised if she doesn't win an Oscar.

  7. And there is a difference between tiers that were added in the likelihood they would be used and then ended up not being so and just not being removed for the sake of leaving them for those few hopefuls and adding onto those tiers just because one or two people request them. There's a little ambiguity between them, but not much, I swear!
