      That would imply that if Batman said you didn't deserve a second chance, that would be equally true... That doesn't sound quite right

      A single person doesn't deserve that kind of power.

      but Batman NEVER says you wouldn't deserve a second chance... hence his "no kill" rule (despite the fact that most of his 'victims' would be totally super-dead with all those broken bones and brain-traumas ...)
