Good question! Every year we create a separate discord server for the party. The link to the party server will be posted here once it's actually time to get going. Award voting will happen on the main server the day before, and the sign ups for Secret Santa will be in this forum

Hello dear friends and children! Where is Episode 19? I don't know, keep playing Sword and Shield. Can't afford a Switch? That's what this holiday season is for.

And you know what else the holiday season is for? Parties! As many of you know but some do not, Reborn hosts two online social events every year, and this Winter's is coming up! Let's take a look at this year's schedule and events.

The 2019 Winter Revel will take place on December 28th! Festivities will officially start at 7pm GMT+1 or 2pm EST, and will run for a full 12 hours! Anyone and everyone is welcome to pop in drop by or drop out as they please, so the least you can do is come say hi!

Here's this year's schedule!

Now as usual, let's talk about each event.

Main Events-

Members of the Year Awards
- Hot from their hit debut last year, they're back! Vote for your fellow community members in dozens of categories of awards for the year! Old favorites from last year will return, such as the ever-coveted Smelliest Auth Award ... but will the title change hands? hm.... Joining them will be a fresh shipment of MotY categories. Look forward to new ones such as last year's direly-missed Most Likely To Win Third Place Award, or such new gems as the Hippest Himbo Award!
- Categories will be officially announced on 12/21 and voting begins on 12/27.
Winter Wondertrade
- The runaround is back! All day long, we'll be heating up Reborn's wondertrade servers with exclusive event mons sponsored by our mods and our leaders! In addition to that we invite everyone to get those bidoofs outta there and put on their best gift 'mons for the holiday season. Keep those trades moving and there is no telling what you may get!
Super Secret Santa
- The classic secret santa shindig returns from last year as well! To participate in this, you must be willing to share your address with us and to spend real money. Participants and their wish lists will be entered into a drawing, and then everybody will be randomly (and secretly??) assigned another participant to buy and ship a gift for! Last year's was a lot of fun, and I still treasure the gift I ended up with, so I hope more folks will give it a shot!
- More information will be posted for this along with sign-ups on 11/20! There are some restrictions, so make sure to read the thread thoroughly when it goes up. Sign ups will be open for one week until 11/27!
Smash Ultimate Tourney
- Another pow-wow writes itself into the schedule! For those of you who are confident in your brawling prowess and the Switch Online account to back it up are invited to beat each other senseless in another Reborn Party classic Smash Tourney sponsored by the one and ever-absent, Godot!

Game Room-

The Cockamamie Caucuses
- A brand new game joins the line up this winter! In this experimental game, the rules are made up and the points don't matter, but no matter whose line it is, it's sure to be a riot! Our expert candidate participants will line up and, in a manner surely most befitting of our nations' leaders, answer perfectly sensible questions such as What's the best way to build a horse out of ketchup, or How do you explain the undeniable connection between Dexit and the historic surge of criminal clown sightings back in 2016? Audience members will then be invited to torment-- I mean, engage the speakers with any questions they may have about the subject matter. At the end, the audience will vote for who was their favorite candidate of all, and that person will be crowned the Cockamamie Caucus Conqueror!
Curses
- One of our favorite recent Summer Social games, Curses has been shifted to the Winter Revel's line up instead! Join us for one of two rounds of increasingly chaotic and destructive wordslaughter! Each player asks each other questions, answers them, and assigns 'curses' in the form of quirky typing conditions, restrictions, etc to the other players. Fail to uphold your curses and you could be called out! Who will be the last one standing? These games tend to get crazy after running for a while, so they are limited to 8 players each.
Taboo
- A classic party game returning after being introduced to last year's party! Taboo features one keyword that must be guessed, but watch out! Each keyword comes with several banned words that you can't say! Make the other person guess your word with other clues before time runs out and collect points to beat out the other teams!
Queen's Game
- The surviving Reborn party staple! Derived from the Japanese drinking game, King's Game, Queen's Game takes the 'dare' out of 'truth or dare' leaving only a wraggle-taggle mess of soul-revealing inquiries to strip you down to your core, embarrass you in front of your friends, and leave you feeling funny about it the next day. Only one rule stands: What happens in Queen's Game, stays in Queen's Game.
Lie Alive Snowdown
- Last year's headlining event is now back as a returning game! Your powers of truth and deception are tested in this tournament-style contest of 2 Truths 1 Lie! In order to survive each round, guess your opponent's lie while keeping yours under wraps to knock them out and advance to the end! A final challenge may await whomever makes it to the top...

Free for All-

As ever, free use rooms will be available for those who want to start up their own games of Town of Salem, Jackbox, Boardgame Online, Hunger Games, Cards Against Humanity, or whatever else may strike your wicked fancies. Join us in the music channel too as our resident DJs bring to your the local holiday tunes to heat you up and cool you down amidst this frosty frolic!

And that's all she wrote! These holiday parties have been a long-standing tradition for the site, and I for one am looking forward to another great year.

for the record, i would actually like to be able to add something roaming just for like, 1-3 of them to have them be different from everything else. however, i tried to do roaming events (teddiursa, zangoose, zorua, one more?) in the early episodes, and just have them roam around peridot only, or roam between alleys and they just
never showed up
for anyone
so i can only conclude that the roaming code is broken anyway and it would be impossible.
(hence why those encounters became more like hide-and-seek instead)

All TMs have been moved around and are now obtainable before E19 content. They've all been reset for older files too so you shouldn't be able to miss anything if you didn't get it before.

There's nothing wrong with talking about debug or mentioning it in a case like that. It just shouldn't be proposed as one of the first solutions to an otherwise manageable problem.

Apologies for the downtime earlier... Unfortunately, we suffered an unexpected security breach.

...Tbh I'm not really entirely sure how that happened, but whatever the case we're back online and I've taken the opportunity to upgrade the server environment and make some adjustments for performance and security... So hopefully none of that will happen again. I can only imagine the recent slowness and downtime we've had in the last couple days has also been a result of the same group trying to hack into the site, but... With any luck, today's changes will put an end to that too.

Sorry for the inconvenience everyone.

While we're all here in the announcement section, there is one matter that we should also mention. As of today, we're adding a new warning and guildeline for the site-- for 'Debug Dealing'.

Before anyone panics, I'll say upfront: We're not outlawing debug mode. Y'all are still welcome to use it and play however you want, and even share it when it is needed.

However, what we want to ask is that when it comes to players who are new to the game and community, please give them a chance to play the game for itself as intended before recommending they solve whatever problem that have with debug mode. If it's something that can't be done normally-- great, debug away. But for many of the cases we've seen, it hasn't been needed, and when it's suggestion #1 (or 2, or 3...) it can really take away from the core experience.
The accompanying warning is worth 0 points, as an ettiquette warning, and is just a tap on the shoulder to say "hey, please don't. thanks,"

If you have any questions about that, please also feel free to ask here or ask a staff member directly.

Definitely! We've been working on new animations the entire time and Smeargle already did post one earlier in this thread. I've been a little slow with marking them complete due to tunnel vision though, lol...

Welcome back, pimps AND players, to that time of the year again-- when the world is getting ready to literally melt your face off because the sun has forgotten how to do anything but enter maximum overdrive and half of the political spectrum is still convinced that global warming isn't real.

What better way to celebrate the approach of this ever-miserable season than with our classic annual summer par-tay? And you're invited! That's right, you!

Like last year, we've got a special set of events lined up for you all! Mark your calendars-- this year's summer social is on June 29th, starting from 2p EST or 7p GMT+1 straight through for the next 12 hours! Or more, if y'all want. It sure went overtime in the winter, and that's a-okay.

Here's our schedule of events, with descriptions for each one below:

Main Events

Main Movie Feature: Your Name
- As has been running tradition for summer parties, we'll be doing a group anime movie showing! This year's pick is Makoto Shinkai's masterpiece, Kimi no Na wa, or Your Name! This movie has reached the #2 ranked spot on MyAnimeList, so if you haven't had a chance to see it yet, or just want to give it a well-deserved rewatch, this moment is for you! We'll have two showings, one early and late to ensure that anyone interested can make it regardless of timezone. And now, we cut to MAL for the movie's summary:

Murder Mystery Event
- It's back! But only completely different. Whereas last year's Murder Mystery took the form of a hasty phoenix wright mod due to some last minute technical issues, we'll be writing this year's scenario from the ground up! Details are yet to come but we'll be basing the format off of the old Nonary games that once ran in the old PO days. It won't be running seven hours like before, as there is simply not enough party time for all of that ( :[ ), but we're working to deliver a fresh Discord-based cooperative, competitive multiplayer murder experience!
Party Quirk Battle Royale-- a new event!
- It's 2019 and you know what that means: everything has to have a battle royale mode! Inspired by the famous Whose Line Is It Anyway anyway game "Party Quirks", we're adapting the format into a more widely playable text-based game! Each player is assigned a secret "quirk" that they have to act out ( BNHA fans don't interact ), all the while trying to guess the other player's quirks. If a player's quirk is guessed, they're O-U-T. A panel of judges will be on standby to make sure that all competitors are active and living up to their quirk's potential as well-- failure to do so will result in an out as well. Fight on to the last partier standing to claim the winning prize for your own!

Reborn Royalty

Game Room

Curses
- One of our most popular games in recent years, Curses pits players against each other in an increasingly spiteful, yet increasingly hilarious competition that is almost as fun to watch as it is to play. Each turn players ask and answer questions from each others, all the while slinging curses of their own construction at each other one at a time! A curse can be anything within practicality that we can visually verify, such as having to change nickname each time someone says 'question', or having to include the species name of a mosquito at the end of each line. The biggest limit is your creativity in how you can curse your competition, while still holding up your own ever-increasing stack of curses! Curses will have both an early and late session, but please keep in mind that due to the time a game typically takes, games are limited to around eight players.
Mad Libs
- A tree house classic! Fill in the blank with whatever zany, <adjective> phrases you memers can come up with and then watch the chaos unfold and <verb> into a hysterical clusterfuck of <adverb> <adjective> <plural nouns>. We'll have no shortage of <adjective> <plural nouns> for you to <verb>, so make sure you don't miss out on this <excalamation>-fest!
Jeopardy
- "What is Jeopardy?" I'll take Game Descriptions for 300.
  The classic answer-question game returns with all new categories and all new questions for our eager competitors. Ask your way to the top in this not-so-trivial trivia turnabout! For the single highest-scoring winner of this game, a prize will be included as well!
Newlyweds
- This returns from last year! Pair up and square up with a randomly assigned partner in this nice-to-meet-you, get-to-know-you game of communication. Answer questions about and with each other to impress the judges and assert dominance over all the other pairs! This is the definition of a power couple! A prize is included for our nearest and dearest winners here as well!
Never Have I
- Finally, our late night no-holds-barred all-exploit round robin! It's been years and no one's still quite sure whether you win or lose by being the first or last to 0 points left, but who cares? Take your points into your name and let's do this thing! We do not promise that this won't get raunchy. In fact, we promise that it will. We know you hooligans have no restraint anyway.

And finally, the usual...

Hunger Games, Town of Salem, Cards against Humanity, Board Game Online and even Jackbox showdowns are all highly likely to happen in this ever-volatile environment! We'll be providing free use rooms for you all in the party server, so feel free to kick up one of these games or hop in one whenever you feel like the going is just too slow.
And don't forget, DJ Godot Wolf (that's his proper first and last name right ???) is here to hook you up with all of the latest boppin' bumps and slammin' jams! the music channel will be running through the party for all to enjoy!

Everyone is welcome to the midsummer madness! Whether you stay for one event or all of them, we're looking forward to seeing you there!
