Reborn's Featured Pokemon Column will debut next week! While the first Pokemon has already been decided, we're open to suggestions on what to do for number 2! So, anyone, feel free to post a suggestion-
Let's keep it to one per person, as long lists don't really narrow it down that much.
Also, we'd like to avoid choosing things that are entirely obvious, such as Shandera or Ononukusu- We're hoping to mix up some new ideas into the metagame here.
As for what the first one is? Psh, that's a secret- but maybe there's some gossip about it?

If you could um, undo the Singles/Doubles/Triples thing, it would make it a lot less chaotic. I know you were doing it to make a point, but it's simply... not necessary.

We very well could. Nyu created a +Inf tier, I don't know why he couldn't write in these tiers for us- This is, if we want to.

N8 beat me to it. That aside, if Ditto isn't showing up in lower tiers, inb4 Butterfly Dance takes over.

Anybody else should post any problems they have.
Ditto needs to be NU, or at least not banned from lower-tier play, otherwise set-up will be over-powered in those tiers. Ditto is only as good as the Pokemon it faces, there is no reason to ban it. -
I already took what you considered into account, and I've come up with a solution. I'll post details on it at a later time, however. Perhaps once Amaria is unlocked.

Also because then those accents at least match to the traces of red and blue with the Reborn Theme for PO, red matching with Pokeballs and Blue with the standard functions of PO. I will do everything I can to make the skins enjoyable- such as, I could include the Halloween Pokemon on the Red skin, and Lucario or other requests on the Blue. We'll do whatever you guys want with them.

As you have doubtlessly guess from the title, we now have a tentative date for the league to re-open, that being the 29th of November.
Truthfully, we would be prepared to open a full week sooner, were I not- and surely others with me- being whisked away out of state over fall break where I cannot be at all sure that my internet connection will be stable, and where I am quite sure instead that my schedule will not.
That said, this means that it is time to (re)register your teams! But before you go off and jump into the new registration topic there is something returning challengers should be aware of:
If you post a new team in the registration topic, you will lose all of your badges.
Instead, returning qualified challengers should take the form from that topic and post their new team in their personal Challenger topic.
From there, I will copy it into the Registration topic personally, meaning once you post your new team, it cannot be edited.
Please note, there is no expiration on this chance for qualified teams, but you only get one change. In other words, if you haven't settled on a Gen V team that works for you yet, there is no rush to register anything, but once you do register it, it is set in stone, so choose wisely.
However, if you have yet to earn a badge, or do wish to start over, then by all means go ahead and post in the registration topic yourself.
New challengers who posted Gen V teams in the old registration topic will be asked to move their posts as well.

The problem there is getting artwork polished enough and small enough to fit in there. On the matter of size, I suppose the spritework -could- work, but that just seems redundant. At any rate, it is an idea I would like to pursue, and yet, I haven't the time.

PS Guys, I eventually made a verdict.
For maximum manageability, I'm cutting it down to just the Blue/Red/Green/Purple skins. You'll notice that the fancy new site icon reflects this- those will be our rotatable site accent colors. I'm also going to embellish on the differences between them a bit, in time. To the occasional people who were using the others, was it for the Pokemon or the color?

Because 5th gen's artwork is largely unreleased, the scans we have are not high quality enough for me to use, yet, so no promises on including any 5th gen Pokemon.
Rather, I'm looking to decrease the number of skins, since every time I change one, I have to change 11.
So as it stands, I'll be removing Strength of the Sea, Bloody Nightmares, Sweet Pink, Teal Steel and Violent Magenta. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Firstly! As many of you have by now surely noticed, and at the requests and recommendations of several of our members over the past few weeks- Ikaru has been promoted to a moderator. Congratulations to him. His position is to be welcomed with respect by all, especially considering a number of members had specifically said that he would fill the position well.
As a similar note, I want to remind the members and the moderators both of something regarding the automod- It is not intended to replace the job of a moderator. It was originally created just to be turned on when mods could not stay over night- so, there is no reason that it should be left on during the hours when staff is active. In this sense, the mods themselves should be more embraced, as members would no longer be suspect to the automod's unrelenting (though sometimes humorous) judgment. I realize that I am in part responsible for breaking this paradigm, and I apologize. It will be soon remedied.
On to more interesting things:
In regards to Reborn League-
We DO have Julia back. We also have her replacement to consider, and having introduced him to the behind-the-scenes of Reborn, I'm not entirely sure what to do with him now. We'll see how this turns out...
Many people have been worried about their previous registrations. Do not worry- All challengers will be allowed to re-register their teams completely, without penalty to their existing badges. Trainer cards and the like will be updated as well. HOWEVER, do NOT do this YET. I will make an announcement at some future time with instructions detailing when and how to do this.
One thing to keep in mind when you register your teams is that they need to be able to adapt to all kinds of battles. Gym leaders can and will challenge you to single, double, triple and rotation battles. Be ready for these. This may seem unfair, however consider that with each generation a multitype team's over all strength increases at a greater amount than any given monotype team can, by nature. The increased variety in styles is critical to allowing each type to make the most of its potential, thereby balancing the challenges.
Gym leader ranks will reshuffle before the league reopens. This seems intuitive due to the shifting power of the types. Oh- speaking of re-opening: The league will re-activate after Rotation battles are introduced to the client (provided they are not delayed for much longer) and triple battles and such glitches are further ironed out. I am seeking audience with Coyote to get an approximate date on this event- among other things- and will relay this as soon as I do.
One more thing- I'm looking for somebody to help Kitty with trainer cards, at least for the transition to 5th gen teams because a lot of cards will need to be changed. The ideal candidate has done spriting before, has some FTP experience, is open to learning to use a new program, active, mature, has Skype, and is willing to put up with a very tedious process, because as Kitty can attest to these cards are seldom a quick affair. I don't expect anyone to meet all of these conditions especially the first two, but if you are interested, please contact me through PM on the site or server. Both current staff and normal members will be considered for this job.
And my final point this evening is in three questions for your consideration and the benefit of the site. I was going to make this a poll, but then I realized that in a poll you need to already have possible answers- which I do not.
Anyway,
#1- What do you want to see from Reborn?
The question was raised by one of our staff last night that the only thing we have to offer people now is the leagues (and currently not even those!) SO, what ideas do you have of other things we might be able to offer? Note, in the past we have only also done regular themed tournaments, and those could be revived again, to a point. Or what else? I want ideas, people!
#2- Would you be interested in Reborn starting a Featured Pokemon column?
With 5th gen being fresh on the chopping block, now is the time to start articles relating to it before anyone else has marked their territory. Would this be interesting to people, and if so, what sort of things should we be sure to include?
#3- Note the side bar to the left. What do you want from this?
Aside from fixing its collapsibility- which I intend to have Hyperlisk help me with at some point. Given that the affiliate section must stay, what parts of it do you ignore? Which do you use? Is there something that needs to be put on there? I know I personally use the Reborn League links all the time, though that's just because I'm admin- and the log in is very nifty. Does anyone care about the "Go To" section?

Due to fifth gen's sudden release, the Reborn League will be put on hold for about a month as the metagame and leaders cope with the changes.
Excessum can do whatever.
A new client and tentative date will appear in time, as well as new schedules.
...And apparently a new electric leader...

Three quick notes, the first of which all of the regulars probably know.
Reborn is now featuring the Excessum League as well, under the guidance of Mashew, Geo and Ice. Their operations will debut whenever we have all needed information with a doubtlessly greater success than the Evo League saw. Huzzah?
