My game has suddenly started refusing to run. Downloading a new game works just fine, but I can't get my old game working. Does anyone know any way I could get my progress back?

Alright I don't know if this is a joke or not, but I just opened my game to play and I have like 999999 money?

Is that normal once you reach Calcenon city? I don't remember anyone giving me that amount of money.

I'm sorry I could not find a bug reporting sub forum, but in the double battle against Shelly during my electric mono run a lightning rod redirected attack I used missed, and I thought this was not possible? For reference this was charge beam but I thought moves redirected by the ability could not miss. Sorry if this is not the place to post this, longtime absent returning user and I was unable to find the bug reporting subforum that used to exist

	Hello,

I’m still on my first playthrough after 200 hours—despite playing Pokémon forever, I’m not great—and I’m currently trying to beat Zel at Devon Corp. I have the moves and Pokémon I need, but I expected to be able to leave the building mid-quest to grind levels. Obviously you can’t legitimately exit until the quest is finished, but I really need to level up my team.

Is there a mod that lets me teleport out of Devon Corp to grind experience and then return to the exact room I was in?

I have kinda just brute forced my way through the game thus far, have not caught very many pokemon at all. I am at the part where the level 75 steelix shows up and he just wrecks my level 55 team, one shots them all. I don't think I can leave this cave, wtf do I do?

	I made a new damage calc! https://reborn.rebornversecalc.com

	!!

Go check it out! Should have every trainer, main game and postgame, various changes to the damage calculation formula to make it more accurate to how it will work come 19.6 (the current formula is very somewhat to canon), and more features I hope will help in calcing.

There’s also plans for a rejuv and deso calcs, though those are extremely under construction and I don’t have personal plans to do significant work on them. If you want to help with developing them - or adding to the reborn calc - feel free to reply!

	- Ensure the file is still a .rxdata file, and that the spelling is correct, Save Files are case sensitive, and will not work if the file name is inputted incorrectly.
i use linux (pop os specifically) and i can't run the game. i've tried running the file (which gives me a "no script file has been specified" error) and pasting in the command from the read-me (for some reason it's not giving me the option to run the file as an executable?)

i searched around for the "fuse" mentioned in the read me but apparently there's a few different "fuse" programs and i have no idea which one to install

Hello! Apologies if this isn't the correct place to ask, I don't have a lot of experience with this forum, but I've been wondering as I go through my playthrough of Reborn:

Can I still save Lin if I go through the Anna route, but then lose the final battle? I've been divided on which route I want to follow, and have all the requirements for the Anna route complete (except for letting Taka join me in the desert, I'm about to hit that section and figured asking this now would make it easier instead of me playing the whole game over again) Maybe it's an obvious question that's been answered before, but any help would be appreciated!

I started this game after finishing Pokemon Desolation EP6 a few months ago because I can't get enough of it, and what a wild and interesting journey this game is. I'll segment my review into several. Apologies if it sounds like I am rambling. It's late and I might format/refine my post I feel like it.

tl;dr: 8/10 game. The game is extremely dense, full of locations for you to explore and quests to complete. You'll be frequently presented with interesting challenges in battle which can be satisfying when you come up with a solution. There's a huge cast of characters with a somewhat convoluted storyline, which may be hard to follow at times. I find the story and characters to be quite entertaining, but it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

						Gameplay

Just for full context, I have played the game with the hardcaps (you can't level your pokemon past a cap where it'll disobey you) and nohms (you get access to all HM field moves at all times, which means you don't need to carry a HM slave around) passwords, as well as Set mode (no free switch after a KO in trainer battles).

I don't restrict myself in any capacity, and using items in battle are allowed. Though I try not to use X items.

The battles can be pretty challenging, it mainly comes down to two factors:

Field effects: In these games, where you fight have a significant impact on how the battle will play out. For example, when fighting in a flammable environment such as forests and grassy fields, the environment can be lit on fire with moves such as Heat Wave. In dark places, light based moves such as Dazzling Gleam become much more effective, and so on.

The fields typically impose significant multipliers to your stats and the moves they affect (around +/- 50%), so they can't be ignored, much like type effectiveness. Bosses you fight tend to have field effects that favor their team and movesets.

Access to moves and Pokemon: For the majority of the game, bosses will typically have access to higher quality Pokemon and moves compared to what you have. Gym leaders and other bosses will carry coverage moves which you have no access to at the point of time to compensate for their weaknesses. Some time starting from the mid point of the game, they'll start having Pokemon with perfect IVs while you'll have to make do with inferior specimens.

In the late game and post game where your access to Pokemon and moves open up, your opponents will straight up cheat and have Pokemons with 252 EVs in every single stat (thought there are some story justification behind that), making typically frail Pokemon tankier than they ought to be.

And then there are those PULSE Pokemon, which are Pokemon modified by machines to be weapons of war and mass destruction by Team Meteor. When fought in battles, they effectively custom Pokemon with inflated stat pools and overpowered abilities, they are also often part of a team of 6, being the ace of some of the bosses.

The game will also occasionally present you with gauntlets, which require you to fight through several full teams without being able to change members of your team, sometimes without healing in between.

Taking the points above together, it'll feel like you're fighting uphill battles constantly. However, there are plenty of options you can take to overcome them, and they generally feel fun and satisfying to employ.

Overcoming field effects: Firstly, while field effects typically favor the boss by default, they can also be turned against them. One early example is the third Gym leader, who is a bug type specialist who fights double battles in the forest field, which empowers her bug type attacks. She also leads with a Prankster Illumise which will set up rain immediately, mitigating her team's fire weakness and preventing you from setting the field on fire. One way to overcome her strategy is to lead with a Pokemon that can Fake Out her Illumise, preventing the turn 1 rain, allowing you to set the field on fire and watch her entire team crumble.

Note in the example above, she has some countermeasure to you bringing a team of fire Pokemon and just beating them all easily with STAB fire moves. You have to consider these countermeasures when constructing a team and strategy against bosses. There's a degree of back and forth when battling these bosses and you have to at least think one layer deeper than "I'll beat them by spamming type effectiveness".

Another great example of this back and forth dynamic the water type gym leader. She fights on a water surface which unsurprisingly, buffs water types. You can freeze the water to deny her the buffs, but then she carries ice move which is buffed by by the icy terrain. You can also contaminate the water with powerful poison moves, but her Swampert has Whirlpool which can clean the water and swing the field back to her favor.

These are just the 2 examples that stick out in my head the most, the game is filled with interactions like these, and I think the way fields work help make the battles feel much more dynamic and fresh compared to the mainline games.

On the less mechanical side of things, I think the field effects really help to realize the fantasy of Pokemon battling. Their effects are typically logical and feels like an expansion of type effectiveness. The way they work just makes me imagine how the battles are playing out in-universe.

Incentives to explore: The second thing you can do to make battles easier (corresponding to the point of having inferior Pokemon and move access) is to explore, both the game world and your gameplay options.

The game can be quite stingy with handing out Pokemon that are generally high quality out of the box. You're not going to find a Magikarp, Starly or Riolu lying around in the first 10 hours of the game. Many of the stronger Pokemon (as well as TMs for stronger moves) are locked behind quests, and access to them are typically restricted until later points in the game. While it can feel frustrating to some to not be able to run a Gyarados with Waterfall, Crunch, Stone Edge and Dragon Dance before the second gym, I think locking these powerful things behind quests and exploration make them feel earned and gives you a reason to explore the world.

In absence of high quality Pokemon, you'll have to start looking at more underappreciated ones when devising strategies to overcome tough encounters. Pokemon is a game with extremely sharp matchups, and this is amplified with the field effects in this game. If you look around and experiment, you'll be surprised at how good certain Pokemon can be within the context of this game. Some examples I've heard of (but have not used personally) are Moxie Mightyena and Kricketune for the first and second gyms.

Universal and "cheap" tactics: All that above sound too complex and overwhelming to you? Can't find of a good solution to a specific boss? There is a number of simple ways you can trivialise any encounter:

Setting up with stat boosting moves, or X items for the later parts of the game. The AI simple has no idea how to respond appropriately.

Toxic, which is accessible early through some Pokemon and guarantees a knockout on even the toughest opponents eventually (as long as they aren't immune).

Destiny Bond. The quality of your opponents Pokemon is so superior to yours, trading one for one can seem like an excellent deal.

Consumable healing items. With enough revives, cotton candies and potions, you can stall out certain move's PPs, or buy time for your Toxic/burn to eventually wear down your opponent.

The game will sometimes hit you with encounters that render these tactics less effective (mostly in form of double battles, by making you fight 6v12, or forcing you to fight with an AI partner). But they'll work for the majority of the game. Given how brutal and unfair certain encounters can get, I'd say its perfectly reasonable to use every tool at your disposal to win.

One point of complaint I have is how it can be unsatisfying and tedious to win through these strategies, But it's perhaps unfair to raise this as a point against the game, given that those strategies are also available in the mainline series games Reborn is based off on. So it's really up to the player to not optimize the fun out of the game.

You'll also have a good grasp on Pokemon's mechanics if you want to devise your own strategies, so there's a good deal of burden of knowledge imposed on the players. But I sometimes feel like a genius when I manage to execute a strategy successfully.

						Puzzles

I need a paragraph to rant about puzzles.

If there's one thing that tells me that this game is product of passion instead of a commercial product, it's the puzzles. The devs LOVE puzzles. I haven't been keeping count but I don't think you can go through the story for 1 hour without encountering some kind of puzzle. And maybe I am dumb, but I find a lot of them to be unreasonably difficult, maybe even harder than the battles without resorting to a guide going by the time one can get stuck on them.

Actually I have to give the devs some respect for this sheer lack of restraint, simply making what they want without considering if it'll appeal to people. I think there is value in making things you love, instead of what others will like even though in this specific case I don't personally agree with the devs' artistic vision.

I am aware that guides exist (which I have relied on a lot after getting stuck on something for 10+ minutes, I *have* to at least give them an honest attempt) and there's a password that allows you to skip them. So the frustration is partially on me.

Some of the puzzles are also pretty obtuse and could use better guidance (for example, the Giratina color puzzle and the Arceus statue noclip puzzles).

						Story and writing (UNMARKED SPOILERS)

Man, where do I even start with this? This game has tons of characters, and a relatively simple overarching plot of trying to stop Team Meteor from collecting the 4 MacGuffins which everyone presumes will lead to dire consequences (it actually doesn't). But it's extremely lengthy, and the game has mountains of subplots going on with those characters. What I'll do here is to just give my list of thoughts on the writing, and talk about how I interpret some characters. For context I did Reshiram-Lin route.

Worldbuilding: One thing that I really like the most about the game is how Pokemon are really integrated in the setting. Pokemon exist as more than tools of battle or pets. One instance that is memorable to me was the cage puzzle where you have to use an Abra to teleport various caged Pokemon to heat some iron bars, cool it and then smash it them to escape imprisonment. The gameplay traits of Pokemon and Pokedex entries are acknowledged in the dialogue and set pieces in the game (like how Blake remarking how well an Aggron can swim, and seeing a Bagon jumping off a cliff to learn how to fly). It's one of the better parts of the writing/worldbuilding that I haven't seen anyone talk about.

Dialogue and styles of speech: Many characters in the main cast have distinct styles of speech. This does a lot to tell you about their personality. It actually reminds me quite a bit of Fate Grand Order's localisation where different Servants can sound modern or fantastic depending on their inclinations and background. Some might consider it cartoonish and unrealistic, but I think it fits the aesthetics of the game just fine.
I do have a couple of minor complaints about the dialogue: I find some characters (for example, Ace, Ciel, Elias, anyone who speaks fancy in general) to be a little difficult to parse. There are plenty of scenes where characters just drone on for too long. I think there are pacing issues with some dialogue, and it's exacerbated by the fact that we have a silent protagonist that does absolutely nothing to break up the walls of text thrown our way. But then, maybe I am just too brainrotted from reading chatgpt too often to read properly.

3. Puppet Lin and child Lin: I find puppet Lin to actually be a pretty good villain. The sheer aura of that woman makes up for how shallow of a villainous Mary Sue she is. Literally any time she shows up you know some horrible shit is going to go down. Member of Team Meteor speak of her in fearful tones and the game sets her up as this ultimate obstacle that you must overcome. Puppet Lin doesn't need much more to be an entertaining villain in my eyes.

I find child Lin to be an interesting character too. As seen in the flashbacks in the Jirachi quest, she's obviously a very unpleasant kid to be around, and she has by proxy, murdered quite a few people through Team Meteor and puppet Lin. I might be misinterpreting her character here, but I'd like to think she's inspired by the MC to be less of a shithead after observing them making connections with others and making Reborn a better place, and the events in the postgame is really her trying to help the cast out in her roundabout, messed up way.

Of course, you can say she deserves death for the murders she committed and being a bad person in general. But that kind of goes against the themes of reaching out and overcoming hardships and trauma with the power of love and friendship in the story (which I honestly quite like), and she's like 14.

Scroll to the bottom if you're here just for the list

Preamble
Hello, my name is Siewek, welcome to my megathread about my long standing archival initiative. In this thread I plan to go in detail about my experience delving into the deepest nooks and crannies of the internet in search of past versions of Pokemon Reborn. The initial plan was to have an archive ready for Ame's patrons to download old clients as a curiosity rather than an intended means of experiencing what Reborn has to offer. I'll be sure to provide sources when necessary. It is also important to know that Ame, dev team and supporters are aware that this has been an ongoing project, and everyone has been nothing but supportive from the very beginning. I will also provide a list of whats recovered and whats missing at the end as a TL:DR because not everyone is interested in the entire process.

     Who am I?
I'm Siewek, lost media is one of my passions, I joined Reborn forums in 2021 but have been a fan since high school years. Over the last couple of years in addition to restoring old episodes I've done more archiving work for the website. As of writing this post, I do have some limited moderation powers given to me with trust to take care of "The Vault". What is the Vault? I'm so glad you asked, It's a forum category available for Patreon supporters, containing an organised list of threads depending on the topics, for example Game history, History of the online league. It's nothing anybody cant find on their own, it's just compiled into an easily digestable way of browsing. I've mostly restricted my forum activity to finding old threads, pieces of information, artwork, anything worth archiving and putting it in the vault.

The Easy part
This archival initiative isn't anything new, there have been couple of people interested in finding working versions of past episodes of reborn, but Im pretty sure it was never done on such a massive scale as I am looking for them, the plan is simple, find at least one working client of every episode from 1-19 and safely store them somewhere, or better, have patreon supporters download them so they don't go missing again. So with hope in my heart, I went on looking. And to my surprise, it was pretty easy, with some minor experience looking for old things very quickly some old threads containing mega.nz links with past episodes emerged, so within couple of days episodes 9, 10, 12-18 were recovered. But for some reason, episode 11 was missing from that list, the links to it were dead or lead to websites that didn't have them anymore. I did eventually recover episode 11 too, although it wasnt as simple as the previous ones, it is safely archived. More on that later....

   The not so easy part
Unfortunately, this is where things started going downhill and will have to expand on the concept of how past episodes operated. In the very beginning, before Pokemon Reborn was a game, and when the first iterations of the online league were running, Rebornevo was known as Poke-Place.com, It was given the Reborn name because people would leave during school months and then the community would be "Reborn" and come back around summer time. The first community ideas to make a video game centering around Reborn appeared in November 2011, then couple months later Ame drew a map of the Reborn Region and game plans were starting to form, it wasn't just a wild idea anymore. Ame very quickly provided the community with the first build of the game on April 16th 2012 which contained about 4 hours of gameplay (Note: The 4 hours of gameplay back then, was very different than what 4 hours of modern reborn would be, but this post isn't about gameplay), then episode 2 couple months later on may 28th 2012, and that was happening all the way up to episode 8 on may 22nd 2013. All those episodes were available to download under link Poke-place.com/game (which will redirect you here to a website couldnt be found page, but the link is viewable on waybackmachine), and that's pretty much it, this was the only place you could download the game from officially and with every newer release the old files were swapped for new ones under the same link.

So why don't you download from the wayback machine if the link is still there?

I hear you dear reader, and unfortunately, wayback machine in most cases doesnnt store binary files, only snapshots, the link leading to files PokemonReborn.zip or PokemonRebornS,zip (animated and static sprite versions) doesnt lead anywhere and definitely doesnt lead to files. You can view the website, but no download will actually work (except for some reason episode 14, that could be downloaded through wayback machine, painfully slowly but it worked, but it Im getting ahead of myself). In 2013 the website swapped domains it wasn't poke-place.com anymore, but PokemonReborn.com, that's why wayback machine snapshots for poke-place.com cut off at around 2013 and anything afterwads will redirect you to the new website.

Episode 9 and why was it easy to find and Episode 8 isn't
In the late stages of episode 8 and later when episode 9 released the game files weren't just downloadable from one link - Ame had started out using mirrors. Episode 8 had been hosted on GameFront.com, while starting with Episode 9 mega.co.nz was added as another mirror. Its also importand to add that the game has started gaining popularity at that point so more and more people had the game and to this day when you ask a Reborn veteran about old clients, the most likely answer you'll hear is "The oldest episode I have i episode IX". Later in 2016 the website domain switched again to what we know and love now, Rebornevo.com. This is overall a good thing, but for an old post enthusiast like me, means that in every thread a link to PokemonReborn.com post goes nowhere, the linked thread does exist in Rebornevo the link is just different, and requires some knowledge of Decipher-Fu dark arts.
For instance lets look at my profile, my user id is 100148, my profile on poke-place would look something like this: http://www.poke-place.com/forum/index.php?showuser=100148
(obviously this profile doesnt exist as I registered my account in 2021, long after poke-place became rebornevo), then similar story for pokemonReborn.com: www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showuser=100148, but on rebornevo my profile would be: https://www.rebornevo.com/forums/profile/100148-siewek/ so if you found my hypothetical profile on the old domains, you would have to change the link to the rebornevo version to find me, this is the same story for every thread you can find on wayback machine.

Okay, Siewek, but you said that episode XI was also gone? So what's with that if there's Mirrors and people dowloaded the game much more?

True... and to be honest, I dont know why that specific episode was gone, at that point in time, in early 2014 the game was pretty huge in terms of popularity, some people did have it stored on their devices but for some reason, whenever someone posted a download link, it was broken. And here comes the absolute legend to save the day: MonkeyDog, owner of MonkeyPro.net

MonkeyPro.net
I cannot bring up MonkeyDog without calling him an absolute legend every time. MonkeyPro was an affiliate site to pokemonReborn, it was actually a community from which Ame started Poke-Place Reborn, the first iteration of the Online League was held there, back in late gen IV days, called MonkeyPro League, I can write a book about everything Online league related but this would be ramble of its own and I promise you Im trying to stay on the track as much as I can, it's just exciting talking about the League. From episode 10 onwars, MonkeyPro.net hosted one of the mirrors for Pokemon Reborn, When browsing old forums posts on MonkeyPro I eventually stumbled upon a post about a website steam group, I found it and joined it, made a post that Im looking for past reborn episodes and waited in the groupchat, not really expecting anything, after some time, Mr Legend MonkeyDog gets back to me, confirming that he did host the game on his website a while back and he should have some working clients somewhere, and surely enough, thanks to him, Episode XI is safely within the archives. Thank you MonkeyDog

this is about as far as I'm gonna go into the future episodes, as all 9 onwards are archived and they're no longer relevant to the search, I will be focusing on episodes 8 and below from this point onwards.

   10th anniversary of Pokemon Reborn
There has been talks in the Chasing Selene patreon discord back in 2022, to ask Ame to rerelease episode 2, as she said she still had Episode 1 and Episode 2 (but not episode 3 onwards Smh my head Ame), and what better occasion than the 10th anniversary of Pokemon Reborn? Episode 19 was already out, most people completed it or were close to completing it, the hype was still very much there (I can argue ep19 hype never went away), It would be awesome to have a way of replaying an episode that's older than 9. On june 15th 2022 Ame made a patreon post containing a zip file with a dev version of episode 2 available for patreons. It is there and available, however since Ame's wish was to keep to to the patreons, I did not add it to the archives but consider it recovered.

Why not episode 1 though?

I'm gonna quote Ame as I think she said it best, taken from the patreon post:

Well... nothing of the existing content really changed between 1 and 2, so it's more bang for your buck. Also, Essentials changed the save format between those version releases, so saves were not compatible between them. The other thing of note that changed between 1 and 2 was the screen size. Originally it was GBA-sized and it was upped to DS-sized, which entailed a bit of tedious remapping but ultimately is not terribly interesting.

Which I think is fair, I officially drop episode 1 from the search. Also I would like to give special thanks to Cass who has been giving us impromptu performance updates to the episode 2 clients which made it more stable, it was pretty cool.

Wait, did you say dev version?

Ah, good eye, reader, yes, because it wasn't actually the episode 2 as released, they also had project files, and when playing through it, beating Florinia the game kept on going... and this is the part where normally episode 2 should've ended, and then it kept on going further, right until Taka encounter after which there was nothingness. Apparently this version of "episode 2" is actually partly into episode 3 development, which honestly is nothing to worry about, it was realeased as episode 2, it plays like episode 2 so Im counting it as episode 2.

It's 2025 now though? That was 3 years ago

Yes, and I wish I had better news, this is the time where pretty much all good news end, and it's just tedioussness and dead ends ahead. I've been doing this project on and off since very late 2021, Clawed through every bit of reborn on the internet I could find, visited every shady website, clicked on every safe or unsafe link, checked every archive, fan game pack, rom hack collection and there is no trace of episodes 3-8 anywhere to be found. I wish that the archive could be complete, but unfortunately I don't think tht will come to fruition ever, but that doesnt mean Im gonna stop trying, let me now talk about all the leads apart from the random websites that may or may not have had the link

     The best leads
Remember when I said I wasn't the only one curious about the old episodes? There are couple of threads on the forums with people asking about them, some even provided some (now dead) links, but because episodes 3-8 were only available to download from poke-place.com/game and then swapped when new episode came out, the best chance for any episode to be recovered, is to start asking people who played the game in 2012-2013 if they still have any files to share, and that's what I've been doing for 2 years now (and continue to do so). I browsed old topics found users active in that timeframe. If you want to help looking for old episodes, please let me ask you to Not be contacting members of the community that are not your friends. Because there is a very high chance that I already contacted them, and it would get really annoying if someone gets multiple messages asking for the same thing, especially when they checked and replied that they don't have it anymore. A lot of people replied to me when I asked them, unfortunately nobody had any game clients I'm looking for, but a lot of other cool stuff unrelated to the game itself was recovered that way, and whenever that happens I count it as a win.

There are also other communities that Ame posted about Reborn releases in, like PokeCommunity. Pretty much the same story there, I did manage to get in contact with couple of the people who replied to the Reborn thread on their website, some got back to me, some didint, but everyone who did had the same sad news that they did have it at one point, but not anymore. Sadly this is to be expected as those clients are 12-13 years old now and pretty much everybody swapped their main PC at least once in that timeframe. Sadly, there is nothing to be found on Pokecommunity Reborn clients related anymore, Thank you to everyone who replied to me though.

It is unfortunate, but the best lead still is a very very slight chance that maybe, MAYBE someone kept the files on their device, just gotta keep banging my head against the wall and who knows, maybe I'll get lucky. Time unfortunately isn't on my side, as I have a real life that sometimes needs my attention (like a full time job etc etc), and also the older the clients get, the higher chance that they get removed if they werent already. This sucks.

     Gamefront.com
I actually managed to get in contact with a GameFront dev, because there was that link to a file they hosted at some point... and maybe the links were just moved rather than files removed.... and it unfortunately turned out to be another dead end. He went into detail about what happened and why it's not there anymore, I will quote what he said when I provided the links where the files used to be:

The personal file hosting business where you just uploaded a file to gamefront.com and got a link to share with your friends, much like dropbox, megaupload and others operate, we were unable to recover that data, largely because they were not public, and also because the policy was for them to be deleted after 90 days. Additionally, to further compound issues, a lot of media files such as the one you're referencing were often DMCA'd and removed back then also.

Unfortunately, episode 8 was stored as Ame's personal link, and it's gone forever.

     Youtubers

Pokemon Reborn has started gaining popularity largely after Shofu started playing it back in episode 7, this is probably my biggest hope that at least episode 8 and maybe episode 7 are still findable, the problem is, people who were interested in playing the game without being part of the community... are kind of hard to find. I did email Shofu's buisness email at some point asking whether maybe he has it, unsurprisingly this email went unsanswered. Shofu has a subscription discord server, to which I have no access because I am not one of his twitch subscriber. I may be letting you down slightly dear reader, but this is I think the only lead that came to my mind that I didn't explore yet, I did not join that discord and I didnt ask... yet. There is a very very slim chance someone thete might have it, but there has been so many slight chances by this point that I will get my hopes up only when I see the files. But Shofu wasn't the first youtuber to play Reborn, there were couple of them before, mainly FrickingNick and TheGamersTree. where they have content that goes as far as episode 4, which is crazy. I am pretty sure Tristen from TheGamersTree is the earliers recorded lets play of Reborn, so there's the live proof that they DID have the game at one point, but like I said, I was out of good news, I talked to both Nick and Tristen and unfortunately they didn't have it anymore. Very cool guys though. As far as random videos go, there are some 12 year old guides on how to install pokemon Reborn, but they link poke-place.com/game as their source, and as we established already, the files are gone.

    Lost media communities
This lead has some potential, but Im afraid not a lot, I did make a post on r/help_me_find and r/lostmedia which didn't get a single bit of attention, and even if they would, Im afraid that because the timeframe of the episode 3-8 is so short, at being only 1 specific year before the game got very popular, the actual audience was seasoned Rebornians who are in a lot of cases not active in the forums or on discord, the actual amount people who downloaded episodes 3-6 is pretty low. There is that slightly higher chance for episode 7 and 8, but considering that I had no luck finding episode 8 which is the latest one Im looking for right now, I don't think realistically this search can go much further by myself.

The outcome looks bleak not gonna lie
It has been around 4 years of searching for me, It's a very exciting journey and Im not saying Im ending it, I will continue to update this thread whenever something pops up. I dont think there has ever been a search conducted on such a large scale before, and the fact that going profile to profile asking "do you have an old reborn client" (more respectively than that ofc) is my best option doesn't fill me with much confidence, but every once in a while I get a new dose of inspiration and each time I come back to this, which I do more often than I thought I would, I discover something new, Reborn really is an endless source of curious info and I am never not impressed by the scale of this.

Im getting towards the end I swear
Okay, I wasn't entirely honest about that whole episode 8 thing, there is something I found, and it's pretty bizarre. When Episode 9 released, apparently there was a game breaking glitch with frames, and the solution for it was to boot up episode 8, change frames back to default and then update the game to episode 9. At one point Ame created a mockup version of episode 8 called FrameResetter, which was very very cropped version of episode 8 and I did find a stray link leading to it, because it wasn't hosted on the downloads page, but rather linked withint a forum thread. I do have the frame resetter, it does run you can technically play it, but there's no sound and I don't actually know how far it goes, since it was a mockup version of episode 8, Im not counting it towards restoration project but I thought it was important to mention this.

    So what's my point?
I guess now that I wrote about the journey to right now, my point would be: If you played Pokemon reborn episode 3-8 at any point please please please check if you still have the files and reach out to me. This is the only realistic way the episodes may be restored, I've done all I can and it would mean the world to me if at least one more episode would resurface.
Episode 19: Archived

By Archived I mean that one OR MORE versions of that episode have resurfaced.

Ame has greenlit publication of episodes 9 and up, enjoy.
Link to the archives:
Download Here

Another important information about the old episodes, is that you DO NOT need the play through them to experience Pokemon Reborn as it was intended to be experienced, objectively the past episodes are worse in every way than the modern Reborn, and they should be treated as curiosities, a way to look at how things were back then and how good we have it now.
Thank you so much for reading my post, I plan to be active within this thread and hopefully at least this was an interesting read.

I can't beat Hardy with this duo. I'm open to any and all suggestions that don't include too much RNG luck. I can change EVs, IVs, Nature, Ability or moves (legal moves only). I have both mega stones as well as pretty much any other item needed too, and can get Z crystals. Please help

I don't know what else to do at this point. I have the game on 'litemode' to kill his IVs, I've turned on the code for maxing out my IVs. I've done my EV training. I don't get what the devs were thinking, but I firmly believe this dude needs a hard nerf.

What's up everyone? I have decided to open of Hall of Fame!

Champions, here, you can brag to everyone that you have fininshed the main game and unlocked the post-game content!

The deal is simple. List your Pokemon team of six (or less) that you used to challenge the Elite Four and the Champion. You can post your team OUTSIDE of spoilers, but if you REALLY want to tell others how you managed to defeat Elite Four, then you MUST post your walkthrough INSIDE SPOILERS.

UPDATE: The metagame tier list for Elite 4 challengers is here! Check it out - and it will keep itself updating as long as you keep submitting teams!

OVERUSED (10 or more teams)
Hello,

I attempted to use the Fire Stone on the Growlithe I got from the police, but it didn't work. I then bred another one, hoping it would be different, but that didn't work either. Is there another requirement I need to meet?

Working on mod to add a custom cutscene. I converted the file to ogv and also I hear audio when opening game but no visuals. I have tested with FFMPEG with different codecs and made sure the video was 640x480 but it still wasnt working. Any help is appreciated, my file structure, code and image of black screen is there. Game works fine otherwise

	Hello everybody.

It seems that XP can't be gained when I reach the level cap. It happens in all of my saves, and it's a little bit annoying because the Common Candies are now useless and I want to evolve my starter at level 36 then use Common Candy when the cap is 35.

	Thanks in advance.

Ok, the timbur puzzle. If you are interesting into getting Samson's ace and the mascot from Agate Circus you need to solve a puzzle. Not a simple sliding or swapping puzzle but a rotation puzzle. In this puzzle the tiles are in the right place but not are not in the right rotation. It is your job to rotate them back so from this:

	to this:

Not so difficult? Here's the catch: if your rotate a tile all its adjacent tiles are rotated as well. This means you are rotating 3-5 tiles every turn making the puzzle a lot harder. To make it worse the puzzle is randomized and therefore is every case different. However in this guide I will provide the solution to solve the Timburr puzzle and all 4X4 Rotation puzzles (like in Insurgenc).

STEP 1: FIX THE TOP ROW

The first step is to put each tile in order by rotating the tile below it. As an example to fix the tile with the gree border you rotate the tile below. Because the tile below is chosen any other tiles in the first row are not disturbed.

So the first row of your puzzle should look like this:

STEP 2: FIX THE SECOND ROW

In this step the secod row is fixed. Just like in the previous step, only tiles of the third row should be used. This way the first row is not disturbed.

So first and second row of your puzzle should look this:

STEP 3: FIX THE THIRD ROW

Same as before fix the thrid row by rotating the tiles in the last row.

So the first three rows should be like this:

	Step 4: CHOOSE YOUR CASE

Now if you are lucky you get the solved puzzle. Good job, rng favored you. If not, you have your work cut out for you. This is why the puzzle is stupid, the randomizing process can make this puzzle either in a very easy puzzle to a ridicously difficult puzzle to crack. So for those who are unlucky you could soft reset for a better puzzle or you can continue this guide. After the first three steps you can get to 4 possible outcomes including the finished puzzle. So for the 3 remaining patterns I will post how many times you have to rotate each tile to get to the solution.

	CASE 1: 4 TILES WRONG

	Solution

		Spoiler

			 0 0 0 3
3 3 0 3

CASE 2: 2 CORNER TILES WRONG

	Solution

			 2 0 1 2
1 0 3 1
1 0 3 2

CASE 3: 2 BORDER TILES WRONG

	Solution

		Spoiler

			 2 3 1 3
3 2 1 0
1 3 0 0
1 2 0 0

	STEP 5: ENJOY YOUR TIMBURR

So yeah that's how you do the Timburr puzzle and any 4 X 4 rotation puzzle. If you find any new cases for the fourth step of this puzzle please either PM me or post a message her. I tested the puzzles a lot of times and only the 4 patterns show up. Also feedback on this guide is welcomed.
