The only reason why Torchic is "better" in the end is its ability to mega evolve. But here's another suggestion for a really strong, yet so much overlooked early game Mon: Caterpie! While Caterpie itself is really not that much, it turns into the fully evolved Butterfree at level 10, has 2 nice abilities, a decent move pool consisting of bug, flying and psychic attacks, 3 powder attacks and even Quiver Dance in the later parts of the game. Paperblade Posted October 13, 2019 Share Posted October 13, 2019 Infernape doesn't get boosting moves without breeding and while fast, there are faster things that blaziken will outspeed with some boosts while hitting much harder thanks to bulk up and higher attack. Some of the things blaziken can get away with running or doing are nuts Infernape is a very close second and has real advantages over blaziken though.
