Character Z betrays Character X. Character X then goes on to Die in Character Y's Arms. Character Y happens to be a big part of Character X's Journey. Character X passes on an important object to Character Y, before dying. Character Y goes on his own journey, and defeats Character Z at the end of it. Sound Familiar?
