Andre moves forwards to force the punch into an akward angle while he himself punches forward into the angel's chest. He moves his body with his fist to keep himself in an awkward place to hit when the time for retaliation comes from his opponent.

Lexiel tries to lock the incoming arm in preparation for another pin, doesn't quite manage to grip the right places, and ends up being thrown back a few feet.  Leaping into the air, she flaps once for stability and comes down in a literally flying kick.

Andre sighs as he grabs the incoming leg, spinning with her momentum so that he sends her crashing into the floor.

"This isn't a Bruce Lee movie hun, you're gonna want to stay on the ground when you attack me or else I'll just throw you again."

As he speaks he starts lumbering towards Lexiel, giving her time to stand out of chivalry and also the fact that most of his ground moves would probably break her.

Lexiel catches herself on her hands, springing into a whirling technique that looks like a dance move from the outside.  Andre, however, can see that it's actually a fairly calculated series of jabs and heavier strikes.  Doing it with the legs rather than the arms is fairly novel, and he can see how the dance-like movements might distract a less savvy brawler.

Andre takes a few hits from the technique, mostly so that Lexiel can feel better about it, partly because he's a little slow. However, he soon tires of this and quickly feints high before sending a sending a heavy downward strike at her face with surprising speed... Well, he is dropping to his knees as he does so, not really that surprising with that in mind... If this were an anime it's almost certain that time would slow down to further show just how much power his fist is generating, the air visibly bending around the incoming blow. It's not an anime though so it just looks like a normal, though rather nasty, punch to the face.

Lexiel tries to hop over the fist, instinctively flaps her wings, and ends up slamming face first into Andre's knuckles with the combined force of his arm and her wings.  She ends up about eight feet away, face down, unable to coordinate her limbs well enough to stand back up.  "Okay.  That...  That was a good hit.  Let's not do that again until I can figure out how to stand up straight.  And get some more practice in..."

After a few moments of struggling to stand, Lexiel blasts herself in the face with a conjured lightning bolt.  Oddly enough, this actually seems to help, and she's able to stand up long enough to stagger to the table near Eon and slump into a chair.  "Uh, sorry about waking you up, ma'am.  I, uh, didn't see you there." She addresses Hiroki sheepishly.

"I didn't ever fall asleep." She looked at the angel for a moment. An angel? She supposed that wasn't too strange, given the fact that she was currently reclining - she pushes herself upward - sitting on a space dragon. "Are you okay?"

"A bunch of those Rakdos guild loons put me in a cage with an ogre once.  That was worse, and I'm still here," Lexiel rests her head on the table with a soft groan.  "Probably shouldn't have challenged the hand to hand specialist without shaking the rust off first, though."

Andre raises his hands in front of himself palcatingly.

"Jesus Christ, girl. Calm down. You got some kind of self image issue or something? Like, come on, you're more defensive than Nat is when someone brings up her airbags. Besides, I've already dealt with killers mechs. And upgraded killer mechs. And the orbital Ion cannons they have... Ah, I miss those days."

"I remember when the worst I ever had to deal with was some homocidal, mechanical lab experiment looking to dismember me," Lexiel sighs with nostalgia, "Urza's bones, I did not appreciate what I had back then.  And...  What's an airbag got to do with an insect?  Equipping a gnat with an airbag would be pretty useless."

"I have an issue? You're the one who threw me around and made me look like an idiot! And now you're just going to dismiss me like that?" She stands up, tossing off the cloak as she steps down off of Eon's tail. "You think I'm that weak? I'll show you who's weak. At least pay attention to the person that's about to kick your ass!" It wasn't a question of whether Hiroki was quivering any more, she was outright shaking with rage - though she hadn't armored up yet, which was probably a good sign.

Andre raises his hands in exasperation for a moment before lowering them.

"First, do you really know that? I mean, have you tried equipping a gnat with an airbag? Second, you misunderstand-"

Andre is cut off by Hiroki's outburst. He frowns.

"Alright, I see you don't see the humor in it. I don't blame you. Why don't we just calm down and have a drink? I'm sure I've got something you'd like even if it isn't nearly as helpful as back home."

Lexiel begins summoning goblins under the table to jump in and stop a fight if one starts, using slight of hand to keep her casting out of sight.  The goblins are fairly stealthy, but the tangy smell of barbecue sauce pervades the area.  If he wasn't immune to mental status, Eon would feel compelled to track down and eat the source of the smell.  As it is, he just thinks it smells incredibly tasty.

"What the heck are you people doing, it sounded like a fight here-" Halley rushed back into the ballroom, unlocking the side door in the process. She had a half-eaten drumstick in her hand, reeking of the smell of barbecue sauce. She flinched for a second before realizing the impeding outbreak of a brawl.

"..." She quickly went back into the kitchen. The faint sound of her charging her Comet Blaster can be heard.

"Whew. There are still some drumsticks left. Let's see... " She took a plate and put three drumsticks on it, before leaning against the door, opening it a bit and carefully watched through the gap of light.

"I don't want your stupid drinks. I want you. . . whatever. You'll see how funny I am." She stalked off - as well as someone her size could stalk while barefoot, anyway - in the direction of the kitchen. If Halley didn't get out of the way, she'd soon have a door crashing into her.

Having noticed a grumpy Hiroki walking toward her, she took a few steps away from the door, acting like nothing has happened. She leaned against the kitchen wall and ate the drumsticks. Truth to be told, she wanted to blind everyone for a few seconds and stuff the drumsticks in their mouths.

Feeling hungry? If it helps relieving the anger...

She sat on a chair and started eating the drumsticks again, anticipating Hiroki's entrance.

Hiroki ignores the man for now, trying not to embarrass herself further. I knew this would happen. I knew it. As soon as I took off the cloak the respect vanished. All of it, all at once. Why does it have to be so hard to get people to take me seriously? Haven't I fought hard enough? What about all the people I had to beat to get here? I beat some of the best fighters in Tempest without breaking a sweat. I even had that bastard pull that horrible trick on me and still won. But of course, a fragile little girl like me couldn't do anything, right? Her reaction to seeing Halley already in the kitchen is. . . somewhat less than pleasant, with her making an irritable noise and immediately looking for a place where she wouldn't be in her line of sight, eventually settling for a slump against the side of a cabinet.

"... Ma'am, looking for a moment of solace? Help yourself to the food, if you're feeling hungry." Halley said. She could tell that Hiroki was angry, so she locked the side door for her, before turning back to finish her drumsticks. Hmph, she doesn't look like she's willing to share the same room with me. How inconsiderate, I got here first! I'll just leave the kitchen once I'm done eating.

Hiroki just leaned her head against the wood and sighed. Outbursts like this aren't going to help, either. . . She'd wanted to ignore the food, but a certain hollow feeling was beginning to make its presence painfully known. It DEFINITELY won't help if I collapse of hunger. She stood up after a few moments and grabbed one of the drumsticks, mumbling a "thank you" to Halley before retreating into her corner again, doing her best to eat the food without making a mess of her outfit.
