(This thread is for students in the rp only. Since this contains a small timeskip your Pokémon are around level 15-20. Pokémon that need a stone to evolve can do that once they hit level 20. Pokémon evolving because of happiness can do that once they hit the same level.

Also there's a new character so to make this easy everyone should know her name by now. (Especially coordinators))

October 6; Dragon Type Class (Week 6)

“That was everything we had to cover before our trip,” Devin said, closing the projector. The image of Salamence disappeared from the wall. “We still have a little time left so I’ll explain the schedule for the rest of the week. “As you all know by now we leave Wednesday morning for a three day trip into the Boulder Hills to study dragon types.” Devin took a seat at his desk and continued.

“We hired some cottages almost halfway through the mountains. Throughout the Boulder Hills are a lot of different Dragon Den’s. The place we’re going to is close to every dragon type; including Dragalge which is a rare find in the Hills. Now, since we aren’t going to the very top where the strongest dragons live, there shouldn’t be too many problems.” He looked around the class and paused for a moment. “The only problem is, is that our group is too big. Therefor three dragon breeding specialists will join us. We’ll split into four groups. That way we won’t destroy their habitat and can learn in a safe environment. For the first two days every specialist will take a different group with them so you’ll learn about all of the different species. During these two days you are allowed to catch a Pokémon, but this doesn’t have to be a dragon type. On day three we’ll allow every single one of you to battle on a rocky are, which is completely different from what you’re used to here.” Devin paused a moment again to let everything sink in.

“If you didn’t catch anything on day 3 and you still want to, just ask me and I’ll accompany you to find a Pokémon. I can already tell you that you should pack clothes and shoes that can survive a rocky walk and a wet, almost swampy, area. Professors Silva (Tyron) and Arlyn (Phoebe) will join us. The fourth supervisor is either Rebecca or Brendan, who assist Professor Redwood, but I’m not sure which one. Those three and I will keep an eye out just in case a dragon starts to rampage.” Devin stood up again and walked to the middle of the class.

“I’ve taught you everything you need to know in order to keep this a safe trip. However nature and knowledge are two different things. Therefor we will go tomorrow to my place. I have every dragon type living in my domain and I’ve rebuild it to suit their natural tastes. This should give you all an idea of what to expect so I’ll see you all tomorrow at 9am at the front gates. Don’t forget to pack your lunch!”

Devin’s timing was perfect. As soon as he finished the bell rang and the last class of the day ended.

Ryan was so excited to be able to go catch a new pokemon. Yes, a new friend and a strong battling partner. Ryan began the walk back to his dorm to pack. When he entered his dorm room, he released Feroces, his newly evolved Luxio, and Glacien, the still pudgy Spheal. "Hey guys, looks like we're gonna be able to get a new friend soon."

With that, the speech seemed to end right on cue, and people started pouring out of the room. Robert had went outside the main school door, released Voltage and Kiai after the long 'assembly' deal, and waited for the others to come out.

Kiai (Riolu) Lv.19

Moves: Counter, Force Palm, Quick Attack, Feint

'Support' Moves: Foresight, Copycat

Voltage (Elekid) Lv. 17

Kage was psyched. It was a tradition in his family to train at least one Dragon-type, and for once it was one he cared to follow. On his way back to the dorms, he almost skipped, thinking of the different kinds of dragon he might be able to train. Maybe I'll catch a Dratini! Or, maybe a Deino, or a Bagon; maybe even one of those gooey things from Kalos, what were they called again? He only stopped flitting about after he nearly dropped Lucas, and received a sharp complaint for his carelessness. I wonder what Ryan is going to catch? When he reached the building, rather than going to his own dorm, he headed to Ryan's, knocking on the door.

Ryan had just began packing his clothes when he heard a sharp knock on the door. Ryan's head swiveled to the sound and exited his bedroom and walked towards the door. Like I don't know who that is. I'd recognize that knock anywhere. Ryan spoke before even opening the door fully. "Hey Kage! Come on in." Ryan eyed Kage from head to toe. "I haven't made any food yet if that's what you were wondering.

Feroces placed himself on the arm of the couch, acting like a gargoyle. What is it with this guy and his constant obsession with Ryan? He better watch his back if he know's what's good for him. Feroces let out an inaudible growl.

Glacien rolled over to Kage's feet, grinning at his age old friend, Lucas.

al'Thor swiveled about in midair, focusing on the growling Luxio asn Kage walked into the dorm. Lucas shimmied down out of Kage's grip to say hello to the Spheal, giving a little wave as he did so. "I wasn't coming to eat," Kage said with a chuckle. "I was gonna ask you about the trip. I'm hyped, I don't know about you." He noticed Feroces growling at him. "What's his problem?"

"Hella hyped actually. Hopefully we get put in the same cottage." Ryan said it suggestively. "About Feroces though? He's, let's say, protective. I think he doesn't want me getting emotionally hurt. I kind of let him know about the situation with my ex. And now he refuses to accept that I'm walking around with guys. Maybe he sees something we don't." Ryan chuckled a little bit after that. "I wanted to ask you, I seem to be missing and shirt, and I don't remember you ever returning it after sleeping in my bed that one night. You still have it." Ryan liked to poke fun at that incident. He found it humorous.

"Dragon types. It just had to be dragon types," Henry griped as he headed back to the dorm to pack what little he had into a backpack. When he finished, he looked a the little wrist gadget sitting on his desk. "I guess that call home will have to wait. Once we get back, we'll test it out then return these tools back where they belong. It took forever to convince that guy to let me borrow them." Henry put a soldering iron as well as a few parts in a box under his bed. He then carefully put the Xtransceiver on top before sliding it under.

A Vulpix jumped on the desk in front of Henry angered by his words. He eventually came to terms and was rather disappointed. The Venonat simply stood there and watched. Being a nocturnal creature, she often stayed up with Henry through the night and would bite him if he ever tried pushing himself to go too deep into the night. Henry then gave a deep yawn, "Maybe I'll get some decent sleep on this trip. Still, it's a pain we have to be around so many dragons. Let's just hope they're not as aggressive like the ones trainers used in Orre. I'm sure you'd rather not have another battle with them any time soon."

Zuko aligned himself into a proud stance. He wasn't going to let one loss to a dragon ruin his reputation. "Vulpix!"

Henry gave a laugh, "I'd say was have a better shot at the Dragons than we do at the rock type at this point. I might try getting a ground type; otherwise, it's going to be one rough fight." He saw his Venonat join Zuko to show she wasn't afraid. "I probably could figure something out. We still don't know who are next partner is so let's just forget about strategy right now.

The trio then wondered around the halls for a bit. Henry was probably the only kid in school not excited to go on this field trip. He needed something to get his mind off of it.

Colin was very excited about the excursion, but still divided due to Evan's question in the dinner some weeks ago. Should he get a dragon, even though a non water one? He was compelled to say no, but the doubt still roamed in his head. "Well, one thing at a time... First of all let's see Devin's Kingdra, right Cel?" the Horsea, who was now looking much stronger, stopped helping him with the packing for a moment to cry a happy "sea!". Kyte was running around the room, as always. For more training and exercises they did, he was always full of energy.

Jacob stood over his suitcase, trying to decide what else he needed to pack. Hmm.... Maybe I need more underwear? he thought to himself, completely at a loss as to what to do. Teo was curled up on a pillow on Jacob's bed, snoring gently as he slept. Chalchi was relegated to the common room, as she wouldn't physically fit in Jacob's. She watched her Trainer pack intently, unsure of where they were going. And so, finally, she gave an inquisitive cry. Jacob turned around and laughed at the head in his doorway. "Don't worry Chalchi, you're coming with me! The whole class is taking a trip to the Boulder Hills. They're gonna go catch some Dragon-type Pokemon and learn about them in their natural habitat. But I think we have enough Dragons on our team with Teo here," he said quietly, trying not to wake the Trapinch. Chalchi nodded understandingly and continued to watch her Trainer pack from the doorway.

What should I catch? I need another team member, but it needs to be one I can catch in the mountains, he pondered. The young Trainer slipped his PokeDex out of his pocket and began looking through the National Dex. However, he stopped only one scroll down and grinned like an idiot. "Yeah..." he said aloud. "That'll do. That'll do just fine."

The last 6 weeks have been awesome for Shiro. He had become closer with Robert, his first actual friend, and the situation with Henry apparently subsided (as long as they kept him away from Kenny). Shun and Tal have both been practicing and have learned a few new useful moves. They even got to practice in the contest hall in order to taste what it feels like to be a coordinator on stage. And Tal had been behaving better, although she stil rejeted Shiro's commands... Well, at the very least, she stopped attacking them. The only downside was that he was running low on BP... The amount he was getting from schoolwork and such stuff was to small to sustain a high amount of BP and he had been avoiding battles at all cost.

He pulled out his Pokedex and sighed. '27 BP... I hope it'll be enough to get me enough ingredients to make a good enough lunch for the guys.' He thought to himself as he walked towards the dorm. Shun was standing on his shoulder, glancing into the distance, while Tal walked a few meters in front of them, her cone tilted backwards as she held her nose up high. His thoughts soon drifted back to Devin's speech. He wasn't sure how to feel about what he had said... Shiro wasn't really eager to spend 3 days on some mountain surrounded by wild dragons.

He shrugged it off and continued on.

When he got to the dorms, he realized Henry had already arrived. Shiro opened the unlocked door and walked inside. Tal immediately ran between his legs and jumped on the couch, grabbing her usual spot just for herself, hissing at Zuke as she passed him by.

"Hi." Shiro greeted Henry as he kneeled to put his bag on the floor. "I was thinking of maybe going to buy some food... Maybe even meet up with Robert. He said he was gonna help me make lunch for tomorrow..." He stopped and sighed again. Talking to Henry had been comlicated ever since that day, even though they both apologized. "I mean... Uhm... Do you maybe want to come with us?"

Alvin started packing. He really wasn’t looking forward to go on a dragon excursion. A bug excursion, now that would be interesting! But he kept an open mind about it since Professor Cadmus mentioned they could catch other types as well. And who knows; he might find an interesting bug type he hadn’t really studied yet.

In the past six weeks Alvin mostly ignored Claude and spent his time in the forest studying the local bug Pokémon, except at night. The image of the Trevenant was still clear in his head and he didn’t want to run into him again. He didn’t really bother getting to know others either. Kenny, Danielle and Henry were still annoying as hell, even more so then Claude, and Evan ignored him most of the time. Not that he complained after what happened the first day. The only one he seemed to get along with was Lana. She didn’t really bother with bug types, which Alvin found a waste of potential, but she didn’t judge him either.

He threw his luggage on his bed and sat beside it. His Combee and Dwebble were both sleeping. Shellie, the Dwebble, proved to be more than capable at battling. Queen on the other hand struggled a little against types she had a disadvantage against. But Alvin knew he had to be patient. Soon she would evolve into a powerful Vespiquen.

****************

Lana opened her dorm room. Rhy immediately passed her and fell asleep in the middle of the small living room. An Eevee was sleeping on his back but Rhy didn’t seem to care. For all Lana knew Rhy wasn’t even aware the Eevee was there. Again. She knew the Eevee belonged to Evan and disappeared from its trainer from time to time and got used to it. Speaking about Evan; she still felt a bit nervous around him. The two had spoken to each other before, because Eevee used Rhy as a pillow, but she never got him to open up. It was completely different than talking to Danielle, Claude or Mareek. She was used to talking to them by now and felt comfortable when they were around which helped her get out of her shell a little more.

She released her Nidorina from her Pokéball and took a seat. She had already packed during the weekend. “What do you think, Queen?” she asked. “Should we get a dragon type? Flygon and Garchomp both would fit into our ground team…” The gentle Pokémon nudged Lana’s hand and the young trainer knew that Queen would be fine with whatever she decided. The two were really close now and Lana was over the moon when Queen finally evolved last week. It encouraged her she was on the right track and gave her a little confidence boost.

***************

Evan watched Kyte run around and laughed a little. He got used to have Colin and his Pokémon around and considered the guy a friend. He didn’t have many of those as he didn’t really open up to people. He talked a few times with Lana and completely ignored Alvin, but that was the most progress he made with anyone since day one. Of course he had his reputation against him. Some classmates considered him violent, probably because of what happened with Alvin, and others just thought he wasn’t friendly at all. Not that he cared much about that. It gave him some peace and quiet time he could use to study; something he was terrible at. He found his amount of BP lowering because of his grades instead of increasing and had to battle people in order to not go bankrupt. The positive side to that was that Eevee and Cleffa gained enough practice. The little fairy wasn’t something opponents could underestimate anymore.

Evan watched as Faith was jumping on his bed. Eevee was nowhere to be seen and was probably sleeping on Lana’s Rhyhorn. His thoughts were focused on the coming camping trip. He wasn’t sure which Pokémon he wanted to catch, but he did know that at one point he wanted to grab a ground type. Maybe he could get a better idea after seeing Devin’s Pokémon.

((Did Kyte evolve or not?))

Slade was in his room packing and mumbling to himself,

"Potions, check. All five types of heals, check. Pokeballs, check. Greatball, check. Ok now that I've got all the supplies I need for any bad situation, though my BP maybe bad, let me check." He checked and it said 75. "Man, who knew greatballs were so expensive, good thing I only got one, and going from 150 BP to 75 isn't that bad right? (He earned 50BP somewhere between the six weeks) I know exactly which pokemon to catch aian't that right guys?" Growlithe yipped and TX was still a party poopper as usual.

"Now for clothes, I'll just bring one extra set of clothes that should be fine. Oh have to remember about the food we chose but I'll leave it in the fridge for now. Ok Flare lets go find Jacob and Danielle, there's training to be done! Ya know, 101 It'd be good if you trained with us instead of doing just battles all the time. Heck you might even learn a new move like Flare has." Slade said trying to convince the floating loner into trying to train but he just went back into his pokeball. Slade let out a sigh of disappointment as he saw 101 glow red.

"Suit yourself, come on Flare let's go to the usual spot." They left their packed backpack and headed to the usual spot the three trained together.

Robert looked around, finding out that everyone had left already. "Seriously? Guess I missed those guys when they left. Okay then, I'll just have to find them the hard way." It wasn't all that too suprising that he was overlooked on such a day. Likely everyone, probably including Shiro, had went off to pack for the trip, which Robert had already packed for this morning before classes. He decided to head towards the dorms to wait for Shiro, grab the ingredients, and work on the meals for the trip, being that it would make things much easier to cook 3 meals for four people than 6 total meals separate. Of course, the second day had taught them to 'limit' Henry's and Kenny's interactions, atleast until they burried as many hatchets as they had to. Eventually, Robert had gotten to the dorms, and waited outside Shiro's and Henry's dorm door to wait for him.

"I was thinking of maybe going to buy some food... Maybe even meet up with Robert. He said he was gonna help me make lunch for tomorrow..."

"You're having BP problems, aren't you? I bet that's why you're bothering me today. Alright. I'll go with you and pay for your expenses. I have over 300 BP so don't be afraid to go all out. Just think of it as returning the favor for all those meals you've made." Henry really didn't have any other plans and had hard times finding what to spend his BP on. He kept his grades up on gambled good chunks of BP against trainers. It saddened him quite a few of his opponents didn't understand the fundamentals of double battles. It wasn't like the battles he had in Pyrite Town.

"I just hope this isn't one of your plans to try and make me become friends with that Kenny kid."

"Food, check; Pokeballs, check; clothes..." Danielle looked to her outfit for tomorrow, "Also check. So, that leaves only two more things to do!" Danielle zipped up her backpack, placed it on top of her clothes, and picked up her Pokedex. "We will start with our new teammate first," she told Avis and Corona, who are sitting together on her bed. "We have a really bad weakness to Rock types now, so I'm thinking about either a Fighting type, a Ground type, or even a Steel type. But," she looked at Avis, "I'm leaning towards Steel so that we can counter both Rock and Fairy." Danielle proceeded to lie down beside them and began searching for notable Steel type Pokemon in her Pokemon encyclopedia. She then put it down on her bed, allowing the Murkrow and Larvesta a choice in deciding their new partner. Avis began shifting through the entries by clicking the "Next" button with her beak while Corona watched and gave comments. Soon enough, Danielle's room filled with "Krow"s and "Lar"s as the two decided on who to pick. Danielle, however, remained silent. Her mind slowly wandered off to the trip they will be partaking, in particular, the cottages that they will be camping out in. 'I wish I could disguise myself so that I can stay with Jacob and... Slade.' she blushed slightly as the mentioned his name. 'It's not like we are going to be doing anything if we are going in groups. How paranoid can the professors be...'

"MURKROW!" Avis shouted in her ear, resulting in Danielle almost squishing poor Corona out of shock. Avis sighed inwardly; her master has been drifting off into space lately, kind of like how Jacob does whenever Danielle complemented him. Who in the world could make her this way? She acted fine around Jacob and Slade, it couldn't possibly be them, right? Restraining the urge to ask, Avis proceeded to tap the Pokedex to give her the final choice in their decision.

"S-Sorry! You don't have to yell; Lana and her Pokemon are here too, you know." Danielle retorted, not realizing that her head was in the clouds. "So, who did you two decide on?" Corona chirped and pointed at the entry currently shown in the Dex and then clicked another button to bring Danielle to another page. Danielle sat up to get a closer examination of each of them. She was shifting back and forth between the two entries and typing out commands to show each of their potential movesets and skills. Avis and Corona watched her nodding and whispering to herself every once in a while, an occasional shaking of her head means that her decision was coming quickly as Danielle saw potential flaws in each of them. Finally, she landed on one and showed it to her partners with some hesitation. "This will be our new partner." Her Pokemon cried their approval before they ran off to their training spot with Jacob and Slade.

Danielle couldn't help but smile at their cheerfulness. Before she followed her Pokemon, she decided to invite Lana, once more, to join them in their training sessions. "Lana! I'm going to meet up with Slade and Jacob! Do you want to come with me?" Her heart was also thumping nervously for some strange reason.

((Oh, yeah, I forgot about the levels. Let's say no for the time being, I'm gonna evolve him during the expedition))

"Well mate, this is gonna be a blast! I can't wait to check out Devin's pokes." Colin said, finishing to pack up. "I'm only worried there won't be many Water types in the Hills... Hopefully we can find a lake somewhere."

"I just hope this isn't one of your plans to try and make me become friends with that Kenny kid."

"Nonono! Of course not!" Shiro jumped at Henry's remark, but smiled afterwards. "I think we all learned putting you two together isn't a very good idea... So, are we going?" He asked and opened the door only to bump straight into Robert.

"Robert!" Shiro said, surprised at his sudden appearance. "Why didn't you knock..." He rubbed his head. "Well... we beter go to the store now though before it's too late."

When they got to the store, Robert picked up some rice and curry, while Shiro picked some frozen Paras shrooms for risotto. He then turned to Henry, looking at him curiously. "Uhm... what would you like to eat? And what about 'you know who'?" He turned to Robert, avoiding saying Kenny's name in front of Henry as to not make him mad again.

"Honestly, I'll eat just about anything," Henry spoke. Once you have to dig through a trash can for food, you pretty much will never complain about food again. "Zuko prefers seafood, but he'll settle for any type of meat. I really can't cook so we often just eat whatever is easy to make when the cafeteria closes. Surprise us and we won't complain. Oh yeah, Gypsy likes Berries, but I already have that covered. Sometimes, I enter that forest looking for Oran and Sitrus Berries. Pretty easy to find if you know what you're looking for." Not looking forward to this expedition. Still, it's odd how these two pests still cling on to me. I told them multiple times just to be friends with Kenny and ignore me. So why do they just keep coming back?

Slade was the first one to the Field, he came earlier this, about half to a full hour early this time. This time he has some thing he wants to try.

"Flare, I don't think ember will cut it in the forest, last time we went in there Devin had to save us from those Trevenant, particularly the white one. So if we are going to stand a little even a little sliver of a chance we need to power up your ember, or at least try using a new more powerful ranged attack. I was looking in my pokedex during class about fire type moves and found this one." Slade showed Flare the move, it was Flame Burst.

"See it's basically just tons of embers clumped together then upon impact the disband, I though we could spend these couple of extra minuets trying Flame Burst. Try it on that rock, it's not close to anything flammable so when it does happen it start a fire. Ok, so just build up the embers in our body then..." They shot "Flame Bursts" at the rock though it usually came out as embers or bursted before it hit the rock. They tried this for a good 45 mins with breaks here and there with small progress, Also leaving the top of the rock scorched black.

((Flare does not know the move, he hasn't mastered it yet so it will not be in his move set in battle until he masters it.))

“Didn’t Professor Cadmus say there was a wet area or something? I bet you can find some water types there… I mean it’s a mountain filled with Pokémon and they have to drink eventually right?” Evan replied. “Anyway, what kind of Pokémon do you want?”

DarkLight

Lana looked up. “Are you going to train?” she asked even though she knew the answer already. She was curious why Danielle was spending so much time with Jacob and Flare but didn’t want to insinuate anything. “I guess I’ll come… Rhy?” The Rhyhorn immediately responded, like usual, and joined its trainer. The Eevee was still sleeping on its back.

(You can let her follow you to the training grounds)

Danielle nodded as Lana, Rhy and the sleeping Eevee joined her. "We might as well get in some last minute training before we get out new Pokemon, you know? That way, we can impress our new partner enough to join us!" 'And to see my guy friends one last time before the possible 3 day split' she thought to herself. "Have you decided on who you want yet?"

Frolicking. This was the closest thing that could describe what Claude was doing. He was packed, prepared and ready for everything. After all the work he, Doux and Lancelot had put in, he was confiden that he could handle anything, even the Rock types in the mountains. When Claude discovered that Alvin had a Dwebble...well, he didn't like to dwell on that. He somehow proved how a flamboyant homosexual Lumiosian could be emasculated. Now Claude was almost skipping around the school whilst Doux rested on his head. Lancelot was acting like his usual self and refused to go outside, and Claude knew how stubborn that bug could be, so he was resting in Claudes room. One would think he was excited to pick up a new partner, but Claude was not bothered about picking up a new friend. These things had to happen naturally, Lancelot being an exception for some reason that Claude himself couldn't justify. Claude was just happy to see some new sights.
