I just been wondering… Is recoil damage to the user of a risky move affected by defense stats? I got an Arcanite with Flare blitz, and I have been wondering if I should go on trying to increase it´s Def. EV or not.

I do a lot of tons of rotations, so instead of going for a main team, I Will just put just with which set up I managed to beat a Gym leader.
If remember well:
Pyroar: Flamthrower-Crunch-Echoed Voice-Noble Roar
Greninja: Water pulse- Substitute- Quick Attack- Smack Down
Jellicent: Rain Dance- Brine- Onmious Wind - Recover
Brozong: Future Vision- Metal Sound- Strengh- Safeguard.
Sandslash: Sword Dance- Dig- Sand Tomb- Slash
Zebstrika: Charge- Discharge- Flame Wheel- Thunder Wave.
Battle was hard, got defeated 2 times. Sent first both water types, set up rain and do as many damage as possible(For some reason Aya sent Salazzle after Nidoqueen was down instead of Venusaur. She loves to spam Sludge Wave it seems). Greninja can use Smack down to change to Rock type and receive less damage from Sludge Wave , and Jellicent is tanky as hell(put a lot of EV in Defense).
Then, I sent both the Zebra and Sandslash, one has 2 effective move against the poison types, while other can cause multiple paralisis with one discharge, or set one for sure with a Thunder Wave. And Sands being a Ground type is inmune to electric attacks(In a Double battle Discharge hits everything around the user).
Pyroar for that annoying Venusaur. And Bronzong for anything in case I get a dent in my attack plan. Being Steel type and being able to make Future Sights for each target before switching to other pokemon makes him an excellent choice in this battle.
Battle was hard, but not THAT hard. Still doesn´t compare to my suffering when I tried to beat Julia.

Hi. So... I´m tigracho. first half of the name comes from the spanish translation of tiger "Tigre", and "acho" is a augmentative derogatory spanish suffix. So basically my name is Big Bad Tiger, lol . Anyway, I joined this site a month ago, but due to college I almost never logged until now, and I like pokemon, althought the only versión I ever played were Fire Red and Ruby from Gen 3, and Platinum from Gen 4. I intend to be more active from now on, because now I have noticed just how good is this comunity is. To be honest, I discovered this game, Pokémon Reborn two years ago, or rather, I became aware of it´s existance, but I never gave it a shot until just two months ago, in september when I was looking for playthroughs of Pokémon Fan games, and then I found the videos of TTar(Also know as the guy who is attempting a nuzlocke in this crazy-hard game, can you believe how lucky he has been until now!?) So I got curious, and downloaded from the site. Needless to say, the amount of love and dedication on this game really surprises me, to the point that I think that Pokémon Reborn is better than the main games. It´s basically the same gameplay, but with new mechanics that makes certain battles more changelling and forcé you to take diferent approuches, and I´m not gonna mention the story, because it´s just pretty good. Either way, as of my progress of the game, I´m in the wastelands now, getting ready to fight agaisnt Aya. I may post photo of my current team for this playthrough later. I hope this introduction doesn´t come as short or as if I missed something. And I look forward to get along with all of you.

First time I ever use the trade system from the Pokegear, I choosed Wonder Trade without realizing how it worked, and I got this I had a Shelmet and I was planning to trade it for a karrablast, but this works for me too. If you are Reading this, thank you very much, Jake.
