I am trying to get all of the starters for the grandhall quest but I am now realizing that I did the beldum quest without getting the squirtle. is it possible to still get squirtle? If not could I trade someone for one?

I haven't yet, was worried that there wouldn't be another way to get it. Thanks

I only recently got back into reborn after a long break and progressed through the new story, beating Arclight in the Devon Corp/Team Meteor thing, but I hadn't gotten the list of people from Arclight to return the stolen pokemon to. Now he is not in the grand hall and the people who I am supposed to give the mons to don't mention their missing mons. Can I still get the mega ring or have I screwed it up entirely?
