  1. There is one simple way to describe why WW3 will not happen (over this issue): Russia. You might think this would be the exact reason war breaks out, but that would be rather the opposite. You see, there are many many factors with Russian foreign policy. Keep as much influence in as many regions as possible. Thus far, they effectively only have one crucial ally in every region. Syria in the Middle East, North Korea in East Asia, Egypt in Africa, and Cuba in the Americas (and possibly a friendly relationship with Brazil). They want to keep Syria as an ally in the Middle East and they want their bases to stay there. That being said, there are boundaries even Russia will not cross. Though they themselves have ("allegedly") used chemical weapons in their campaign against Georgia they know the world is a lot more connected and vastly prone to social media. Reports such as those that came out of Syria following the most recent chemical attack are very damning. Just because the United States pulled most of its personnel from Syria does not mean they can't strike back. al Asad viewed the US pulling forces out as weakness and less of a willingness to pursue the civil war any further. He greatly mistook the backlash and our capability. With such events occurring there is a certain point where Russia has to throw up its hands and say, "Sorry, you screwed up badly this time. We can't do anything instrumental." In doing this, they show the Syrian regime it can't royally screw up and Russia will always have its back.
  2. I like your concept. Really hope it turns into something great and thoroughly enjoyable.
  3. While I do agree Reborn is a great game I'm very surprised when people hail it as the best of its kind anywhere. Granted, I will admit it's the first of its kind to implement such radical changes to gameplay and follow up these changes with a moderately compelling story. Though I won't say the story is necessarily bad it is indeed lacking in depth. There's a lot going on, a lot of people dying, a lot conflict happening, a lot of "development" going on, but there's still so much that can enrich the experience. Not many games can hold a fanbase for so long and churn out slow episodic content like Reborn does. Truthfully, I'm sure they had a lot of things done before they began development. In fact, what we are trying to with Empire is create a world for our players that they will want to come back to and engage with. When you're just starting off with something so revolutionary people are always going to come back to love it. Even if the beginning was a bit rocky. It just lays the ground for more people to great things so there is more content out for others to enjoy. Just look at Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series (man I feel old referencing that for some reason). It was really difficult to get through in the beginning, but it was funny and it was the only good thing of it's kind. Now we have other abridged series which are executed cleanly. Even the creators of YGOTAS still work on their creation, refining it. And surely, that is what Reborn devs (as well as Empire devs) will do for their supporters.
  4. I'd say my favorite thus far is Zeta/Omicron. Followed shortly by Insurgence and Uranium (if we're going by completed games). My favorite in-dev game currently has to be Sage. It's so great!
  5. Fairies can go away and I will sleep as sound as a baby. No remorse. Couldn't care less.
  6. I also enjoy putting Sludge Bomb on everything and using Hydreigon's max Sp. Attack /max Speed Flash Cannon (with a focus sash) to blow Primarina into the afterlife where it belongs.
  7. Primarina is just all around terrible. Case closed.
  8. You had me at "no Fairy type". I'll make sure to follow the project. Keep up the good work.
  9. trainer name: Stoic trainer type: Disavowed (Ace) Favorite type, types or theme for a team: Strong and Hard Fought (Pokemon that aren't easily trained, ie. Volcarona, Gyarados, Tyranitar, Metagross, Aerodactyl: late game foe) Ace Pokemon: Hydreigon Character traits or personality: Brooding. Fought on the King's side during the war. Defected for the safety of my family, but was betrayed by both sides. Family perished in the end and now I roam the region, a ghost, looking to squash both the "New Order" (Elected Council) and Team Royale. (optimal): if you were an important figure what would your sprite be like: Cross between AZ and Ghetsis (not descriptive, I know) P.S. Love what you're doing with the project, my man. I've come up with some fangame concepts of my own and I love to see other peoples' creative ideas. I wish you well in your endeavors.
