  1. When I found out battle items were buffed to +2 I thought that seemed like a good change, finally making them useful. Then I found out, to my very clearly misinformed surprise, you could use them more than once on a pokemon. In fact, you can use every stat boost 3x and have a mon at +6 for every stat, without using any move slots for it. It changed from me having to think about a fight to just using a very bulky mon with a good attack (mega-aggron works well) and starting with the relevant defence boost then alternate healing items and x items until it's an unstoppable sweeper. Not only that, but as mentioned above, they are priority because they're items, so you don't even have to at least first live through the initial attack unbuffed, like you would if defensive stalling with something like Misty Terrain + Cosmic Power with a bulkty slower mon. Now the thing is, sure you could say "just don't use them then", but having to knowingly handicap yourself just to keep the game a relevant challenge feels bad, especially in a game like reborn where until now so much of the enjoyment is that it offers a genuine challenge that requires strategic consideration for every fight. Fortunately Ame has now made Battle items only available from one of the highest floors of the department store, so at least they can't be readily used to cheese until the later stages of the game. I dunno, feels bad man. Very disappoint. Makes me wonder how difficult it would be to make a version of the game where the only change was that using X items are mutually exclusive and/or can only be applied once to a mon in combat.
  2. Yeah I analysed it in detail in the theory I never posted to the forums. When you post your interpretation on it, I'll probably post mine too.
  3. Woah wait up a min. I had another revelation after rereading several things, including the (actually 4000 word it turns out) document I wrote my big theory in back during the wait for ep17, and the end part of the OP's post here: Okay so while I'm not 100% in agreement about what exactly this is implying, mentioning the title "Void-kissed" made me remember something very interesting. The exact quote from Gothitelle is: "You will meet the void. It will embrace you. This much is inevitable. What happens after that, however... That, not even Arceus must know." The second line in particular is interesting. Until now I had taken the void to mean obliteration, and the second line to mean we would be obliterated. I still think that makes sense in light of Miss Direction's prophecy. However I think that the title Void-kissed and the phrase "it [the void] will embrace you" are by no means a co-incidence. Embracing often implies kissing and vice versa. Perhaps the void is more of an actual entity than I first realised, one which will, perhaps quite literally, embrace the player. I'm still not convinced that Florina is 'the void' merely due to her lack of emotions, and that if she is, then I would expect there to be more to it than that. Nonetheless, its an interesting idea to say the least.
  4. I actually had a few theories that I never quite finished putting together back at the end of episode 16 around the two prophecies (Miss Direction's and Gothitelle's) , the various Arceus texts, things Anna and Shade have said and Lin, Florina and Terra. As I said I didn't quite finish fitting the pieces together, so I never posted about it, and my entire thesis was based on the premise that Ame intentionally used the particular grammar and syntax of Miss Direction's prophecy that enabled my particular interpretation of it. But without going into details (and i did, i wrote about 2000 words on it iirc, which i have saved somewhere on my pc), my theory boils down to the idea that Florina is/was/will become Lin and that, given the implications of the two prophecies, we're heading towards some real temporal shenanigans soon. I know it seems ridiculous but I had a lot of things that supported my argument (but also undeniably still a lot of missing pieces). Anyway part of the theory was working out the motivations that cause Florina to become Lin, and I had also felt there was some implication of a relationship trauma between Florina and one of the other girls implied in Florina's Diary, though I think it must be something a little more extreme than a simple rejection (as in, it must have been a very complicated rejection, or something even worse). I have to disagree with that last point, though I'll admit I've only been around since episode 16 so i didn't see the earlier ones. However with episode 16 I reached a similar conclusion to a few other theories I saw posted on these forums regarding the implication of the ep 17 sneak peak, which turned out to be fairly accurate - that the quote was not from titania, but rather from Lin, and implied her being a robot of some kind. Damn you've got me thinking again. Time to play though again, find some more pieces to the puzzle and get the other route for ep17.
  5. I was feeling similar but ShadowStar's reply put that to rest for me. Guess I'll have to finish my second playthough and see how some different decisions play out.
  6. Hey, if you still have one can I get an A-Vulpix with moonblast and freeze dry?
  7. Sorry for going MIA like that, i ran out of mobile data and then a few hours without internet turned into almost a week without internet. I'll hit you up for the trade when i eventually return home in a day or so. I wasnt aware of this club thing but I'll check it out when i get home too.
  8. Hello Zarc, I couldn't find your other thread for non perfect mons I was hoping you could trade me a beldum for my monosteel run ep 17, and one other random steel mon. IVs / Shiny doesn't matter. I've only got a limited internet access as i'm currently travelling so after the next 20 min i might not be able to reply for several hours
  9. For the answers to your questions see below (EP16 spoilers):
  10. For me I think I'd have to say Noel, as I can't remember any other's that really stood out as giving me trouble. I'd usually have to reset two or three times on most gyms and 'boss' fights, but I also tended to be a little under level most of the time. I only remember Noel as taking significantly more than that, or maybe Sigmund on of my playthroughs as well. I think this topic is incredibly dependent on your team and your luck. On my first playthough, Noel took me about 10 or 15 resets to beat because Cinnico would usually ruin my day with flinchs and then if i'd beat it i'd usually have very litttle left to deal with the Clefable, and often what I had left only had special moves and status conditions, which were heavily mitigated by moonbeam and magic guard. Then I think I beat it in one or two tries on my second playthrough because I had a trevenant which resisted most of Cinnico's shit and then I had plenty left to deal with Clefable. I can't remember any specifics, but I realised there were also some 'bosses' that I'd beaten first try on one of my playthoughs just because I'd gotten a lucky crit and OHKOd a pokemon that should have been a major problem for me. Or other times I'd get really unlucky and, for example, a certain Chatot's Chatter would confuse my pokemon i'd get maybe 3 attacks in across 6 pokemon, and the rest of the time they'd just hurt them self. Which is a pretty unlikely scenario if you understand probability.
  11. I'm quite convince we'll see a PULSE Porygon-Z. Why you ask? Because of this: Still not sure where I'm going with this? Then read on (EP16 spoiler's ahead):
  12. Alright i'm jumping on, i'll be waiting for trade when you're ready
  13. Absolutely Also I forgot, but if you have a shiny phantump that'd be awesome too
