  1. Just to make sure, you've found her castle and aren't just looking for her at the scrapyard, yes?
  2. Wurmple's evolution is based on a hidden stat, so that same Wurmple will always evolve into Silcoon no matter how often you try. Try your luck with a new one
  3. Honestly, I'd fully understand if you couldn't be arsed to contine this thing with how irritating the game can be, and I haven't even seen all that more recent stuff that's apparently even worse. I fell off the game back after V11 or 12 I think, the one where you get yeeted off to the desert because plot and since then your nuzlocke has been the only thing that's prevented Rejuv from being banished to the dark recesses of my memory. Why do you torment me such I do hope you'll continue with some sort of project since you're a funny guy, good luck for whatever your next endeavors will be!
  4. Whoah, did Jan tell you when the final version will release? Does baby Volcanion count? Two mainstays of the team down to a weird-ass gimmick battle, rough.
  5. I'd be surprised if we're more than one year apart. How do you feel about approaching 30? It'll be a year away in two weeks. I don't relish the thought. You're about a week or two younger than me then. Best not think about it too much. See that's what I didn't know. It sounds pretty good if you use it right. Niche because the opponent would do anything to kill a Mega Alakazam on the field? Pretty much. High priority target, in Doubles, and Oricorio's not doing much unless it starts dancing. Can't mess with the originals too much or people will cry "Ruined". A lot of the Gen V mons pretty much were improved versions of Gen I mons. Not Unfezant though. Definitely not Unfezant. Even if you had a home your mom's dead, remember? Rifts are actually very simple. They just work however the fuck the plot needs them to work at the moment, duh.
  6. I'd be surprised if we're more than one year apart. How do you feel about approaching 30? I'm gonna go with "everything, all at once". No such thing as too much apocalypse, we're going 2012 here. Are you suruprised about that tho? (There's a correct answer.) Hey, where did your hair go? Trying to stack Sneaky Pebbles is a pretty bad goof, gotta be honest. ... you think they eat Meowth and Growlithe in Poke-China? Nevermind, I don't want to think about that. I don't think unfertilized Pokemon eggs exist, so probably no omelettes at least. Dancing is a free action Dancer does not use up a Pokémon's turn. Quiver Dance is the best move to copy, there was a bit of niche strategy in Doubles for a while with Mega Alakazam using Roleplay to copy Dancer then setting up Quiver Dance with Volcarona. Hey, don't talk bad about Pidgeot! It's not his fault he's a Gen I Early Bird!
  7. Sounds like your AntiVirus thought it's a dangerous file. If you downloaded the game from anywhere that's not linked here on this website make sure to get rid of the files and download it from here. If your download was fine then open up your Antivirus, by default blocked files are usually put into quarantine from where they can be restored. You'll have to mark the file as harmless so it won't just get caught again the next time.
  8. Iirc the anime calls him something like "Abhorrent Elf Swordsman" in most languages with is just hilariously mean. Gotta love obscure canon Pokemon stories and poorly timed gym battles, name a more iconic duo. mood
  9. Oh heck, you're alive. Welcome back! And right back into the mess that is Rejuv's time travel shenanigans. YGO, huh. And OG series monsters too. Your age is showing. I always wondered, why is that dude called "Celtic Guardian" when he's clearly an elf, anyway? He always kind of reminded me of a western fantasy comic version of Link. Mhh, either my memory is rubbish (which it usually isn't) or a lot about those segments changed between versions. I don't remember Edgevoir showing up there at all. Zoroark can! For some reason noone ever remembers that. Afaik it happens in Legends Arceus too. WakeMeUpInside.mp4 Mystery Dungeon belongs to Spike Chunsoft fortunately so whatever's going on with Game Freak would be irrelevant to the quality of any further remake. Still want a new game though. Also GF better not touch BW, they do not need a remake. Stop. Noone who dresses like that isn't. Well she's finally back now. Surely now the plot will move towards that supposed goal with no further derails, right?
  10. Could you change the save file location to be different from that of vanilla Reborn? Right now if you want to play vanilla Reborn you first have to move any save files from this modded version somewhere else otherwise the game will produce an error message on startup and crash. I have a lot of different save files that I tend to bounce ebtween so it would be nice not having deal with moving files back and forth.
  11. Hi, two questions about this mod: the google doc lists the locations for some of the regional forms as "same as regular", does this include events like the Opal Bridge Zigzagoon, where one out of a selection of Pokemon will spawn? Assumind it does, will the various monotype passwords works with these as expected? Does this mod include any of the stat and mechanical that happened in gen 8/9? Stuff like the nerf to Aegislash's stats, nerfs to certain Abilities and some Pokemon gaining a second Egg Group.
  12. Huh, I don't remember that whole "inside Melia's dying mind" segment at all. Did that get added with the last release or did I just supress that memory for some reason...? What version are you on again? "best quest in Mystery Dungeon" Damn right; that ending scene with In The Morning Sun playing always gets me. You heard about the copyright leak that points towards a PMD announcement in the Pokemon Presents tomorrow? Looking forward that. Also damn you for reminding me about how great Explorers is in the middle of whatever the fuck is going on with Rejuv. *angry noises* *angry intensifies* Lampshading it does not make it okay damn it! she says, standing in front of the definitely not Dialga-related Time Tiamond. This is just the PMD references chapter, huh? We're almost through with the "Fixing Aelita" Arc*. Remember how this whole thing was supposed to be about Aelita? Aelita not included Homework: I've actually pretty much never done any homework back in school. You must be some sort of genius teacher, Mr Derogatory.
  13. Time Travel Shenanigans are hard to write at the best of times. Suffice to say Jan did not do a very good job at it. Very much looking forward to this arc finally ending, we're almost there!
  14. I'm waiting for Rejuv to be finished before I give it another chance anyway so in the meantime I'm just along for the ride. You'll probably get to the stuff I haven't played before Jan finishes the game. Rimworld is the most fun when it's fucking you over and you have to scramble to keep everything together. If you haven't yet try the Randy Random storyteller, he removes the cooldown period that keeps multiple bad things from happening to you colony in succession. Dozens of hours into the game and still no clue what the actual plot is. Just Rejuv things. That's it, that's Rejuvenation in a nutshell. All the time, with everything. The fact Jan actually put that line in means he's either fucking with us or just extremely oblivious. Not sure which one's worse. Don't remind me So is this just a Dragon thing or are you rubing off on Rose?
  15. There is more story to the game including another final confrontation, but it's delivered in breadcrumbs over the course of the Legendary Quests rather than events that lead into each other. The quests themself mostly focus on backstories and tying up character arcs.
  16. Hey, Dragalge doesn't suck! It's got Adaptability! I, uhh, don't really have anything else to say. Don't like this arc much. RimWorld huh? I started playing that a bit ago and now I see it everywhere. Did not expect all that to happen to you though, lol.
  17. I like running Grassy Field with Things That BurnTM Taking the opponents Field away is a strong strategy in almost all major fights and Grassy Terrain is the first one you get access to. Fire is also probably the best Type for indiscriminately spamming moves since both a field and weather that boost Fire can be created at will. Grassy Field is also the most versatile of the Fields you can create; you can leave it as-is for Grass Types and defensive mons, burn it for Fire Types or use Sludge Wave to turn it into a Corrosive Field. You could probably build a pretty adaptable team using Grassy Field, Sunny Day and some Grass, Fire and Poison Types.
  18. For Doubles I'd say Shelly handily wins this. You have to fight her quite early on when your options are still relatively limited and her team has a very well thought out strategy with potential counters to everything you might want to use against aside from a few particular Pokemon. Her Araquanid is an absolute unit for that point in the game that will take away all your momentum if you're not in a good situation to take it out immediately. It tends to come out in response to players setting the Field on fire so the Fire type you probably used for that won't do much against Araquanid, leaving you with at least one Pokémon ill-suited for the new circumstances. Meanwhile Yanmega and Anorith will run a train on your team. Volbeat at base isn't nearly as threatening as any of those three but it can still make itself out to be a pain with Tailglow and Moonlight so it's another thing you ideally want to take out quickly. I'd say the only other fight that comes close to Shelly's difficulty is Charlotte but she tends to die just as fast as she kills you. Shelly doesn't give you that luxury, you need to work a lot harder to take out her team. For Singles the one I've had the most cponsisten struggles with is Samson, interestingly enough. I don't remember him having been an issue the first few time I played but at some point he started getting mroe and more threatening. Might just be because I rarely run Psychic or Fairy Types and most Flying Types aren't well-suited to taking him out, either way he's been the most consistently troublesome Singles leader for me. His Hawlucha is so stupid fast that you can pretty much give up on killing it before it gets to attack so you pretty much have to devote at least one of your team slots to taking that down with a Sturdy mon or something. With the boosts it gets from the Big Top I don't think there's anything that can take a hit the usual way and then also hit hard enough to take it out. Mienshao can also act like sort of a lite version of Hawlucha if your team is particularly lacking in fast sweepers. It's not nearly as fast as Hawlucha but can wreak similar havoc if you can't take it out first. To round it out there's Conkeldurr which can take hits like they're nothing while healing itself with Drain Punch. The saving grace with Samson is that his whole team uses only physical attacks, so he's somewhat easier to wall the heck out of than most other leaders. Somewhat.
  19. Most of the soundtrack is made up of remixes of official Pokemon tracks so there're probably no meaningful connections to be made between any motifs. There are a hanfdul of tracks original to Reborn, but as far as I can tell they don't share any motifs either.
  20. Swap out whichever one you feel you've been relying on the least. Personally I'd say swap out Lapras, but I've never used one so I don't actually know how well it performs. short bullet points on weather: - Rain: boosts Water moves; nerfs Fire moves; Thunder and Hurricane gain 100% Accuracy - Sun: boosts Fire moves; nerfs Water moves; Solar Beam doesn't need to charge; Thunder and Hurricane have 50% Accuracy - Sandstorm: damage each turn except for Pokemon that aren't Rock, Steel or Ground Types; x1.5 SpDef for Rock Types - Hail: damage each turn except for Ice Types; Blizzard gains 100% Accuracy; enables setting up Aurora Veil (combined Reflect+Light Screen) There are a few more effects related to specific Pokémon and moves but the above points are the most important ones imo. Each weather also activates certain Abilities, such as Sand Rush doubling Speed while Sandstorm is active. There are also held Items for each weather that increase the duration of their respective weather by three turns if held by the Pokémon setting it up. These work with both Abilities and moves that generate weather; giving your Tyranitar a Smooth Rock to hold for example will increase the duration from 5 to 8 turns. Freeze reducing SpAtk is a feature that is not present in Reborn since that was introduced with Legend:Arceus; for the most part Reborn still runs on Ultra Sun/Moon (Generation 7) mechanics and movesets. Burn and Paralysis in Reborn do reduce the respective stats since that's something they've always done.
  21. Your team looks quite solid and if you've gotten this far you'll probably be fine going forward. One thing I do feel like your current team might be lacking is one or two 'mons that can clean house in Doubles matches, you'll want to be able to win those with minimal to no losses on your side. Heat Waves under Sun or on Grassy Field have been putting in heavy lifting for me in many fights; Dazzling Gleam also gets better the farther you get into postgame from my experience. Since you're already running Tyranitar a Sand Rush Excadrill with Swords Dance, Earthquake and Rock Slide would likely be a good choice for you.
  22. Shellder actually isn't regularly available at this point, but if you do trade for one a special set with Shell Smash and Surf might be better since the physical set can't hit both opponents at once. With the Pokemon available at this point your best bet is probably Trick Room Jynx and then hit hard with whatever slow Ice types you can find. Mamoswine, Walrein, Avalugg and Aurorus come to mind. Avalugg gets Wide Guard from the move relearner which you can use to cover the set up turn but it'll probably only work for that first turn.
  23. That reminds me that I have no idea what anime N's status is. Showing up for an event like this would be way out of character anyway tho. Didn't iirc the Unova anime actually age Ash up to 11? I remember that being a thing. There have also been various mentions of months or years having passed in the anime so everyone is just canonically immortal. I guess trying to predict the anime was presumptious of me; I've stopped understanding what the heck they're doing ages ago. For under-rep'd mons like Haxorus any big showing is a win, fan creators eat well with that. I guess Alain showed up because he's a relatively recent character, Tobias is an anime-original character that last showed up more than 10 years ago. The anime's a bit of a continuity hell like that. Ün Ün ÜN Rhyperior in fangames more often than not run Solid Rock+Assault Vest which always makes them weirdly bulky against things you'd expect them to die to. Also Sandstorm buffs SpDef for Rock types in case you forgot. Ho, I'm pretty sure back when I played this there was an actual scene of Erin showing and then bein erased. Anyway, remember how this arc was supposed to be about Aelita? Who just got time paradox'd out of existence? Funny how these things go, huh?
  24. It's a pretty cool game. The dream stuff is mostly focused around a group of plot-centric NPCs and as long as you keep a healthy dose of scepticism it's pretty clear what's real and what's not. You don't trust anything NPCs say anyway so you'd be fine! Yeah those things, the ones that will slap you into a wall if you walk into them. I guess the closest we have so far is Pokken which is cool, but also a Fighting Game and I'm supremely bad at those. Ever since Nintendo started doing the Warriors crossovers I've been hoping for a Pokemon one, that'd be neat. "Thank you for saving all of us, now get out. :)" Maybe you shouldn't have talked so much about how you're going to be the iron-fisted godchampion of the region. Afaik anime Iris wasn't a champion during the Unova anime; all she had going for her was an Axew that never fights and a Dragonite she couldn't control. At least that's what I picked up, I haven't watched a single episode since Sinnoh. Ah yes, plot. I... really don't have much to say about that at the moment. Rejuv's overly obtuse magical ladies who explain nothing and other characters that actively make sure to not get any explanations continue to be as annoying as ever. What even is this game's plot I genuinely don't know. Anime World Tournament I'm sorry to say but there's absolutely no way Iris and Diantha are going to beat Cynthia - the most popular of all champions - and Lance - the series's first Dragon Master and non-rival champion. Especially not Diantha, considering she's one of the least popular champions in the series. This whole thing is essentially a fanservice setup so you can bet anyone but Ash and Leon will advance based on their popularity with the fanbase. Rip to Alain being brought back just to get wiped by Leon in the first round tho, I can only imagine Kalos anime fans are seething about that. Fun Fact: Ash's Pikachu has so far fought three different Metagross and defeated two of them, Steven better keep that in mind.
  25. As long as you're not restricted from leaving your current area you can just go back to the workstation no issue, at any point. The big glass boxes that you had to move around with Espeon disappear at some point as well, although I'm not sure when.
