UPDATE: So it's been a while. The second school let out I ran back to development. I've been spriting, scripting, eventing (), and remapping (again). The game is coming along smoothly. I can't give an exact release date because as you all have seen, I'm VERY BAD WITH DEADLINES. Just know this project is NOT dead and I'm working very hard on it. I've updated the forum again with a few new screenshots (I know, typical me) and even added a field effect section explaining the custom ones I created for the game. Hopefully this will bring some hype to this community. Enjoy the update forum!

UPDATE: Okay guys, so I'm not dead! I apologize for the lack of updates lately. I've just been extremely busy! Plus, my whole office area flooded because of a pipe burst so I haven't been able to look at my computer for a while! I'm hoping to release the game this summer at some point but again, I kind of have bad luck with release dates but I'm trying my absolute best to get this up and running! With that said, I'm also going through some major overhauls that with aspects I didn't like. My overworld sprites and maps were not up to the level that I wanted them to be. To satisfy your needs and to hype you all up, I've released some new screenshots! Again, hang in there! I'm working as hard as I can! Thank you all for your patience!

Just because I like to stay on top of mu updates to keep all of you informed I thought I'd share my revamped battle menus. The old ones were sloppy and outdated. Now that I have more experience, I'm basically just going back and fixing things I have already done in the past to give you all the most enjoyable experience as possible. As for the game itself, the mapping of the Badlands is coming to a close which means all I'll have left are just a few more sprites and I'll be able to finish the eventing process. Sorry if this is taking so long. I'd just rather put out quality rather than a rushed/half-fast game. You're the ones playing it and you deserve the best experience possible. Thanks again for the support guys! (Also, if you haven't already, let me know your thoughts on the Gym-Battle theme.)

Ok so I have good news and bad news. The demo is going to have to be pushed back (once again) because of my busy schedule. Recently I had wrist surgery done (everything went fine, don't worry ) and I had not been able to type for a few weeks. My recent posts have been by some close friends of mine. I also have SATs and ACTs coming up so yeah... kind of important. With that out of the way I present you all with the Gym Battle theme made by Zumi (who's been amazing with helping me with sprite commissions already). Enjoy!

I revised the intro with better dialogue and a few theme changes. Artwork is staying the same just because this is my first demo and it's not going to be perfect.
