  1. There are 2 ways to get a custom starter using the Debug Mode mod. 1. Navigate to the menu (where you click to check pokedex, pokemon, trainer card, etc) and click 'debug'. There, you'll find a new menu, with an option to 'add pokemon' - after scrolling down to your desired 'mon's pokedex number, you click, set level, and you're done. Just be sure to toss the official starter if you're planning to use it as a replacement and not an additional mon. 2. Navigate to the starter you chose, click to see the menu (the one which lets you choose to give it item, view stats, etc) and then click 'debug'. There, you can change species. And that's it basically
  2. Thank you so much! This game has taught me so much about pokemon battling, made me appreciate pokemon I'd never used before, and completely ruined gamefreak's canon pokemon games for me. Genuinely, it's just so much better that I can't go back to the original series; I just replay this game and rejuvenation over and over.
  3. Incredibly interesting post! I wonder if it's possible to recreate it in Rejuvenation intense mode. Considering the presence of things like the rift mon shields, and some absolutely broken fields/abilities, I can't imagine getting through it without employing cheese strats at least a few times.
  4. Is there a place where you're able to acquire more seeds? An NPC in Akuwa Town mentions the ability to get seeds in the Evergreen forest, but I'm not sure what he's talking about? I looked through the place, and I only found 1 telluric seed as a hidden item.
  5. That fixed the issue, thanks so much! Why Q and W, though, if they're going to list the PgUp/Down keys on the map GUI? Did they just forget to update it, or something?
  6. So, I've been trying to use the Golden Wings to fly around the region, but for whatever reason the PgUp and PgDown keys aren't working. To be clear, the keys on my keyboard function, and when I use them on other applications (such as chrome), they do indeed scroll up or down. But when I attempt to fly in Rejuvenation, they don't seem to register. As a result, I'm stuck in whatever region I happen to be in, unless I go the long way (i.e. by train, boat, etc), which makes the wings basically useless, since the truck drivers serve the same function. Is there a way to overcome this problem? Thanks!
  7. Ya, Double check to make sure your milotic has bulldoze, I could've accidentally saved in the wrong place.Game.rxdata
  8. That's the one I was talking about. If there's nothing there, it means you already have the TM. If you want, just give me your save file and I'll set it up for you.
  9. Bulbapedia says Lucario learns it by level up. But if you can't get it, for whatever reason, he learns other setup moves, like calm mind or work up.
  10. Bulldoze is found in goldenwood forest, though you'll need surf to get to it. There's a hidden grove with it and a zcell. I believe you can get flash cannon from Saki after defeating her gym. Failing that, a good moveset for special lucario might be aura sphere, vaccuum wave, nasty plot and psychic. Or, in place of nasty plot or psychic, you could add a physical steel move like meteor mash or bullet punch and basically have minor physical investment. I'd recommend you use steel beam as a substitute for flash cannon, but that tutor isn't in the game either.
  11. I don't remember exactly, but I think it was the move relearner? You'll need a heart scale.
  12. So, just finished my first complete run of V13 on intense mode, with an item ban and set mode on. Gotta say, this was a new tier of difficult. It really made me want to pull my hair out at some points. In light of this, I'm interested to know which mons you found yourself depending on a lot throughout your own run; particularly the ones that you kept on your team for at least a semi-permanent basis after obtaining them. In my case, I have a newfound appreciation for Meowstic. Prankster screens, t-wave, yawn, fake tears, charm... the sheer utility on this mon is incredible. Sure, it's damage output is laughable in the late game, and the nerf to prankster reduced its utility against certain mons like the rift gardevoir(s), but I found myself putting the psychic cat on a permanent rotation and started actively EV training and breeding to obtain the Ultimate Espurr. I think at this point, I like it more than Espeon, which is saying something. Sturdy magnezone continues to put in work, with its natural focus sash allowing me to cheese my way through a lot of the rift fights. It's the only reason I managed to beat the rift gardevoir, at that, albeit with a heavy dose of RNG luck. Also, it was incredibly useful in the trick room fights. Infiltrator. Crobat. Considering how early you can get this mon, it's downright incredible. Sure, it's frail as fuck, but it's ability to set up tailwind, as well its ability to bypass screens, were invaluable in fights like the gym battle against the puppet master. I'm sure Noivern could fill this role just as well, but considering that it takes a lot longer for Noibat to be anything other than dead weight, I ended up prioritizing the utility Crobat brought to the table over it. Talonflame occupied a similar but still incredibly useful niche as Crobat, in that it had priority when it came to tailwind setup, and had incredible damage output in its priority brave bird/acrobatics - at least when at full HP. Against Adam's Aerodactyl, this bird put in the work. And, while this one was only situationally useful so I'm technically breaking my own rules, I cannot heap enough praise onto Porygon. Trace, coupled with a boosting move, is literally the only reason I managed to scrape by past the rift Hippowdon, Seriously, even with Ren's help, that thing is too tanky for its own good.
  13. In the fight against the puppet master, I noticed that using Strike took down 2 of his shields. Not sure if it's dependent on the opponent, though, since he's the only boss I fought using it. It could be that it consistently does 2 shields of damage, or it could be that the next boss I fight will have a different damage output.
  14. I was given a cameruptite at one point, but I don't exactly recall where. Where did you get yours, if I may ask? The mawilite specifically interests me.
  15. You do! Relatively early into the episode, in fact! You also get, at a bare minimum;
  16. Have you already completed the game? Because to my knowledge, there isn't any way to rematch already beaten trainers. If you did, you could just load up a previous save file, though.
  17. I suggest you take a look at this walkthrough. If you ctrl+F for an item, you'll find a corresponding trainer which features it on one of their pokemon. Granted, it only discusses normal mode, and I play on intense, so theoretically I'd be able to get the items earlier. But assuming you're far enough into the game, it should be easy enough.
  18. Ah, Fling. Sorry, I thought you meant that somehow flinching gives you the item. I hadn't heard of that method either, but I'm interested in trying it out now. I'll let you know if it works- I'll be stealing life orbs for days, if it does :D
  19. Can you elaborate a bit more on this? Cause this is the first time I've heard of it, and now I'm curious lol. I can think of a few items I'd like to snag with this...
  20. My go-to was chesto berry sturdy magnezone. Lovely kiss has low enough accuracy that you can get it to miss one and manage to get off a thunder wave. If you're lucky, she'll miss both, after which the AI goes into attack mode and doesn't bother attempting to status you any more. However, with sturdy and no sleep, you can get 2 flash cannons off, managing to take down 1-2 shields (I don't quite remember the specifics, since I beat her two days ago). After that, though you can't exactly sweep her, her speed is drastically nerfed, allowing for more powerful pokemon to cheese it if you have some more good steel/poison/fairy pokemon. My go-to was a team with cinderace with poison sweep and crobat. If you need a chesto, you can farm it off of Spina in route 5. Feel free to consult this item guide, because a lot of useful items can be found if you're willing to put in the effort with a thief/compound eyes/frisk pairing, including things like sitrus berries, which are OP as hell in the early game. Also bright powder exists for extra cheese- get yourself a snow warning mon, stick the powder on a froslass, maybe add a double team to the mix, and have fun never being hit. That being said, the Gardevoir is easy compared to what comes next. My advice- get a trace pokemon, ideally a porygon, and teach it But yeah, V13 is OP as hell.
  21. Water moves aren't really that viable, because the field the battle takes place on weakens water moves. As for octolock, I'd basically have ended up spamming it just to counter the natural boosts the rift hippowdon received, which means I basically couldn't attack and the rift mon would just slowly heal itself every turn. I managed to cheese my way through it by using sharpen on my trace porygon, after many, many attempts. I do not recommend you try it on intense mode. It is not fun.
  22. Oh ya, I managed to beat it by cheesing my way through with sharpen, but tbh Ryland was nothing compared to the rift mon. He was incredibly difficult, don't get me wrong, but it only took me like an hour instead of a day.
  23. Has anyone actually managed to beat this thing? I'm on intense mode, and I've tried basically everything. It takes forever just to break through the shields because of its insane defence- each shield takes around 3-5 hits, depending on the pokemon in question, and it has 5 of them. But okay, sure, there's Ren helping you by lowering its offences and speed- it's ultimately a 2 on 1 match. Except it just ends up devolving into a stall war. It's ability basically applies a stockpile and leftovers recovery at the end of the turn, so even after, by some miracle, I manage to break through all the shields, it ends up healing more than I can damage it each turn. The cherry on top is the incredible difficulty I have in setting up. Trying to do things like set up dragon dances just makes me death fodder even when it's -6 on all stats, thanks to the wonders of spit up. I've tried everything I can think of- I can't suppress its ability because it's a rift mon, I can't temporarily immobilize it in any way because of the same reason- I can't even toxic stall or destiny bond it. At best, my current strategy is dependent on using a trace porygon to survive enough hits until I wear down its shields, but I haven't managed to go any further than that, even when I use an ice team that spammed never-miss blizzards. Am I just missing something incredibly obvious?
  24. Yeah, the fight def needs a nerf. It's not just the puppet master that got super buffed, but it's definitely the most unfair. At least with other gym leaders, you don't have to deal with a teammate who is weak to half the leader's team.
