  1. Every time I restart my game with F12 or start directly from the .exe file, the game is shown at the Large resolution instead of the Medium or Small option that is highlighted in the options menu. as shown in the first picture. This is temporarily fixed by toggling the screen border on then off, or by moving the screen size toggle to the desired option like anyone would normally do... So yes it is fixed easily, but I have to go into the options and change this every time. This is a problem because the Large resolution cuts off the bottom part of the screen, as seen in the second picture. How can I fix this? Some potentially supporting details are that I have multiple save files, but I went to each of them and changed the resolution on all of them and saved the game and it did not fix the problem.
  2. Forgive me if any of the following already have crests... The puzzles to get them all in-game are very tricky! Octillery/Glalie/Bibarel Crest: Gives a 20% chance per turn to erase dropped stats. To be used with moody! (The idea would be most fun on Octillery in my opinion due to its amazing movepool). Mantine Crest: Gives it an effect similar to Cramorant's Gulp Missile, since it always has Remoraid swimming with it (This would outclass Cramorant almost entirely though, so I understand if you would want to avoid that.... Yall are adding gen 8 if I recall?) Cramorant Crest: Alright now I feel bad for Cramorant. The crest would, in addition to Gulp Missile's surf/dive bonus, give a similar bonus to Fly/Brave Bird. Cramorant would snag a Swablu in the air 50% of the time that would have the Feather Dance effect, thus doubling Cramorant's awful defense. It could also snag a Castform (!!) in one of its weather forms 50% of the time. Of this 50%, one third of it would be a chance to Snag a Fire-form Castform that burns the opponent. Another third of it would be Castform's Rain form that grants Life-Dew recovery to Cramorant. The final third of it would be Castforms's Hail form that would freeze the opponent. (Gosh I had SO much fun theory-crafting this one!). Vespiquen Crest: Buffs base speed to somewhere between base 80-100, and doubles the strength/effectiveness of Attack order and Defend order, respectively. The Attack Order buff would make it a 2-hit move without sacrificing base power. Ninjask Crest: Buffs base Defense and base Special Defense to base 90 and gives the hold item effect of Metronome, but nullifies speed boost. Dhelmise Crest: Drags the battle to the Underwater Field effect for 5 turns upon switch-in (or maybe 8 turns!), buffs power of Anchor Shot. Golurk Crest: Since Golurk has rocket legs (so freaking cool), Brings the battle to the Sky Field effect used in Souta's battle for 5-8 turns, buffs the power of Fly to 100BP and takes only 1 turn (If fly isn't already buffed in this field... can't remember if it is.)
  3. If I'm the only person who votes for SEC I'm going to be sad. Such an underrated "character"!
  4. I don't want to waste too much of your time so I'll keep this short:

The music for Akuwa town (the one with the aquarium) is one of the most peaceful pieces of music I've heard in a long time.

    image.png.42732b3f9b13863371ad0bd59e1a1fd5.png

I found the music file in the game's folders, but at night the music is slowed down a bit and that's when it sounds the best. By what percentage does the game slow down the music? I would like to replicate the music in this state.

Thank you so much to you and your team. Rejuvenation is absolutely amazing.

      It's pitched down to 85%!

  5. Here's how I would think of this situation: What physical moves would you want your Hydreigon to run? Looking at it's movepool I can see there's not many, but some notable ones (Not STAB) are Steel Wing, Bulldoze (Earthquake is not released), Acrobatics, and Rock Slide. You have steel coverage taken care of with Metagross, so steel is not necessary. As for the others, bulldoze is low power and highly situational, so probably not worth it. Acrobatics requires no item, so not worth it in my opinion. Rock slide isn't obtained until laaaaate game, so might as well disregard that. So with all of this in mind, I'd say go all special. the other members on the team could run the same coverage listed above at a much better success rate. The thing that stands out to me more is that your team overlaps a bit with its fighting types. Blaziken is superior to Toxicroak for sure, but the secondary poison typing for toxicroak is really only good for fairies. Thing is though that you have the game's BEST Fairy answer on your team already with Metagross (slap an iron plate on metagross and NOTHING wants to take that... and Metagross is rarely OHKO'd in this game too.) I'd say to swap Toxicroak out with something that's a special attacker. Roserade/Nidoking (life orb is available) would be a fantastic option to retain the poison typing while amping up the power. Togekiss is available soon considering your point in the game, so that'd be a great way to add a special attacker with flying and Fairy STAB, which you could definitely benefit from. Florges could add some great special bulk while hitting hard too. Volcarona being so good is the only reason I'd say it'd be ok to double up on fire types, and it offers something TOTALLY different than Blaziken. Starmie is great if you want to add more speed, and I wouldn't call that doubling up on waters since Greninja is most of the time not gonna be a water type thanks to protean. In my most recent playthrough I ran Sigilyph and I was surprised at how strong it was with Magic Guard + Life Orb. That's another special option to keep Flying coverage in your team. Lastly, it pains me to say this, but Luxray really falls off in performance as the game goes on, especially since Wild Charge is it's only reliable STAB move. It's slow and doesn't have much strong coverage moves. The only upside is intimidate, but I don't think it's worth it. Most of the good electric types are legendaries, so there's not much availability in Reborn. BUT, the Rotom forms (mainly Wash, Heat, and Mow) are excellent and the best electric types available. Not only can you change the typing at will which is super valuable in a game like this, but you get levitate to be a ground switch-in and they have great support moves like thunderwave and will-o-wisp. Plus the rotom forms are much bulkier AND faster than Luxray. I'd go with Rotom Wash/Mow preferably on your team to diversify the defensive/offensive typing spread. Of course though, if Luxray is your all-time favorite pokemon or something then stick with it and keep things fun! But if you're looking to have a stellar team in the scope of Reborn specifically, then I'd say Luxray is weighing you down a bit If only it were a dark type too..... I've played through this game 6 times, so all of these suggestions come with some experience behind it. EDIT: Completely forgot Magnezone, which I have used a LOT. That's the best electric type especially with Sturdy and thunderwave, but it doesn't seem to fit your team in my opinion. As someone above mentioned, you do have a BIG ground weakness! Hope this helps!
  6. RPG Maker games, being made on a older engine, are actually better-suited to run on 1 CPU Core. You can force .exe files to do this by: 1. Starting the game 2. Opening task manager and clicking on the "details" tab 3. Right click on the Reborn .exe that's running and select "Set affinity" 4. Uncheck all the CPU cores except for one of them 5. Select "OK" and close the task manager. You will have to do this each time you restart Reborn after closing the program. There is a way you can create a .bat file to perform this each time you start the application, but I'm unfamiliar with how to do that. The method above doesn't take long at all though. This improved performance a TON when I discovered this. Also, you can change some performance settings for widows 10 to help the process out. Search in the Start bar for Power settings. I've gotten much better performance when I turned energy saving modes off (I'm on a pretty beefy laptop, so this allows it to function more as the laptop was advertised for sure.) Finally, depending on the graphics card/engine that your setup uses, you can open that and optimize some settings to iron out any last kinks you have. Hope this helps!

So I've played through this game multiple times and I think that some of the strongest early-game electric pokemon are Ampharos and Heliolisk. You can find helioptile on a sunny day atop a building in the Beryl Ward, and you can find a mareep in the Jasper ward from a man in the east side of the town (although I'm not sure if he'll still be there after the pulse is defeated, but it's worth a try.) Both offer similar power, but you can choose between great speed with heliolisk and great bulk with Ampharos (it tanks more than you think it would and gets cotton guard at some point.) Coverage wise, they don't get a lot of better moves until later levels, but until then electric terrain is obtainable (forget exactly how) and that can be valuable in thwarting the gym leader tactics. Ampharos eventually learns Power Gem, which is nice, and Heliolisk has potential with Surf and Normal STAB. I would say Ampharos is overall more useful. However, Electric types generally fall behind in usefulness as the game progresses. The exception to this is Magnezone with the Sturdy ability and Thunder Wave. That's the best available electric type by far. EDIT: I've actually never used Tynamo/Eelektross before. The ladder would be interesting with its ground immunity and colorful move-pool, but I worry about the speed. Also I think in some cave fields flying/levitating pokemon ecome grounded, so watch out for that. Hope this helps!
  8. Hey Ame/Dev team, Referencing this screenshot, I wanted to understand the difference between "eventing" and "story". If I were to guess, eventing is some type of programming lingo perhaps equivalent to scripting. If this is true, then I have to wonder what there is to be scripted if there's 0% story progress. In Rom Hacking you have to script every dialogue, NPC movement, etc. which means some of the story must be figured out. My educated guesses are maybe signature moves/items for the legendaries, animations, and item placing. Am I on the right track? Sorry if this has been asked before! Also, alongside putting many hours into 6 full play-throughs (started a new game each episode I played), I've been lurking the forums for nearly 5 years, so hi! Thanks for all the effort yall put in!
  9. Ok thank you for the help! Now that I know it is just a shard I'm not even gonna bother. I have sooo many lol
  10. So I played through Reborn a couple of years ago and I couldn't reach that item... Now I have returned to play through this game fresh in 2016 and I am still stumped as to how to get this item. Can someone explain this? Thank you!
  11. I'm doing a mono fighting run, so a chespin is a must. I Have the oddishweed, and I talked to the lady with the sick husband in her house in Lapis, but I can't get her to appear next to the shop vendor in 7th street. Is there a step I'm missing?
  12. I wanted to start this thread so that we could all collaborate to find out the gym leaders' items that their Pokemon are holding. I'm assuming that using covet/thief is the only way to get some really powerful battle items that are otherwise not available. I'm personally on the hunt for a Choice Scarf for my Moxie Heracross. Leave any discoveries you've made below! I know that one of Ciel's Talonflame has a Life Orb from my last play through!
  13. A few weeks ago I decided to do a mono run while waiting for Episode 15. I used a random number generator to generate the number of the type I was gonna use ( I counted the numbers of types down serebii"s type chart) and I got Fighting. It's been pretty fun! I will do an analysis of my team in the coming days, especially since the fighting section is looking pretty lonely at the moment
  14. So saving him is battling him, right? The red haired girl (Tatiana I think) has a point, that he might not ever change unless he seeks it himself...
