  1. Yeah, her OP-ness was a major problem as well. No matter what the good guys did, they never even managed to so much as annoy her until the very end. So yeah... I'm not gonna like Lin or feel sorry for her, and no one can make me.
  2. Okay, I've been lurking here for long enough, waiting for the game to be completed at last. And now that E19 is done, I thought I might as well give my opinion. And my opinion is... that Lin was actually written terribly as a villain.
  3. I'd say, have Flabebè evolve first.
  4. I really don't like Lin myself. She's something of a Boring Invincible Villain. I'll try to explain myself better. See, we get into this game as a Pokemon trainer who has decided to face the Reborn League. Reborn is an unliveable hellhole that produced some of the most broken, defeated examples of humanity in the Poke-Earth, and it is under the yoke of Team Meteor, a ruthless terrorist organization that keeps it in the miserable state we see it in the beginning. However, through our actions, and with the aid of the various characters we meet during our journey, things start slowly getting better. People begin to gain hope. They start to shake themselves out of their apathy, and to realize that there IS a chance for something better, and that it IS worth fighting for it. Team Meteor begins to lose ground, and the city starts to heal. By the time Episode 16 rolls, Reborn has become a much better place, and it is partly thanks to our actions. We get a feeling of hope, see what I'm saying? But then comes Lin. Nothing we do seems to even give her pause. Everything we do, it's all "just as planned" to her, and she's always five steps ahead of us. She can predict our moves and counter them as if she could see the future, and from what we've seen of her Pokemon, she's practically invincible in a Pokemon battle as well. It feels like the only reason we've gotten this far is because she wanted to amuse herself by watching us insects and our pathetic efforts to oppose her, and that if she wanted, she could wipe us out in two seconds flat. We've done nothing but play in her hands the whole time. At this point (to me, at least), she has become something like Aizen or Yhwach (from Bleach), Madara (from Naruto), Esdeath (from Akame ga Kill) or Paul (from the Pokemon anime) - that is, she is such a credible threat that now, there doesn't seem to be any plausible way to beat her. By contrast, I can think of Madame X, the main villainess of Pokemon Rejuvenation. While she is certainly powerful and dangerous, she doesn't have the same aura of invincibility that Lin projects, since she has suffered some defeats and setbacks that she didn't plan for. That's my two cents at least.
  5. How is electrocuting kids not crazy? To answer the topic... - I thought Fern would turn out to be an alright guy. - I thought Aya was suicidal - I thought I would have liked Victoria more - I thought Terra would simply be harmless comic relief. - I thought Radomus was working with Team Meteor.
  6. There is no swordfish Pokemon as of yet, right? Also, a Pokemon based on the Chimera (the goat-lion-serpent mishmash slain by Bellerophon) or the Basilisk (the serpent that poisoned with his glance) would be awesome. And it would be cool to have an Ankylosaur and a Dunkleostis as fossil Pokemon...
  7. Please, have patience, everyone. Ame is working to make this game as good as she can. I can´t wait for E16 myself, but I realize that it´s going to take a while. And I´m sure the next part will be awesome enough that it will be worth the wait.
  8. You know what, guys? Fern kinda reminds me of Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter series, when I look at it this way. Sure, Draco was a huge jerk, but when the chips were down, Draco could talk the talk, but he couldn't walk the walk. He just didn't have what it took to be actually evil. I guess time will tell whether Fern is the same, or if he will slide in actual villainy.
  9. I don't see Fern as being completely beyond redemption. However, I do think that Fern has a serious problem that needs to be taken care of before he can actually reform. Fern is not an idiot in the least (or else, he wouldn't have been the top dog at the Onix School), but he does have a very unfortunate problem in that he consistently refuses to learn from his mistakes or own up to his failings. In his mind, whenever he loses, it's because his opponent was lucky or cheated, therefore he doesn't see any reason to try and better himself, or work on addressing his problems. He's too arrogant to believe he has anything to learn from anyone, and he needs to be humbled enough that he actually has to face his own problems instead of just shrugging them off, before he can become a better person. This is my two cents at least.
  10. Hello to all Pokemon Reborn fans! I am an Italian Pokemon fangirl who has just recently discovered the awesome Pokemon Reborn project, and would like to join the community! I hope I'll be a good addition to the forums, and keep up the excellent work. I look forward to meeting new people here! I'll be hanging around!
