  1. Do you guys breed for IVs? I don't, but I want to start doing it. How can I get perfect/ almost perfect IVs in my pokemon?

What about dark pulse over extrasensory on Greninja? Heat Wave and Naive nature is a good idea? I just don't like recoil I really don't know why, but this thing can't take hits, it just doesn't make any sense, I was supposed to tank everything. If I really want, I can EV train this thing in SpDef and HP and see if it can do some work, but I'll try that lilligant, why not HP ground/fire over rock so I can actually touch steel types. This thing couldn't even get ONE kill in my gym battles, I tried to set up against that hariyama, but no, it has smack down. Charlotte's darmanitan has rock slide, and even if I can set up, I can't one shot stuff, which is really bad. Anyways, archeops is great, but it has the worst ability ever made (maybe truant or slow start are worse, but regigigas and slaking can take hits, and archeops can't). Honchkrow and Staraptor are also weak in the defensive side, I can't take hits. I WISH we could breed bulk up on braviary, but as flying is the worst egg group ever for breeders... Main idea: Don't laugh, chatot. Yeah, that's quite strange, but Taka proved that it can do some work, it actually has great spatt (I know that it's defenses are even worse, but >) and access to nasty plot AND sing, so I can set up safely. I can give it a life orb, so it will hit even harder. And I can also try to get some confusion hax with chatter using substitute at the same time. I'm going to try each one of these pokemon. But if I don't want a flying type, nidoking/scolipede over gardevoir is the way to go. You're right, I'll just swap rock slide for bullet seed when we get the megas. Reuninclus is good, malamar is good, but what about metagross? Like... having a steel type is nice.

I already have the heracrossite, after a billion soft resets for that ice cream Rotom is limited in reborn, no will-o-wisp, no pain split, that's quite unfortunate I could try that Scolipede since heracross will really appreciate some speed boosts.

This team is this one here with some improvements: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11697. And it's way better than the one in my current run. Here we go. Greninja Protean Modest Random EVs, suggest a spread Holding Nothing - Ice beam - Surf - Extrasensory - Grass Knot I think that I should breed another one with HP Fire over extrasensory, and gunk shot over grass knot when it's avaliable. Ah, and scald over surf, but this is a little detail, I want your suggestions (Scald or surf, basically burn or power) Chandelure Flame Body Modest Random EVs, suggest Holding nothing - Trick room - Energy Ball - Shadow ball - Flamethrower I want to get rid of trick room, my teammates have decent speed stat, and I think I can tr replace it with something better, pain split or will-o-wisp maybe? I was also thinking of an arcanine, since it's faster, and chandelure isn't doing what I thought it would. Gogoat Sap Sipper Adamant Random EVs, suggest Holding Big root - Horn Leech - Earthquake - Rollout - Bulk Up I don't like this thing, in my entire save file, I was never able to set up, maybe because I have bad EVs... but I accept suggestions for a replacement. Crobat Infiltrator Timid Random EVs, suggest Holding nothing - Air Slash - Confuse Ray - Nasty Plot - Venoshock Replacements please, this thing is bad, it's too glassy, when I try to set up I die in the next turn. Heracross Moxie Jolly Random EVs, suggest Holding nothing - Close Combat - Earthquake - Rock Slide - Megahorn The only team member that is not a shame (Greninja is also decent, but not perfect), it destroyed Luna, Blake, Radomus (Megahorn spam) and destroyed Fern. I just want to know something, we got the heracrossite, do you guys think I should breed it with rock blast and replace megahorn with pin missile? Gardevoir Trace Modest Random EVs, suggest Holding nothing - Psychic - Trick Room - Charge Beam - Moonblast Well, I need to respect this, since it wrecked Samson and Terra, but are there any better pokemon for this spot? Gardevoir is not bad, but... I think it can be better Maybe that's because I have random EVs, but I'm not happy with this team, I just want to keep Greninja and Heracross, but of course I can keep the other ones if you guys have any ideas to make them stronger.
  5. My pokemon aren't IV bred, but I might try that since I'll need to do some changes to them. Holy crap, that's a lot of text. Anyways, thank you for the suggestions, let'see. Since fire moves are not stab on Exploud, there's no point on running a weaker move. Stacking normal gems will be great for doubles, but otherwise I'll just lose it in the first turn and then become useless. This thing has paper thin defenses, I agree, but if i want to switch out I'll need a physical water type, what do you recommend? What's the breeding chain for earthquake, poison jab and rock slide? I wanted something to stall speciall attackers, and hit hard at the same time. I'll try this gourgeist, again, what's the breeding chain? No attack investment? I know, moxie is great, but some 80 EVs in attack instead of defense won't be bad. Coil looks interesting, never noticed this thing has no weaknesses and perfect coverage for every single pokemon that exists, that's insane. Also, then I think I should invest in SpDef EVs, because Coil is already going to boost my physical defense. That's daice idea, but I'm currently thinking of a set with sunny day/solarbeam instead of nastyplot/sludge bomb, what do you think? If I have the bulk to set up a nasty plot, I'll definitely have the bulk to set up a sunny day and wreck. Maybe HP Fighting, ground or fire for steel types. Any suggestions for a new trick roomer?
  6. Hey there, there has been a while since the last time I entered the forums, I needed to study. I decided to start reborn again, and this is what I got, special thanks to Etesian's breeding guide. Exploud Scrappy Modest 252 Sp.Att and HP EVs Holding silk scarf. - Boomburst - Ice beam - Fire blast - Surf Qwilfish Intimidate Jolly 252 Att and Speed EVs Holding black sludge - Poison Jab - Waterfall - Toxic Spikes - Destiny Bond Gligar Immunity Adamant 252 Att and Defense EVs Holding toxic orb in the future when it's a Gliscor - Acrobatics - Earthquake - Swords Dance - Brick Break Trevenant Frisk Careful 252 Att and Sp.Def EVs Holding Big Root - Shadow Claw - Will-O-Wisp - Horn Leech - Substitute Scrafty Moxie Jolly 252 Att EVs, 100 Speed EVs, 152 HP EVs Holding Wide Lens - Dragon Dance - Crunch - High Jump Kick - Ice Punch Elektross Levitate Modest 252 Sp.Att and HP EVs Holding Zap Plate - Flamethrower - Discharge - Grass Knot - Charge Beam Houndoom Flash Fire Timid 252 Sp.Att and Speed EVs Holding Charcoal - Sludge Bomb - Dark Pulse - Flamethrower - Nasty Plot Florges Flower Veil Modest 252 Sp.Att and Defense EVs Holding Nothing - Psychic - Moonblast - Calm mind - Flash (Yeah, it's quite useful, but I need to replace it, I know) I'd love some suggestions.

    Mamoswine

I'd recommend adamant or jolly. -Icicle Crash (STAB and has a flinch chance) -Earthquake (STAB and it's powerful) -Stone Edge/Rock Slide/Ice Shard (A rock move is useful in this case, but what about Ice Shard? In the future it can take care of Solaris' Garchomp, Saphira's Dragonite, Heather's salamence if we fight her someday, and any flygons. It's not the most powerful move ever, but mamoswine has great attack, if it doesn't kill, it's going to put the foe's HP on the red limit. -Curse/Freeze-Dry/Superpower (If it's adamant curse is not a bad idea, freeze dry can take care of water types, but are you sure? Amaria is coming and you are probably not going to outspeed her kingdra, and as mamoswine is not that bulky on the special side..., but that's fine, it's going to be useful if she has any ground/water like swampert or seismitoad, but I prefer superpower over them(only via move tutor). Steps to get freeze-dry 1) Go to the obsidia candy shop and try to buy a vanilla ice cream, vanillite is going to drop down. 2) Evolve it to vanilluxe. 3) Go to the move tutor and teach vanilluxe freeze-dry. 4) Catch a smeargle in the mysdia railcave. 5) Use common candies on vannilluxe (so it won't kill the smeargle). And put a quick claw on it. 6) Find another smeargle. 7) Use freeze-dry and it's going to sketch it. 8) Put your smeargle on the field. 9) It's going to use freeze-dry against your smeargle, sketch it. 10) Now you have a smeargle with freeze-dry.
  8. So... I think Hydro Pump wouldn't be much better, maybe toxic spikes... Amaria is going to give us Scald I presume, maybe that? I know it's a lot weaker than surf, but I just like that burning chance
  9. Delphox: Flamethrower is better than Fire Blast, which has lower accuracy and almost the same power, the flame plate is going to turn it on to a Fire Blast. As you said you need to replace shadow ball, I'll recommend trick room, there is no problem on having two pokemon with trick room on your team. Leavanny: So... This Leavanny set works so well, I used it one time, it's really beautiful how this thing can be surprisingly strong, in the Trick Room this thing will become a monster Heliolisk: I'd run Glare over Thunder Wave, because it can paralyze ground types too. Dragalge: What about surf instead of Hydro Pump? The accuracy... I don't like it, if you change it to surf you can go for mystic water then, sludge wave is already going to be strong with adaptability, toxic is not a bad move, but if you really want to replace it you can breed thunderbolt on it (pre-12). Reuninclus: If you want you can replace grass knot with energy ball by breeding pre-12, but I like grass knot too, if it works for you keep it , recover... hm, eh, we have healing items, but you said that it is working, so keep it until we got hyper potions, then you can replace it with light screen. Clawitzer: Whoa. Perfect, no words. In trick room this thing will be fantastic. Amazing team! With this guys you can wreck everything.
  10. You can catch phanphy in the beryl ward, evolve it and at level 30 it should learn magnitude You also can try to sweep with emolga, put it in level 30, get +6 evasiveness with double team(against the skrelp), then you just need to use the combination nuzzle + electro ball, that's how I did...
  11. As someone has already said, Grass Knot>Dark Pulse, the psychic and the ghost gym are done, you don't need it. I like your Gardevoir, this is one of my favorites movesets for it, I use charge beam/trick room instead of tbolt/calmmind (I was suggested), but this one is really good. For me the new one works, but maybe it's not going to work for you, keep with this. The excadrill is good. I don't like stone edge that much, bad accuracy, rock slide will be more useful in double battles, but that's just my opinion, you can keep it. Nasty Plot will help a lot, you can remove Confuse Ray. Pretty good team, I'm not going to suggest new ones because I'm not that pro in team creating.
  12. When I finish episode 14 I'll start another topic here to show what I got from this team. Thank you guys for the suggestions.
  13. Roserade doesn't need Shadow Ball, the psychic and the ghost gym are done. What's the hidden power? Maybe you can replace Nature Power. Extrasensory won't be bad. Maybe you can go HP(it depends)/Sludge Bomb when it's released (or extrasensory) instead of shadow ball/nature power. The natures would be much appreciative. Energy Ball on ninetales will be good for coverage, but this set is ok (breed pre-13) Recover on medicham? That's not necessary. Maybe you can go for bullet punch, bulk up(in the future), but if it's working for you, keep it. That's an interesting team btw. Good luck!
  14. I didn't notice the Trick Room/Timid thing, I think I'll go Modest. When it's avaliable, I'll put Sludge Bomb in crobat. I'm going to think about the Drapion, it seems good. BTW can you PM me episode 12 for breeding Ice beam, energy ball, rock slide and all the stuff please? That will be perfect.
  15. I think the Mystic Water makes surf better than Hydro Pump, but the expert belt is definitely better, I'm going to search for it. Maybe I should run WoW/Hex and not Confuse Ray/Shadow Ball So... If Etesian said I'm going to catch that murkrow in the alleway for Nasty Plot, I think I'll run Nasty Plot/Air Slash/Sludge Bomb/Confuse Ray Yeah, I really like Gardevoir, before Ame decides to put Thunderbolt I'll go Rain Dance (Worried about Charlotte) So I think I'll go for a Wide Lens. Yep, I like this movesest too, may I go for Rock Polish or Dragon Dance... Hm IDK Heracross FTW, Stone Edge is definitely more powerful, but I'm worried about the accuracy "Gogoat, the Rapidash" sounds terrible. Leech Seed is ok..., I'll see later. If you think I should run with 6, who can I remove? Your team is also amazing, how did you get stone edge and EQ on Heracross?
