  1. That's good to know! I only teleported because it seemed like a clever way to stick it to Fern. I'm happy I played through the options where I let the chatot save me because there were a lot of interactions worth seeing. Apparently I could have also stealthed past the guards? I'm curious how that would have gone. Tbh the jungle was a little much - way more convoluted than I remember so idk if I even experienced all the events in the forest worth looking for.
  2. I'm quite early on, shortly after the second gym and I haven't touched Reborn in years so no glaring spoilers please. I'm in the Rhodocrine jungle and there are two events tmk that wind you up in a cage - either you fall for a nuzleaf pit trap or team meteor grunts catch you and toss you to the nuzleafs. Either way you're in the cage when Fern finds you and asks you to beg him to let you out. Naturally that didn't sit well with me so I decided to teleport out of the cage back to Jasper. I don't think the game accounted for that? I haven't tested it much but I'm not sure. I couldn't get back to where Cain is supposed to be (I freed him in the save file where taka's? chatot pops in to set you free) and when I encountered Fern he didn't mention that it was odd that I was out. I'm curious what you guys think / know about this trick.
  3. Try out krookodile, if you're willing to train a new mon. Krook is a fast enough ground type with moxie. You can make a clean sweep of most of her team, then you can handle the rest of it easily enough. Another option is Simipour. It learns scald by level up, which is a water type attack that gets stronger in charlotte's terrain. Reborn, especially by this point, is hard enough that you have to counter-team every gym leader or boss.
  4. I think the advice you got above is excellent! So far you have a good idea for a story right? Build that idea into a very fleshed out outline by (my suggestion here) iterating through conflicts and characters. What sort of conflicts would break out and need resolution as a consequence of your plot's premise? What sort of characters would need to exist to facilitate the conflict? Then given those characters, what sort of conflicts would naturally arise as they try to accomplish their goals? An example: an evil corporation sucks the planet's lifeforce and commodifies it as energy. The central conflict will be between the corporation's influence and the few who know about it. So we need corp security forces and eco terrorists. If the security force (might as well be a super soldier for fun) character hears what the terrorists have to say maybe he defects? So to maintain the conflict there has to be a more impressive super soldier on the side of the corporation. How did the corporation get super soldiers? As a matter of fact how are they manipulating the planet's energy? How will this affect the remaining super soldier? It won't be long until you find yourself with Final Fantasy 7. Might be a weak example actually I've never played it :[ Once you have your outline you can flesh out bits of the characters that aren't plot essential but add charm like senses of humor or mannerisms. Then you could start writing dialogue too. If you can do that well you have a better chance of recruiting collaborators onto your project. Also don't neglect the setting! Describe the areas in which these conflicts happen in detail and make sure you go wild. Make interesting routes, towns, secret bases because the player explores these settings and should absolutely want to. Trees don't have to be green and the sky doesn't have to be blue. Nothing in the pokemon world should be mundane. If you find yourself with a nice outline I'd be happy to read it and give you feedback if you want. Good luck
  5. Do you think we could get more options included in the Rejuvenation mod pack, like the exp share mod waynolt made? The reborn one has a lot more options and it would be cool to have some or most of those for the rejuvenation experience as well. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
  6. I read that, and then figured Oceania Pier was late game. Shows what I remember ~ Thanks for the response!
  7. Would you guys consider making an own tempo rockruff catchable in the Goldenwood forest so we can potentially get dusk lycanroc early in the game? I expect it's some combination of too late in the dev cycle for v12 and technically impossible, but it would be super cool to play with some new mechanics early. It's been nearly 2 years since I played Rejuvenation. It was probably the most colorful and delightful pokemon experience I've ever had so I'm really excited to jump in and get the all-dog-squad ready to roll!
  8. I notice a frightening lack of set up sweepers! If my memory serves me correctly I swapped a bunch of intimidating mons around on one of her physical attackers, set up with Braixen (work up), then proceeded to cook the rest of her team. You should definitely look to reteach Lycanroc howl btw. Even though howl is a weak set up move Lycanroc savages most of the hard fights in the game. Ribombee with quiver dance and stun spore can also be a potent sweeper!
  9. I would wait - I am in fact waiting. E17 is probably going to give you a lot more options to play with, and at the very least it will let you use gen 7 starters. I think you'll enjoy the latest experience, but it's really up to you.
  10. Huh that's really interesting. I actually like the level scaling a lot, but the level scaling may have the effect of boosting net exp gain. Probably not worth hassling over.
  11. Bless your soul Waynolt! Btw how does the exp share interact with the exp level scaling mechanic?
  12. Guys you're killing me here. The only reason it's broken is the huge exp boost you get when using it. I get it lol. I said as much in my first post. I'm asking if anybody is making or is willing to make a mod of the new exp share mechanics that takes this into account. It's broken in the core series because the battling dude gets full exp X, then all other team mates get half exp. That means the team gets up to a total of 3.5 X for the fight. That's obvious game changing. I began by saying we should lower the total boost from 3.5 to something lower. Perhaps 1, if you divide the exp among all mons equally (this would be the same as activating the old exp share property for all pokemon), or perhaps even less than 1 total boost. That definitely doesn't break the game. I have no idea what should be done about the EV's. How did the old exp share handle that? Please don't dismiss a quality of life change out of hand because the main series didn't do it well.
  13. Fair enough lol. It's kinda sad to hear that Google Translate still sucks this bad.
  14. I totally get that lol. Even the 3 times boost is tempered somewhat by the level cap. If anything the boost is a hindrance early game because you might lose a good mon above the level cap. That's why I suggested that if the mod is made to set the exp boost lower, perhaps to 1 or maybe even .8 of the normal gain.
  15. Wait what? How is that relevant? You can't get $300,000 in the early game but hopefully the exp share mod would be available then. Also you could simply limit the exp gain. And there's also a level cap. I can't imagine what advantage this would give outside of a more pleasant experience.
