Youmu9 Posted December 13, 2018 Share Posted December 13, 2018 No, it's not related to that choice. You get another choice earlier than that when they all betray you and Amber is pinning Melia down. Kenneth will threaten you when the MC tries to help and if you choose to persist then he will challenge you to a battle. If you choose to help her by battling Kenneth, you gain a point with her.
