*UPDATE* IVE FOUND A 3RD SHINY POOCHYENA. WTF *UPDATE 2* Found a shiny purrloin seriously what is up with these odds. - Man shinys must be really common. I just found two damn shiny poochyenas while grinding lmao. Sorry but i killed the second one because i had no pokeballs rip

The shiny rate is considerably higher in Pokémon Reborn so yes they are much more common.

I've heard it's about a 1% chance before taking into account the shiny charm.  Same with Rejuvenation, if you choose to try that game at a later point.

Is there way to lower shiny pokemon chance? I already played 5 hours caught two shiny and one self-destructed before I could throw a ball at it.

The shiny chance is way too high in my opinion compared to gameboy games.

Unless you alter the PBS files yourself, no.   It can be increased slightly by getting the Shiny Charm later in the game.

 

1% sounds like a fair wild encounter rate compared to the mindnumingly low chance from canon games.  Zero canon shinies in all the years of on/off playing since Gold's release day.
