rowboat Posted December 11, 2017 Share Posted December 11, 2017 hello everyone my name is rowan and i don't think i've used a forum since 2009 but i will at least give it a try i started playing reborn earlier this week, and since it is winter break and i have a lot of time on my hands and i Love This Game, i've progressed rather quickly, which led to the realization that i am....... Not At All Prepared for the later episodes. i'm a lifelong pokemon fan, and i have played every single main-series pokemon game as well as bits and pieces of other ones, multiple times, but. i've never been someone who plays online, or spends too much time at the battle facilities, or knows anything about evs or ivs, or anything, and so..... i dont know how to Do Pokemon Good. i thought about giving up and watching a playthough, but dang it, i'm too attached to my team and the plot and the characters and so i will power through to the best of my ability. thus i might need help, thus registering here, aside from that, i'm an nb college student. i'm not into gendered pronouns but other than that i couldn't care less which ones you use. i am a big nerd and an english major and i consume general knowledge at an alarming rate. i like reading, magic the gathering (badly), and many assorted video games, most notably pokemon and overwatch. i'm what the kids these days call "a dirty casual", though. uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Witty Conclusion ? yes anyway i will try to actually post beyond this one. if i don't, know that i made a valiant effort and was defeated by brain goblins immediately thereafter Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I fucking suck at comp and still beat the game multiple times. It's all about encouraging you to get creative, whether that be with the 'mons you like, or by trying out ones you've never used before^^ We believe in you! I'd say that's a good pace, especially for a first-time playthrough! You can take as much time as you want, whatever makes it the most fun to you. It's not a competition, after all! Reborn likes to reward exploration and patience (hidden items, sidequests, time specific events, etc), so it can be a good idea to take your time instead of trying to breeze through every part. Some neat 'mons and items are often locked behind events (in the case of 'mons often way before they are available in the wild), so it makes sense to stop and talk to NPCs and check out locations under different weather conditions, all that stuff.
