Soon enough, the white that surrounded the windows of the bus faded away as the bus began to slow down… Before lightly tapping a broken wall in front of it. Which seemed to be a running trend in the area… The broken part, at least. From what the group could see, they had parked next to a small cliff, which poked out to see a completely ruined city. Buildings lay shattered wherever they looked, and some had large circles in them, as if they were eaten out.

Of course, that wasn’t the only sight, since in the distance, standing inside of what appeared to be a town center, was what appeared to be a showoff between man and beast.

On the beast’s side, there were multiple large creatures, each larger than almost anyone in the party aside from Proditor, which seemed consist of several, two legged creatures with large tails, some… Flying women with large, eyes shells on their backs, and two, humanoid creatures with blue plated wings.

On man’s side was simply two men, one wearing a large, blue, hooded jacket, and the other wearing a tattered brown jacket. In each of their hands were large swords, each bigger than their actual wielders. If one looked closely, they could also see large, red and black bracelets on each of the men’s hands. The man in blue was in a combat position, sword at his side as he scanned the creatures in front of him, waiting for one to strike. The other was more relaxed, with their sword placed on their shoulder as they seemed to enjoy a quick smoke, seemingly not caring about the beasts in front of him, even when several roared, preparing to attack.

Proditor, when the bus stopped, sighed in annoyance, about to comment on the fact that he would have to ask Uber and L33t how their vehicle started up on its own, before noticing the view outside, pausing for a good bit before rising from his seat, opening the bus’s door and floating outside, looking around in… Shock, mostly. Both at the city and at the sight before him, man versus abomination.

Initiative and such will be given once the encounter truly starts. Enjoy.

"Guess something decided we were necessary." Harry muttered. With the imminent battle, it seemed likely that this might be short like their previous mission. Only two samples to judge from, but it would be interesting to note whether arriving directly at a battleground implied a shorter visit.

Being at the back of the bus, Harry had to wait for others to exit first, so he hung back. It occurred to him that in the future, they would need some detection systems on the outside of the bus, to determine whether toxins were present in the local atmosphere. He wouldn't personally be much help with that. . . though perhaps he might be able to help with pointing out unlikely gases that might be present and have an effect. . . but in any case, working to passively protect himself from those problems seemed important.

"Guessing we're meant to help the ones swinging wristbreaking slabs of steel around? Seems likely, but it'd be nice of the multiverse helped us out a bit with that."

As the bus roared to life Frigus jolted up, having fallen asleep while writing notes.  He looked around in confusion as the bus started forward into the flash of light, he stood as soon as the bus came to a stop and immediately walked outside.

He took in the view with a blank stare, like someone who'd seen it a million times and knew every inch.  Then he spotted the figures below, and pointed them out to anyone standing near who hadn't seen them.

"Looks like they could use some help, and if not they'll at least be able to tell us where we are."

Then with a flash of light he summoned his armor and weapon.

"We will attempt to communicate with the monsters. perhaps this can be solved without bloodshed"
Lilly and Ador, still in union, hop out of the bus and spread there crystal wings, and take off, flying in that direction. once in range they attempt to use voice of the heart on the armor-winged fliers.

Sending a burst of concepts, roughly equating to [Why are you fighting?]

"That's going to be no use- oh forget it, what do I care..." Lucille mumbled as she staggered out of the bus after the others. She knew she was already too late as lilly's voice faded and the sound of leathery wing flaps replaced it. She rubbed her eyes, still groggy from the mere twenty or thirty minutes of sleep, at most, she'd managed to get before the damn shaking woke her. Already however, she'd taken stock of their surroundings, smelled the dust and musty rot and ruin that permeated the broken, desolate shapes and rough landscape that bounced back as she clicked her tongue a few times, noted how despite the smell, the air quality itself wasn't actually that bad...

and of course, she'd almost immediately picked up the ferocious roars over yonder. The dragons and the cat had exited the vehicle on her heels, and through all of them, she'd borne witness to the various, huge beasts hounding the two soldiers. In many ways, they reminded her of some of the predators she'd seen back home... yet

yet as she called upon the power of her bloodline, expanded her senses and lightly probed over them, there was something... unlike anything she'd experienced back home. Almost like there was a hivemind in effect? Colonies of some sort? Almost like Algae, or... well the closest she could describe to it animal wise would be ants... extremely organized, coordinated ants. Yet it didn't necessarily feel like the individual beasts themselves were hive minded to each other per say, no, the feeling... it was more internal.

"How...Bizarre..." The girl muttered, as she reached into her satchel and pulled out one of her staves, bringing it to full length "So much for sleep, but.... I'm not complaining, if I get the chance to study one of these things... whatever they are..."

Jun had found herself being rudely awakened moments earlier after the bus's rather sudden shuddering had caused her to fall flat on her face on the cold and hard floor. And she dusted herself off before she groggily walked towards the nearest window to blankly stare at the shattered city they were apparently in.

It took a good long while for her to mind to realize that the trouble brewing in the distance might have something to do with why they were here. But of course it didn't take too long for her to realize that the amount of people who were leaving the bus should probably be enough to deal with whatever the hell that was supposed to be. This is why Jun slowly walked back towards the row she had slept on earlier, and why she slowly lied down on top of it once more. And it would take a few more moments before she decided to expend the extra amount of effort it took to loudly say "Ask Proditor to call me if you need me or something." at Harry's general direction.

Arminius sits up to look out the window. After a moment to get his bearings he lies down in the seat again with a frown.

"Guys, I think they can handle it just fine. They're obviously some flavour of hero... at least lets take a moment to see if they need help. Less likely that they're going to turn on us after helping if they're beat up."

Arminius doesn't bother mentioning that they could be bad guys. It should be obvious with the red and black wristbands and giant weapons.

Nhevi climbs over onto the outside of the buss, and without technically leaving it, grabs random rocks and plants and other literal garbage and puts it in the crafting materials pile.

EDIT results:

Spoiler

(18, 6) (65) (47) You pick up Dirt, a chunk of metal, and Rocks.

The Dirt turns into a Rock, half of it's collision box is missing.

The Rocks are now ammunition for a Luger Pistol. They haven't changed in appearance or size.

The Chunk of metal is now a chunk of Aluminum Brass, made from Wood. An Egg is embedded in the side of it. It isn't fertilized.

Proditor, as everyone began to prepare for the fight, redirected his focus on the creatures in the clearing below him. Whatever they were, they were creatures that no sane person would ever create. This belief was strengthened when he lightly probed one, realizing that it wasn’t just ONE creature… But near millions of individual creatures, each working together to achieve a single goal.

Kill and consume.

With that, Proditor began to float forward, moving off the side of the cliff and following the very small fall as he began to move towards the conflict.

As Lilly flew up to the conflict, voicing her concerns over the creatures that appeared ready to attack, the humanoid bird she was attempting to speak to merely looked up, roaring at her approach. Then, she would get a reply, telepathically, from the voice of hundreds, nay, thousands of creatures, each in complete sync as they spoke only two words to the approaching dragon-girl,

“To feed”

The man in the brown jacket finally decided to finish his smoke, tossing it to the ground, “Well, looks like intel was right, we have a nest here Soma” he stated, calmly stepping on the cigarette butt, looking up at the Aragami in front of him, sword still resting on his shoulder.

In response, Soma merely narrowed his eyes, quickly glancing at the man beside him, “You don’t say, Lindow?” he replied, eyes shifting back to the Aragami. Why they haven’t attacked yet was beyond him… Though he could be asking the same question on why he didn’t attack yet.

Then, suddenly, both of them could hear wing flaps approaching, causing Soma to turn his head lightly to see the flying form of Lilly heading towards them. Lindow himself turned his entire body to see who was coming, raising an eyebrow at Lilly, “What the hell? New Aragami type?” He asked aloud. Not a second afterwards, he noticing the rest of the group heading towards them, “Damn, what are civilians doing here?!” he yelled, nearly taking a step out of surprise at the sight.

That was when one of the Ogretail jumped forward, aiming to catch the God Eater off guard. Soma himself noticed this, turning around, stepping forward to get cover Lindow, who had idiotically left himself open for the Aragami...

Spoiler

… Only to find Lindow stepping to the slide, spinning and letting his sword fly right above the ground, then slashing upwards to cleave through the Aragami’s entire body, leaving the two halves to fall to the ground, “Soma! Keep the Aragami away from the civilians! I’ll take care of the Chi-You” Lindow stated, watching Soma nod in response as he charged the Aragami. With a small sigh, Lindow entered his own battle stance, both hands now on his God Arc as the Chi-You both looked at him, each of their hands moving in a “bring it on” gesture.

This was going to be a long day.

(GEAR) Tinfoil Armor: The user has a suit of armor made from highly extrapolated tinfoil, making it incredibly dense and durable.

Level 1: The user gains 3 RES while this is equipped.

(GEAR) Rapier Gun: This Ornate Rapier has a gun stock welded to it's pommel, and it's point has been sharpened considerably.

Level 1: This weapon may make a basic melee attack for 1d6+Str Damage, but when paired with an enhancing effect, it instead deals 2d6+Syn.

(GEAR) Darksteel Scale Mail: This enchanted set of armor is heavy but well-articulated and relatively non-restrictive.

(Level 1): Wearing it limits you to no more than 2 actions per round, but grants an impressive 15% reduction to all physical damage taken, before other modifiers apply.

Rapid Expansion Railgun: The user rapidly expands a weapon, dealing it's damage at range.  If a weapon only enhances damage, this ability deals 2d6+Syn damage, alongside the bonus.

Extrapolate: The user causes a non-living target to grow and expand.  The larger or more complex it is, the longer this process takes.  Requires 1, 2, or 3 turns to grow an object by one expansion.

Soma takes aim from atop the bus, firing her Rapier Gun at one of the Chi-You.

Almost immediately, the Girl set her attentions on what seemed to be the strongest of the presences, the winged humanoids. Up so close now, the feeling she'd gotten earlier had only grown clearer, and she beyond any shadow of a doubt, these things were indeed like perverse colonies of ants; countless of small and insignificant individuals working in tandem to form a much greater whole. But just as with a colony of Ants, she could sense somewhere within it, a nexus, a control center, that dictated the efforts of the group through oh so subtle signals.

And it was that nexus she felt which she reached out to with pieces of her conscious mind, probing and scouring for footholds to take root in, that she might take advantage of the creature's lack of Sapience and install some of her own...

Moves

I. Lucille Binds one of the Chi-Yous, Using it to fill in her empty loadout slot!

(Against Non-Sapient Beasts/Monsters, expends a number of Lucille's Bonds equal to 1/2 the target's Int in order to turn them into companions under her control; Binding fails if Lucille doesn't have enough Bonds available to meet the requirement. 7/14 bonds remaining)

II. Lucille will cast Edge of Silence on one of the Fallen Zygotes!

(Launches 2 attacks dealing [1d3+Int{13}]*1.3x Damage Each, Ignoring Damage Reductions such as from Res or Armor, but not Immunities)

III. Lucille will Attack one of the Ogre Tails with her Serpent Staff!

(Fires 4 bolts of green energy that deal 1d4 necrotic damage each, and restore that much HP to the user)

Loadout/Stats

Spoiler

Lucille

28/28 HP

7/14 Bonds

Essence: 7
Constitution: 4
Dexterity: 7
Intelligence: 13
Resistance: 8
Strength: 0
Synergy: 0

Relevant Perks

The 3rd Instance: [When Lucille casts a thaumaturgical Spell/Ritual, the numerical effects of said spell/ritual are boosted by 1.3x]

Beast Heart: [Lucille has a number of "Bonds" equal to her Essence*2. These "Bonds" can be expended to bind living, non-sapient beasts/monsters and turn them into companions under her control. Binding beasts requires Lucille to spend her action forming a Bond with them, at which point a number of bonds equal to ½ the Beast's Int will be expended, with a minimum requirement of 1. If Lucille doesn't have enough open Bonds available to satisfy this cost, the binding fails. The bonds expended on them will be restored to Lucille upon either the Creature being reduced to zero hp in battle and dying, or by her dismissing them, which may be done at any time as a free action. Bound Beasts who are dismissed will never turn hostile towards Lucille or her companions unless attacked after the fact. Bound Beasts have Stats and Actions identical to their normal counterparts, and act simultaneously with Lucille during her turns.]

Slots: 6/7

Actives (1)

Edge of Silence- Lucille utters an incantation, causing a harmonic resonance in Animus and producing a Wonder within the Physical Realm: Sound itself condenses and twists into a winding blade that seeks out and slices whatever has earned Lucille's Ire.

~Current Effects~ [Active. Thaumaturgical Spell. Launches 2 attacks that deal (1d3+Int) sonic damage each, these attacks ignore Damage Reductions, but Damage Immunities still apply. They may both be aimed either at the same, or different targets.] (boosted by Grand Thaumist Perk)

Passives (2)

Uncanny Senses- Lucille has spent her entire life missing her sight, but her taste, smell, touch, hearing, and other senses have all been amplified in order to compensate. Though she cannot see, she actually has a far greater situational awareness than most sighted people, and is more than capable of functioning effectively in dangerous situations...

[Passive Ability. The user gains +1 move in combat, making it so they always have a minimum of 2 moves rather than 1. This ability is not eligible for any upgrade.]

Walking Bestiary- Lucille has extensive knowledge of many beasts, from their habits, habitats, and physical traits. In battle she draws on her extensive knowledge to use her bound beasts to far greater effect, having them work together to cover each other's weaknesses and amplify their strengths.

[Passive Ability. Beasts who are bound to Lucille gain a 20% boost when dealing damage.]

Trumps

Tricks

Equipment (3)

Serpent Staff: It resembles a short, snakeskin-bound staff with a large reptilian eye set into the headpiece. The eye blinks every so often.

~Current Effects~ [Bound. Fires 4 bolts of green energy that deal 1d4 necrotic damage each, and restore that much HP to the user. If the user attempts to use this weapon while at 0 Int they are knocked unconscious and cannot act until their Int is equal to or above their starting total.]

Draco Vest: A small but incredibly durable vest. At a glance it appears to be ordinary fabric, but upon further examination it's actually made up of countless overlapped wyvern scales, which harden upon impact to protect the user from harm. It has several pockets which have some stretch to them, and are durable enough to hold even magma.
~Current Effect~ [Bound. Grants +6 Res while equipped. Able to carry extremely dangerous materials without risk.]

Healing Kazoo: A Metal Kazoo painted a bright metallic color. The special root in it's paper vibrates with a healing tone.

~Current Effects~ [Bound. When used, restores (6d5)% of the target's Max HP.]

Frigus:

HP: 24/24
Ess:4, Con:3, Dex:6, Int:7, Res:3, Str:0, Syn:0.

Cooldowns:

None!

Effects:
If an attack would reduce Frigus's HP to 0 or lower, it instead reduces it to 1 unless Frigus was at 1 HP when the attack landed or the attack would reduce Frigus to a negative HP that’s absolute value is greater than his MHP.

Every 8 Actions taken by any combination of targets from any side, Frigus gains +2 Dex for the rest of the battle, up to a maximum of +12.

Each attack reduces Init of struck enemies by 1.

Stun immunity only kicks in after the second consecutive turn.

Frigus held his Keyblade, FrostFell, at his side as he charged towards the battle.

"Die!"

He leaped into the air and struck one of the flying creatures three times, then with his fourth strike he sent it crashing into one of the two larger walking creatures.

Frigus makes a Keyblade Attack against one of the Fallen Zygotes, this triggers Combo+ and Air Combo+ to add two additional Keyblade Attacks against the same target.  This deals 2d6+[Dex] cold damage three times.

Frigus then attacks a Fallen Zygote(the same one as before if it isn't dead) with Heave Edge dealing 4d6 damage and stunning it(because it's a flying creature) then also dealing 4d6 damage to one of the Chi-You.

Loadout(7 total slots)

Spoiler

Equipment:

Name: Keyblade

Damage: 0d6+[Dex]

Type: Active

Special Qualities:

-Bound: Keyblades are very particular about their wielders.  Anyone who tries to wield/pick up/steal a keyblade who hasn't been properly initiated/isn't deemed worthy will find that the keyblade disintegrates in their hand.  A keyblade may be summoned into or out of existence by its owner much like one would sheathe or unsheathe a sword.

-Growing Power: May spend Merit to increase the size of the dices by one tier(d6>d8>d10>d12>d14 etc), and to add threshold bonuses.

-Keychains: The form and power of a keyblade is drawn out by the keychain you attach to the base blade.  Attaching a bauble(“keychain”) to this weapon grants it bonus damage/powers based on that bauble.  No more than one keychain may be attached at any point in time, though they may be changed out for one another.  The keychain does not take an action slot.

-Lockbreaker I: You may use your Keyblade to open mundane locks with relative ease, the GM may prompt an Int check for more difficult locks.

Name: FrostFell

Description: A keychain to be attached to the keyblade to draw out a new form and power.  FrostFell was made with a bitter cold magic, and so the keyblade will take on the form of pale blue, semitransparent ice crystals cobbled together to make up the shaft, handle, and head.  The entire blade is rough and natural looking, save the grip and cutting edge that have been ground smooth.  The charm itself appears to be a shard of ice wrapped in silver wire.

Type: Socketed

Special Qualities:

-Keychain: Attached to “Keyblade”

-Icy Bolster: Increase damage by two dice, damage becomes cold.

-Cold Blooded: Reduce Init of struck enemies by 1.

Actions:

-Actives

Cure: Restorative energy that mends bones and seals wounds.

Restore 1d4+[Int] HP of one target.

-Level 2(trick): +1 target.

Blizzard(Blast): Send out a cone of ice magic that freezes those affected.

Deal [Key dmg]+[Int](in place of Dex) cold damage to three targets, reduce their Init by [Int]/3, cooldown=2.

-Level 2: +1 target.

Heave Edge(Trick): The user attacks with an aerial slam, breaking wings and engines alike.

Deal 4d6+Str damage to a target. If the target is flying, they are stunned, and a ground enemy takes damage as well from this. The user must spend all their remaining moves this turn to perform this attack, 4 Turn Cooldown.

-Passives

Combo+(Trick): Once per round when you make a basic Keyblade attack against a target you may follow up with an additional basic Keyblade attack against the same target as a free action.

Air Combo+(Trick): Once per round when you make a basic Keyblade attack against a target you may follow up with an additional basic Keyblade attack against the same target as a free action, so long as you are in the air.

Freezing Aura: Release waves for freezing magic that seems to slow even time itself.

Every 8 Actions taken by any combination of targets from any side, Frigus gains +2 Dex for the rest of the battle, up to a maximum of +12.

"We're not civilians." Harry stated as he arrived at the outskirts of the battle, unpacking his medkit.

Harry does nothing. I packed a bunch of heals, and the ones I'd actually use are first strike now, so there's no point in really using them on the first turn.

Spoiler

HP: (Con*2)+20=42+6=48
Moves: Equal to your Dex, minus the average Dex of this Encounter.  Minimum 2.

Essence: 1

Constitution: 11

Dexterity: 1

Intelligence:  8 (x1.25)->10 (+3 on wounded)

Resistance:  3 (+9)

Strength:  3

Synergy: 1

Perks:

Prodigy: Harry's INT is treated as boosted by 25%.

Advanced Biotechnology: Harry regains 10% MHP per turn.

Applied Knowledge: When Harry tends to someone else's wounds, he regains half the HP he healed for them.

Flaw:

Combat Surgeon's a dangerous job: For one round after Harry heals an ally, he will be hit by a copy of the first attack made against the ally that he healed. If he used a multiheal, he simply takes a copy of the first three attacks made against the subjects of the multiheal.

Slots (6/6):

Slap on Bandaid and call it good enough: Heals one target by 1d4+INT

Level 2: This heal now has first strike.

Disinfect: Remove all statuses from a chosen target. 2 turn cooldown.

Speedy Prognosis: Harry gets one extra turn per combat round, only allowed to be used for healing actions (no attacking actions, maybe no buffing). Nonupgradeable, and cannot be duplicated.

Bone Reinforcement: Harry has +3 MHP, this passive doesn't take up a slot.

Level 2: Now +6.

Jump Start: If an ally has been brought to 0 HP within the last two rounds, Harry, using a combination of a large adrenaline injection, a small electric defibrillator, and a bunch of cellular regeneration compounds, may bring that ally back to life at half health. Once per world cooldown, and won't work if the ally has been completely incinerated or something similar.

Wolftech Kevlar Polymer Synthesis Heavy Ballistic Infantry Combat Armor: Grants +5 RES, but at a -2 STR penalty.

Level 2 (merit): This armor no longer has a penalty.

Level 3 (Trick): This armor now grants 2 less RES, but grants two Slots which can only be used for specially designed items (Plates, primarily)

  • 1xDeath Wyvern Plate (+3 RES)
  • 1xDeath Wyvern Plate (+3 RES)

D'Arnet's Modern Military Medical Procedures Digital+Field Kit: Whenever Harry is faced with a problem he is having difficulty with, he consults this eleven thousand page book on his compad, where there are clear and concise instructions for unusual situations, with even speculative ideas about Xenobiology. It even contains an advanced human being analogue program, used for field tutorials and for estimating the effects of chemicals on human physiology. Harry may be brilliant, but even he needs a compilation of all the knowledge he can get, and tools. Grants +3 to INT when treating wounded.

Once again, Satomi surveyed the situation and took it in, applying her intelligence (which had been sharpened for tactics by the training of the Kaiu, though Satomi always focused more on the engineering). Admittedly, she couldn't see much in the way of detail about the individual oni thanks to her shamefully defective eyesight, but she could tell a couple of things. First off: there were two flying oni which seemed to be gathering a lot of attention; Satomi presumed that they were important enemies thanks to that and their lesser number. Secondly, there were smaller creatures that appeared to like to get up close. And then there was a third type she couldn't make much out about at all, which she didn't much like.

Oh well, it was the start of the fight anyway, she had to expect that she wouldn't know everything. Satomi decided that she would attack one of the flying oni; things that flew didn't usually appreciate getting peppered with projectiles, and it felt like a waste to empty the clip of her good crossbow onto something that there was several of. Slightly adjusting the still-mostly-full clip of the crossbow so that it was in fact able to fire (she hadn't wanted to fully unload earlier), Satomi raised her the weapon she'd made with Armsmaster's assistance, and started rapidly squeezing off the trigger, emptying the clip at it.

Satomi uses the strong attack of the Perfection Crossbow on the Chi-You Lucille isn't binding, dealing 6d6+DEX damage (unless she misses)!

Spoiler

Relevant Flaw: Bad EyesightFrankly, Satomi's sight is just terrible, as the girl is extremely nearsighted, a decided hindrance in battle, and didn't come from a world with significant ability to deal with this. Satomi has a 20% chance to miss any attack.

Perfection CrossbowA mechanical, spring-powered repeating crossbow that is capable of renocking itself after every shot without having to pull a lever -- at the expense of being ridiculously hard to initially load. It is also incredibly lightweight, but that makes it fragile and exacerbates the reloading issues. This item does not take up a slot, skills which target gear for destruction automatically succeed against this item.

Level 1: Deal 2d6+Dex Damage. The user may instead deal 6d6+Dex Damage, but must spend 3 turns reloading afterwards.

DaishoA set of two swords (a katana and a shorter wakizashi) carried by absolutely any Samurai at all times, the Daisho is a mark of the Samurai's noble class and honor. 2d6+STR damage, when upgrading the weapon Satomi can choose a different effect for each sword (Katana and Wakizashi) for each level, but must choose only one of these swords to wield in combat at the beginning of each encounter.

Time Sandwich Samurai Armor (Level 2): These rectangular plates of samurai armor (on Satomi's thighs, shoulders, and chest) have been modified, with usage of the metal resulting from the bay explosion making the armor extremely difficult to pierce without sustained effort -- damage only sticks on one of the phases of the timeshifting metal.

Level 1: +3 RES when equipped.

Level 2: +4 further RES when equipped.

Gempukku (Level 5): For Satomi's ritual of graduation into becoming a true Samurai (her Gempukku), as a Kaiu she had to create a siege weapon used on the Great Kaiu Wall. This has rather informed her skillset. Satomi gets a 50% bonus to checks when creating a defensive fortification or a siege weapon.

Level 2-5: Upgraded in 10% increments, to 50% total

Structural Disassembly (Trick): (INT+CON)d2 damage done to an inanimate structure. Can not be used in a hostile situation. Has a chance of either providing useful scrap or damaging the user for 1d2 damage or more, whose element depends on the target.

Destructive InspirationSatomi is suddenly struck with a burst of inspiration as to how to use a siege or base weapon to devastating effect. For the rest of the encounter, when Satomi uses thtis weapon she has a 33% chance of getting a critical hit with it, a critical hit which deals 3x the damage rather than simply 2x the damage, and has an additional effect at the GM's discretion. Can only be used once per World.

Well then, that made some sense. But they would still rather have everyone walk away from this alive. So they respond with another conceptual burst. Throwing in some images of humans out smarting and outfighting larger more powerful beast to empathize there point.

[Why don't you go eat something else? Humans are better hunters then they look. Your survival chance increases by consuming things that wont cause humans to attack you]

Spoiler

(perk backed) Familiar union: Lilly and Ador fuse pooling their stats, HP, and actions. Along with altering or replacing some of their actions. Or if they are already fused, they split. It takes a turn to preform either action and this move may not be used in quick succession, requiring 4 turns of cooldown. When splitting, hp is divided between them as equally as possible.   [exhaustion 2]

(perk backed) Voice of heart: lilly attempts communicates with a target entity, and get it to do something, such as flee, turn sides, or make a deal. This works on humans, animals, and monsters alike. Though animals and animalistic creatures are easier to manage, due to their simper desires. The success of this action is based on GM discrission and is usually resolved through roleplay. This action may take multiple turns and Lilly may be subject to penalties while using it. The user's Essence Stat is used to help determine this skill's effectiveness. Once per battle.

voice level 2: When initiating voice of the heart on an attacking, or trouble causing animal or monster, Lilly gives the beast pause, as she bids them to stop.

Voice level 3: when using voice of the heart, Lilly can sense any attempt at deceit, barring certain rare individuals and circumstances. but by the same token she herself cannot believably lie or deceive while using voice.

(wave charge) Wave dive bomb: The user flies high into the air, becoming untargetable, and cannot act for the remainder of the round. Next round, they come crashing down dealing Strx2 damage and stunning there target [exhaustion 3]

(mend) (level 2) Mending breath:  the user heals three targets for SYN healing. [exhaustion 2]

(Trick) Lightball: The user fires a ball of magic, which explodes into light and force. (Level 1) Deal 1d6+Syn Damage [Exhaustion 1]

(Glitter stream) Glitter surge: Lilly and Ador, breath out a large stream of light and fragile crystal shards, which swirl into a cloud around a target, dealing SYN damage and inflicting blind on one target for three turns.. blinded foes have a GM determined chance to attack the wrong target, and a 25% chance to miss. [exhaustion 3]

Crystal tipped spear: a smooth wooden spear tipped with a shed shimmering crystal. It does not take up an action slot, and deals SYN damage when used. The use of this weapon does not cause exhaustion.

"You seem like you know what you're doing. This might be a little uncomfortable. . ."

Donate three turns to Lidow.

Loadout

Recall: Sets Kusuke's status back to what it was at the start of last turn. Only usable once per turn.

-Level 2: Can target people and objects other than Kusuke.

Skip: Kusuke uses his powers to knock the target a few moments forward or temporarily into an alternate timeline, removing them from combat for one round. Powerful targets may be resistant (ending the effect partway through a round) or immune.

Refresh: Send a person a short distance forward in time. This reduces all of their cooldowns by one turn.

Doubleshift Another: Use a bit of time travel to allow a person to be in two places at once, granting them an additional action this turn.

(Trick) Blink: The user spends one turn to nullify a wide range of physical status effects such as bind and slow by teleporting out of them or using it to enhance mobility. Out of Encounters, this technique allows for a teleport of up to Int+Syn Feet.

Trump

(Trick) Tempofrag: Deal 2d20+Syn damage split up among as many targets as the user wishes, which must include themselves.   Once Per Encounter Cooldown.

-Merit Level: Decreases the damage Kusuke takes from this by 50%.

Spoiler

As the Aragami in front of them collapsed, the two Chi-You began their assault, one crouching towards the ground, as if preparing for an attack, while the other slashed forward at Lindow (8), only to swipe the air as Lindow merely sidestepped the attack once again.

As a counter attack, Lindow simply slashed at the Chi-You. However, the Chi-You managed to move its wings from the God Eater’s slash, leading to Lindow to strike at it’s heavily armored legs, his strike barely even scratching the Aragami.

Soma, on the other hand, stepped back, placing his God Arc on his shoulder as dark energy began to swirl around the blade.

Lucille, as she began to search for foot holds in the Aragami’s mind, finds it suddenly sharpening, as if aware of her presence, beginning to resist her attempts. The Chi-You itself looks up, almost smugly at Lucille, which could only really be displayed to the girl by the singular, powerful emotions of pure hunger.

Kusuke speeds up Lindow, allowing multiple of him to do their work against the Aragami.

Frigus initiates his air combo, dealing 72 damage to the Zygote, causing it to stagger in the air, nearly falling to the floor, before angrily roaring at the Keyblade wielder.

At that moment, the Ogretail begin their assault, two of them charging the open God Eater, forcing Soma to dodge each of their attacks, barely, as he held his charging pose, still taking 37 damage. The other three will charge past him, going for the more ‘weaker’ prey, lifting their tails and firing several spikes at Lilly, Kusuke, and Harry, dealing 14 damage to Lilly, 13 damage to Kusuke, and 7 damage to Harry.

(60) Satomi herself fires at the Chi-You that had missed Lindow, and in a stunning display of marksmanship, deals… 14 damage as the arrows barely seep into the cracks of the Aragami’s wings.

It wasn’t hard for Soma to notice that these other people were trying to help… Which was completely idiotic. They didn’t even have God Arcs, how the hell were they expecting to kill an Aragami? They were just going to get in the way. Instead of vocalizing this, however, Soma merely swung his blade down it became enveloped in black energy, catching one of the Ogretail with his blade, dealing 63 damage and cleaving it in half.

The Zygotes themselves were kind of angry at Frigus for nearly felling one of their own, and as such, one came to assist its brethren as the other flew after one of the God Eaters, specifically, Soma. The two Zygotes fighting Frigus puffed up their shells, then spat pure fire at Frigus, dealing 21 damage to Frigus in total, while the other one fires at Soma (21), barely catching the God Eater off guard and dealing 9 damage to him.

While the Zygote had done well surviving most of Frigus’s combo, it did not expect the final strike, which was a heavy blow to its head, sending the Zygote falling to the ground, slamming down on top of the Chi-You that had been fighting Lindow, taking 16 damage while giving the Chi-You 9 damage. The Zygote itself falls to the floor, now struggling to get up.

(1, 8) When Lilly tried to persuade the Chi-You to stop fighting and eat things that would increase her survival, she felt a sudden burst of anger from the Aragami, “No. We feed. You are food. Everything is food. We have eaten humans before. These will be no different” it stated, continuing its assault.

The Chi-You that had been charging up its attack finally acted, forming a large ball of pure orange energy between its hands, before firing it out at both Satomi and Lucille (95)… Only to whiff, completely, managing to instead hit the cliff side in front of them, causing a rather large explosion. The other Chi-You spun around, sending a blazing kick at Lindow (19)… Only for him to duck underneath the kick, almost casually.

Somatotrope herself began her extrapolation, her sword flying out at the Aragami, flying directly at the chest of the Chi-You… Only for her to find that, in a surprising twist, the sword’s blade merely shattered on contact with the Aragami’s body.

Lucille uses her Edge of Silence, hitting the Zygote and, once more, causing it to nearly fall the ground after dealing 54 damage, only for it to fly back up with an outraged roar.

Harry is a medic and prepares to heal everyone.

Lindow, when Kusuke began to do his magic, turned to him angrily, “What the hell, why are you still-” he began, only to pause when Kusuke’s Drive took effect. For Lindow, he could actually… Well, SEE himself… At least, that’s what it looked like. With one look at Kusuke, giving him a shrug that said “Alright, I’ll figure this out later”, Lindow charged the Chi-You, rapidly slashing at the Aragami and dealing a total of 130 damage to the Aragami, bringing the Chi-You to the ground, quickly dying from Lindow’s assault.

Lucille fires her little bolts of necrotic energy, dealing 6 damage to one of the Ogretail, and would've healed if she had taken damage. Needless to say, the attack didn’t really bother the Ogretail much.

Proditor himself lifted his hand, aiming at one of the Zygotes that were struggling to stay in the air, firing a bolt of psionic energy, dealing 22 damage and causing the Zygote to fall to the floor in agony, still alive, but unable to fly… For now.

Proditor Loadout

Spoiler

7/7

Actions

Psionic Control: Ethereals can take over the minds of weaker opponents, using them for their own use. Targets one enemy and forces a check that uses Proditor’s Intelligence vs the target’s Essence. If Proditor wins, the enemy falls under his control for 4 turns, but has to sacrifice his actions to control the target. If he fails, nothing happens. 6 turn cooldown.

Psionic Control Level 2: Mind Controlled unit now acts separately to Proditor.

Psionic Control Level 3: Duration increased to 5 turns.

Psi Lance: A bolt of pure psionic energy that Proditor fires from his mind at a single target, dealing 2d6+Syn damage.

Psi Lance Level 2: Damage increased to 3d6+SYN

Psi Lance Level 3: Damage increased to 3d6+SYN*1.25

Mind Fray: Proditor infects the mind of an opponent, forcing a check against Proditor’s Intelligence vs the target’s Essence. If Proditor wins, the enemy takes [INT]/2 points of damage, and their Essence lowers by 1 point for every 4 Intelligence Proditor has.

Passive

Growing Knowledge: Proditor has learned a great many things from previous wars, making him a quick learner on the battlefield. Every 8 Actions taken by any combination of targets from any side, Proditor gains +2 Intelligence for the rest of the battle, up to a maximum of +12.

(Trick)Psychic Barrier: The user triggers a RES check against incoming projectiles, until the user takes damage

Trumps

Rift: Proditor unleashes his full Psionic might, creating a large rift in the air that promptly explodes. Up to four enemies can be targeted by this ability, and when they do, they must make a check against Proditors INT*1.5 vs their Essence. If they do not succeed, They gain a 50% miss chance for 1 turn due to nausea. Enemies targeted by this take 3d8+INT damage each, Bypassing many physical defences. Once per encounter.

Ethereal Body: Ethereals, while their biology is very different from regular humans, have the ability to 'transcend' their physical form, becoming practically spiritual. For 1 turn after this trump is used, Proditor becomes completely untargetable. Once per plot.

Level 2: Duration increased to 2 turns

Frigus gains +4 Dex from his passive.

Proditor gains +4 Int from his passive.

Harry Regens for 5 HP.

As the first Chi-You goes down, Lindow pauses, bringing a hand to his ear. Kusuke, due to being near him, could likely hear the urgent speaking of someone on the other end of a communication device, though it was too muffled for him to hear. It seemed pretty bad, as Lindow sighed, “Great… Just what we need now” he muttered, before putting his hand down and yelling out to Soma, “Hey, we’ve got more Aragami coming this way. Must’ve heard the fun. Keep the Aragami here, I’ll be right back” he stated, before turning to Kusuke, “Make sure he doesn’t get himself killed” he said, and instead of waiting for Kusuke’s reply, he began to run towards where the bus was, placing his God Arc on his shoulder as he did so.

Lucille, at around the same time, could probably begin to hear the faint but rapidly approaching steps of something large coming her way, and fast.

Spoiler

(GEAR) Tinfoil Armor: The user has a suit of armor made from highly extrapolated tinfoil, making it incredibly dense and durable.

Level 1: The user gains 3 RES while this is equipped.

(GEAR) Broken Rapier Gun: This Ornate Rapier has a gun stock welded to it's pommel, and it's point has been sharpened considerably.  It's been shattered into pieces.

Level 1: XXX

"Satomi, These things are too tough for me to damage, I just busted my damn sword on one, I'm going to try to build a wall by growing something, I need you to guide me here, you know walls better than I do!"

Soma shouts, using Extrapolate on whatever Satomi wants her to.

"It...It actually..." Lucille was rendered speechless for a few moments, as the beast had expertly countered the attempt she made. She could practically feel it's smugness, hidden beneath the torrent of raw, unbridled hunger that seemed to be the key driving instinct in it. "I almost don't believe it... these things, some of them could probably hold rational discussions on any sort of abstract subject, if they had the appropriate awareness to go along with the raw information processing ability."

What the hell are they, She pondered surely the animals here didn't just evolve to be like this... if they have, why are the humans still alive, these things aren't that far off from potentially acheiving sapience themselves, and well...

She recalled the images of the ruined city around them that even now, she could see through the eyes of her pets... who had taken it upon themselves to stay in the bus and watch from the windows, like good, sensible little beasts who could sense when they were much too far out of their league to survive.

Know what, maybe the humans here are actually on the way out, and just haven't been fully evicted yet.

It was just then however, when she began to hear footsteps in the distance. Monstrous steps, steps that even as faint as they were now, still sent small vibrations through the ground and coursing up lucille's body, along with a slight shiver running down her spine... at just what the hell in this world could be big enough to create such footfalls.

"Somethings coming this way!" Lucille shouted, loud enough for each and every last person in the area to hear it "Something BIG! I'll set up a circle, fall back to it if you're too injured to fight!"

Moves

I. Lucille casts Edge of Silence, splitting the 2 hits to target 2 separate Ogre Tails!
(Launches 2 attacks that deal [1d3+Int{13}]*1.3x Damage Each, Ignoring Damage Reductions such as from Res or Armor, but not Immunities)

II. Lucille fills the empty slot in her loadout with the Trump "Sanctuary"

(Self explanatory...)

III. Lucille Casts Sanctuary! Allies may come and go as they please, Enemies are forbidden from entering! Lucille will not stand inside the circle's boundary upon creation!

(produces a protected space of shimmering light. Any entity standing within the boundaries of this area will have any hostile actions made against them nullified, but will also be unable to use any hostile actions themselves. This Circle lasts for [Int(13)/2](*1.3)--> 9 Turns, and requires an action in order to Enter or Leave it.)

7/14 Bonds

Slots: 7/7

Trumps (1)

Sanctuary (Trump)- Lucille, through muscle memory and automatic writing, draws a runic circle on the ground, before triggering it's activation and causing a resonance in Animus, producing a Wonder within the Physical Realm: anyone standing within the boundaries of the circle is sheltered from hostility, but cannot make quarrels either while they remain inside.

[Thaumaturgical Ritual. Creates a Runic Diagram that produces a protected space of shimmering light. Any entity standing within the boundaries of this area will have any hostile actions made against them nullified, but will also be unable to use any hostile actions themselves. This Circle lasts for Int/2 Turns, and requires an action in order to Enter or Leave it. Lucille may specify upon it's creation  whether she will be inside or outside of the boundary, as well as who she will allow to enter and leave the boundary; by default All allies are able to come and go as they wish unless explicitly deemed otherwise. Once per Encounter Cooldown.] (boosted by The 3rd Instance Perk)

Spoiler

HP: (Con*2)+20=42+6=48
Moves: Equal to your Dex, minus the average Dex of this Encounter.  Minimum 2.

Essence: 1

Constitution: 11

Dexterity: 1

Intelligence:  8 (x1.25)->10 (+3 on wounded)

It seemed that Harry didn't have to wait long for his job. As soon as he saw the blows begin to fall, he rushed out, aiming for those who'd taken the most beating.

Harry uses Slap on a bandaid and call it good enough on Frigus and Kusuke. Heals for 1d4+13 HP, first strike. Heals Harry for half the damage healed.

Union sighs, wincing from the spikes. The creature had already been slain too. Stupid creature, never underestimate your prey.

They were really getting tired of all the single minded and unreasonable monsters. Lilly may have been a natural with Voice, but...Not everything was willing to listen.

"Maybe we should just stick to Forest creatures....." They say glumly...

Then they heard luci cry out.
"Duly noted! We'll surprise it!"

Union flys high into the air, really high, ready to strike.

Union activates Wave dive bomb. this renders union untargetable this round. next round, they will strike the Unknown large enemy

Frigus:

HP: 5/26
Ess:4, Con:3, Dex:10(6+4), Int:7, Res:3, Str:0, Syn:0.

Cooldowns:

Heave Edge: 4 turns.

Frigus's initial attack had been responded to with a torrent of fire which he mostly failed to avoid.  luckily for him Harry was right there with medical supplies to get him back in the fight.  After thanking the doctor Frigus got back to work, he lept into the air again, striking the last flying creature twice before hitting all three flying/once flying creatures with a massive cone of ice. He then continued attacking either the downed creatures or those with spiked tails.

Frigus uses a Keyblade Attack on the last still flying "Fallen Zygote", this triggers Air Combo+ to deal 2d6+[Dex] cold damage twice.

He then uses Blizzard(blast) targeting all three "Fallen Zygotes"and one "Ogre-Tail"(add another "Ogre-Tails" for each dead "Fallen Zygote"), this deals 2d6+[Int] cold damage to each target and reduces their Init by 2.

Finally Frigus uses a Keyblade Attack on one of the remaining "Fallen Zygotes"(or an "Ogre-Tail" should they all be dead), this triggers Combo+ and deals 2d6+[Dex] cold damage twice to his target.

Mirri comes out of the bus, starts, and immediately calls R2P14.  "Hostile heavies!  Get my bird in the air!  We're going hunting."  She hops into her X-Wing, and it lifts off before streaking toward the enemy.  Hm.  Might as well ham it up a bit for Uber and L33t.  "All systems green," She states into her comms, "Locking S-foils in attack position.  I'm starting my run."

Spoiler

Mirri brings Blaster Volley (1d3 + synergy damage 4 times), Quantum Wings (+2 dex whenever she starts a turn, max +16), Sapping Strikes (forced, 50% chance to gain 2 rage from damaging actions instead of 1), Proton Torpedo (6 shots per plot, intelligence x5 damage and does not miss), Perfection Aeronautics (10+4 x major plots completed bonus to all stats for 1 round once per world, Quickswapping (instantly change out 1 action for another for free.  3 round cooldown).

"Thanks, Harry." He wasn't exactly going to be catty with the man currently patching him up. He quickly assessed the field; looked like this "Soma" (that was an odd coincidence) could use some help, too. "I'll get that one."

Recall Soma.

"I just popped your body backward in time a little, don't freak out. This is going to be slightly more uncomfortable though so uh, have fun."

Doubleshift Soma twice.
