Rotational team

Recommended Posts

So my current team after finishing E16 is:
Blaziken, 80

Lapras, 80

Tyranitar, 80

Metagross, 80

Honchkrow, 80

Aurorus, 80

They are all basically with max IVs. What other pokes should i train considering type fillers? My team is well rounded, but i lack for instances a good grass or electric type. Any suggestions would be helpfull, ty :)

For electric, Rotom-Wash is a good pokemon as a pivot while Magnezone is a good pokemon due to its Dual Stab, above average defense, and several resistances. Electivire is also a good physical pokemon which has a lot of good coverage and Helioptile works as a special attacker although both of them are kinda on the frail side.

For grass, I can recommend Chesnaught as it's a good pokemon which can work both offensively and defensively. If you'd want to have both grass and electric coverage, you can go for Rotom-Mow as it has Leaf Storm, Volt Switch, and Discharge which can help your team a lot.

Aurorus and Honchcrow have a type you already have on your team, arorua is a completely dupes type wise even. you could replace them with another flying type and potentially a fairy type in case of fighting types

How about Lilligant? It learns Quiver Dance and Petal Dance, and Own Tempo really complements Petal Dance by negating confusion. Lilligant has lackluster movepool, however.

Both Magnezone and Rotom are pretty commonly used. Like mentioned, both are great but if you prefer to change it up a little, pick Eelektross. It can learn a variety of moves, and thanks to Levitate it has no weaknesses. Eelektross is slow, so unless you get lucky with Quick Claw or most of the time you end up getting hit first.

Feel free to respond with any questions pertaining to the Pokemon referenced. Also, your team lacks diversity in the way that there is quite a bit of Type Overlap within it.

EDIT: For reference, this is my Team:

Would definitely recommend something that can take on fighting types. Maybe a Gardevoir or really any flying/psychic/fairy type seeing as half your team is weak to fighting and none of them resist it.

Well i'm currently training a grandbull and a magnezone, yet i'm still on that Whimsicott for the grass fairy since grass type is the one that's really missing on my team.

- Giga Drain / Energy Ball

- Moonblast

- HP Fire

- Tailwind / Taunt

This would be a nice Whimsicott

should it be focused on sp atk with a moonblast--based ofensive?

Yes. The only Physical Move I'd ever run on a Whimsicott is U-Turn (if you play on Set Mode) to get the advantage over your opponent. All of Whimsicott's Support Moves get Priority so moves such as Encore, Taunt, Charm, and Tailwind work really well for certain situations. A Fire Move is good to have alongside STABS so Whimsicott could stand a chance versus Steel Types.

If granbull learns energy ball (haven't went and look at it) i'm going to need to think about which one to choose.

Granbull doesn't get Energy Ball, or any Grass Move for that matter. Its a terrible Special Attacker anyways. Granbull is pretty fun to use, though.

- Play Rough

- Fire Punch (Tutor)

- Close Combat (Breed) or Brick Break

- Bulldoze (No Earthquake TM)
