Ultimately, the size should be up to you in a way. The recommended size when you change your forum avatar says 200px, which is what I am using as my forum avatar right now. It looks good and works. Unless you aren't a fan of Square, rectangle sized ones can be a thing. 200px wide by 300px length is a nice size. Edit: To save confusion because I may not have explained it properly. Tartar Posted November 21, 2016 Share Posted November 21, 2016 The original resolution of the avatar doesn't really matter as the forum will rescale and crop your avatar.
