Cheap Shot Impale

Type: Dark Type: Steel

Category: Physical Category: Physical

PP:10-20 PP:10

Power: 50 Power: 70

Acc: 95% Acc: 90 The user fiercely stabs the opponent with its Horns, claws, etc. This attack ignores and removes defense buffs.

The user viciously attacks the opponent's weak spot or previous injuries. This attack always results in a critical hit.

I felt like we needed some more critical hitting moves and something to kill physical tanks.

Not a move, but a status condition I think should happen:

Terrified

Halves your Pokemon's Special Attack and will cause them to occasionally be unable to attack, like Paralysis. Basically Attract with Burn effect on Special Attack. Remains throughout the entire battle even if the Pokemon is recalled, but ends after the entire fight is over.

IDK if you played PMD, but that status is horrible. It needs to wear off after a certain time or once a PKMN is switched out. In that case it's 700% broken

Category: Status move

Flavor Text:

"By whipping a storm of turbulent air, the user suffocates all fire type attacks"

Learned By:

Signature Move of Scyther and Scizor

Vacuum Storm

Flying Type

Power: 60

Category: Special

Accuracy: 100

Effect:

Vacuum Storm deals damage and has a 10% chance of causing the foe to flinch. If used on a Fire-type Pokémon, this move ignores the type effectiveness of this move's type against Fire and treats it as being super effective against Fire types instead (even during Inverse Battles and even if its type is changed). The type effectiveness of Vacuum Storm against any other types the target has is determined normally.

Flavor Text:

"The user sends a storm of turbulent, suffocating winds at the target. This may also make the target flinch. This move is super-effective on Fire Types."

IDK if you played PMD, but that status is horrible. It needs to wear off after a certain time or once a PKMN is switched out. In that case it's 700% broken

It wouldn't cause them to run away like in MD. Think Paralyze effect + Burn on Sp. Atk, but with no slowdown or added damage. And immune types would be Fighting, Psychic, and Dark.

For an actual move...

Afterburn

Fire type

Power: 80

Accuracy: 90%

Hits for full damage on the first turn, then hits for half-damage on the next turn unless the Pokemon switches out. Type-effectiveness applies for second hit as well.

Notable users: (Definitely more than I listed)

-Slugma, Macargo

-Typhlosion

- Magmar, Magmortar

-Torkoal

-Heatmor

@ Stratos - Scizor gets three nice moves, and two of them are boosted by Technician. The Vacuum Shield move is a little broken though since it completely nullifies fire-type attacks, I believe? I think it should half their damage rather than completely nullifying them. Sounds so broken as it is, lol.

@ Darvan Korematsu - Metagross will finally get a great set-up move! :o

@ YagamiNoir4896 - Does Technician boosts all three separate hits? Ouch...

Okay,

I took out Mega Launcher boost from my Molten Shrapnel attack. Doesn't seem like the attack that would get boosted by Mega Launcher.

Here's my new move!

Astral Projection

Type: Ghost
Category: Status
PP: 20 (32)
Power: ---
Accuracy: ---

If a Ghost-type Pokemon uses the move, special attack and speed increases by 1. Move can still be used even if asleep.

If used by a non-Ghost type Pokemon, the Pokemon will become a pure Ghost type. They will not get the boost unless they use the move again. If used by a dual type Ghost-type Pokemon, they still retain both of their original typing.

Available from Move Tutor. Move Tutor's a psychic woman who visits the cemetery a lot and shares the secret of this move to Pokemon.

Some Noteable Pokemon that has access to this move:

Gengar evolution line

Hypno evolution line

Mewtwo

Spiritomb

Lucario

Froslass

Rotom

Giratina

Cresselia

Darkrai

Musharna evolution line

Zoroark

Gothitelle evolution line

Beheeyem evolution line

Chandelure evolution line

Hoopa

As you can see... Most ghost and psychic Pokemon. Even though most of them (the Psychic types mainly) will have to spend a turn to use the move, this move makes Ghost-type Pokemon more viable, like Mismagius.

Feel free to suggest some changes.

Corrosion

Type: Poison

Category: Special

PP: 20 (32)

Power: 70

Accuracy: 100%

It has 10% chance to poison. This move will hit Steel type Pokemon super effectively.

Basically a poison version of Freeze-Dry.

EDIT: While we at it...

Soul Strike

Type: Fighting

Category: Physical

PP: 20 (32)

Power: 70

Accuracy: 100%

It has 10% chance to flinch. This move will hit Ghost type Pokemon super effectively.

Yeah, that too. I guess some moves that screw up with type immunities would be fun. Of course, like Freeze-Dry, these moves could be taught only by a handful of Pokemon.

Heart's Echo

Type: Normal

Attack Type: Special

Base Power: Friendship / 2.5, Max 102 BP (Like Return, but Special)

Learned by: Move Tutor

Granted to: Any Pokémon that relates to love or empathy, such as Luvdisc or Gardevoir (Pixilate Bonus!), or evolves through Friendship or Pokémon-Amie

Flavor Text: "A mystical power originating from the heart. The move becomes stronger as the friendship between the Trainer and Pokémon grows."

My Commentary: Because Friendship is awesome!

Eclipse Shine (Alternatively, Shadow's Cry)

Type: Shadow (This is with Colusseum mechanics, so normal effectiveness against everything)

Attack Type: Special

Base Power: 110 BP

Learned by: Shadow Pokémon

Becomes: Heart's Echo

Flavor Text: "The darkness of the night sky bestows its shadowy power to the user. Only Pokémon with a natural hatred of Trainers can use the ultimate Shadow move."

My Commentary: This might be the main move of an important Pokémon in the fangame I have in mind.

@ Spi - Heart's Echo is just a name. It's not intended to be a sound move, but I guess it might make sense. Single target, because it's already pretty powerful. i don't know, balance isn't something I'm good at.

Edited by InnocentBoy

@ Myst - I like that idea. I like how it uses the word pure and is super effective on poison types. I'd make that move if it wasn't already made. It can probably even be powered by Mega Launcher!

@ InnocentBoy - Heart's Echo sounds like a sound move. Does it hit both targets on the field and makes Hyper Voice obsolete? Or single target just to be a different move?
