  1. Old Reborn player here, I took a hiatus and was thinking of waiting until the game was completely finished (even the legendaries) and a walkthrough done to restart from scratch. Meanwhile, I'm curious to see what others' opinions are about my main team (this was around the time of the fire/ground gyms) Keep in mind this was from like maybe 3 years ago and my priority was on type coverage with little consideration to setup. I also caught and trained one of every decent pokemon evolution line available so that I can tailor my team against major fights (e.g. I remember fighting Shade with 6 Dark and/or Ghost pokemon including Mightyena, Dusclops, Banette, Cofagrigus. Actually made it easy) Also another couple of disclaimers. I try to avoid slow leveling rate EXP pokemon like Houndoom or Sharpedo (unless it's something useful like a Pseudo) if there are other better options, and I honestly can't be bothered with breeding to get the moves I want on a certain pokemon Can't remember all the natures and items except for those listed Blaziken (Starter, Speed Boost, Adamant nature) - Blaze Kick/Flare Blitz - Sky Uppercut/ Brick Break - Brave Bird - Bulk Up Octillery (Sniper. I know it's not that great with low speed, but I've always loved its gimmick with coverage) - Surf - Ice Beam - Signal Beam - Bullet Seed/Psybeam Gardevoir (Trace) - Magical Leaf - Psychic - Moonblast - Calm Mind Magnezone (Analytic) - Flash Cannon - Discharge - Light Screen - Thunder Wave Tyrantrum (Rock Head, Wide Lens for Head Smash) - Dragon Claw - Crunch - Head Smash - Earthquake Nidoking (Sheer Force with Life Orb) - Earth Power - Shadow Claw - Sludge Wave - Megahorn The team felt pretty balanced at the time, though I do notice that it's not exactly tanky (even with Reborn's difficulty) I may be going with Blaziken again but am also considering Libero Cinderace and Protean Greninja. I might be trying to rebuild this first, potentially switching out some while I see what Gen 7/8 have to offer (e.g. Dhelmise) Any particular suggestions that anyone would like to offer?
  2. IIRC you can only catch one of those at that moment, although both of them will presumably be available to catch later in the game for the sake of completing the Dex
  3. What made Terra challenging for me is the Glitch Field and her putting Synthetic seeds on Quagsire and Palossand, which removed their typing and boosted their defenses, making them a bitch to deal with. Since Glitch Field can't be changed with other standard elemental moves, throw in someone with Terrain moves (Grassy, Electric, Psychic, Misty). I recommend getting a Roserade with Grassy Terrain (Move Relearner) Then you'd be able to abuse 4x weaknesses for Quagsire in addition to Garchomp (get mons with grass and ice attacks) Naturally, getting an Electric terrain user would make things harder on you since she's a Ground user. You can still get by with Misty and Psychic terrain, but Palossand, Nidoking, and Excadrill will give Psychic and Fairy users a hard time too.
  4. My line of thinking was more along using Mightyena to fight the others like Banette so that she can spend more other mons as cannon fodder to whittle down Mimikyu instead. That's how I did my run
  5. I recall you mentioning having a Klink. An option would be to evolve it, set it up, and Gear Grind the damn thing. You can also work in a Mightyena with Intimidate or a Moxie sweeper set, whichever you prefer. That said, I would not have kept in Banette against Rotom or Mimikyu, since it will be outsped and not used to its full potential.
  6. I'm cheap as fuck (despite having more money than what I know to do with), so what I basically do is this. Give whatever mon I want to increase happiness a Soothe Bell, get the bicycle, and ride left-right along that really long road in Obsidia Ward for like 5-10 minutes. I just let my fingers do the work while I open up youtube on a tablet.
  7. Huh, thanks. Looks like I don't have to wait for anything after E19. Right now I'm trapped with training tediously around the circus with most mons being around the Lv 75-80 range Don't know if I'll restart it all over (if there's anything earlier content I already played through that will be changed in E19, like event pokemon and such), but I'm hoping I wouldn't have to. That said, sounds like I wouldn't be giving Reju a serious playthrough until the final version is released; I never got past capturing a couple pokemon anyways once I realized that it had a long way to go (V8 at the time)
  8. GWS Just to be clear, from the title of the thread E19 will be the last one? Or are there whispers of some content beyond that. Even if there is, I don't expect it to be anytime soon, The actual Gen 8 games could potentially take a couple years to finalize (if it has the '2nd part' games of the generation like Emerald, Platinum, BW2, etc), and the Reborn team clearly needs rest
  9. I'm on a long hiatus from the game (for 1 year total now) waiting for E19, but I'll try to be of some help. - The problematic thing about this fight is the Forest field. You can try get Growlithe (Flame Burst) or Numel -> Camerupt (Lava Plume); these attacks will change it to a burning field and take the edge off Struggle Bug and boost your fire moves. At that point it becomes a matter of roasting Shelly's team. - If you've got some seeds, they could be of use too - You can also find an Emolga in Jasper Ward as an event on windy or clear days IIRC. Give it a seed and let it have fun with Acrobatics (Lv. 30). It should be able to outspeed most of her mons, but take care of Anorith as soon as it comes out. I vaguely remember having saved all the cops and got my Growlithe. Aside from that, I just stacked up on as much anti-bugs as possible, like Pyroar (I allowed Litleo to get to 36 to get Flamethrower, then CC'd it) and Camerupt. With your team, I find Ducklett and Trubbish are too weak in their base forms. No offense if you already knew, but Araquanid is a huge special tank, so physical attacks are ideal when hitting it.
  10. If you're talking your mod, doesn't work
  11. Didn't work, still there. At this point I think it might have been ingrained into the save file, but I don't think have a backup that far back before I used it
  12. Doesn't work, and I preferred unreal time to begin with
  13. I was talking about different in-game days
  14. It might have also been Aironfart's XP mod, but I figured this was more likely to be the culprit. The lady just keeps telling me that I already drew a ticket despite it being different days
