  1. Redemption Weekly - The Finale! Well, uhhhh hey there everyone? It's really been a long time, hasn't it? Considering that nobody has heard heads or tails of Jessica since league ended, I've decided I'll take over for the final weekly and put things to rest for good. Considering that this was the final season of the Redemption League, it just didn't feel right to me to leave things unfinished. Let's beegin! I'm only 50% sorry. The Champions: Four new champions managed to get past Oliver in the final few weeks! Congratulations to Huend, Anstane, Hycrox, and Bazaro for managing to defeat Oliver and claim your spots as champions! With that, this season of the Redemption League had 10 champions, by far the largest amount of any season. In total, throughout all of its seasons, the Redemption League has had 14 champions all together, should you not count challengers who cleared the league in multiple seasons. To put it into numbers: Season 1: 2 champions. Season 2: 6 champions, 4 of whom also cleared the league in Season 3. Season 3: 10 champions. The Final Day: As per tradition, we gave all challengers three lives + all their retry tokens on the final day of league to let as many challengers as possible have a chance to clear league. This left our leaders in bracket 6 very busy this last day, with a few of our bracket 5 leaders seeing some more action as well. Our champion, Oliver, usually gave a mercy to challengers on their last life, such as removal of a Pokemon to give the challenger better odds on their final attempt. The End of the Redemption League: That's right guys and gals and everyone in between, the Redemption League is finished for good, there will be no Season 4. Three seasons was a long run, and it's time for our leaders to move onto other things. I hope everyone who took part has some good memories and just had a good time in general, really. I know I had a great time battling and getting to know you all, it was a wonderful experience for me! Now, onto covering our leaders one last time: Nick - Total Battles: 94 Total Wins: 46 Total Losses: 48 Winrate: 48 Nick got almost no action in these last few weeks, his only two battles being against a newcomer on the final day. Out of those two battles he won once, and lost once, leaving him still below that 50% victory rate he coveted so much. He took this last loss rather poorly, and has not been since. In these last two battles, he utilized Sticky Web singles, with apparently an explosion Togedemaru? Does it even get that? Featured replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107257 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107259 Haley - Total Battles: 142 Total Wins: 93 Total Losses: 49 Winrate: 65% Haley is in the same boat as our old friend Nick, minus the mental breakdown part. Being a bracket 1 leader, most challengers have been long past her, leaving her with only two battles this last month, both of which she lost. Also apparently there was some drama with Jasper, Edgar and Leo that's gotten the poor girl pretty shaken up. In her final two battles, she utilized her classic triples trick room ice over her tailwind triples, with a level 30 Jynx. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-107218 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-107224 Olivia - Total Battles: 139 Total Wins: 97 Total losses: 42 Winrate: 69% Despite Olivia's winrate taking a hit, Olivia found herself faring better than her fellow members of bracket 1, winning 3 out of 5 of her battles. Sticking with her tried and true Stall and Hail Trick Room styles, this rose proved that she still has her thorns. (That uhh reminds me, I forgot to water the roses in our garden yesterday, crap!) Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-107282 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105974 Ariel - Total Battles: 75 Total Wins: 48 Total losses: 27 Winrate: 64% The princess xyrself didn't exactly see much action as well in the last few weeks. (Wow, this is like a trend or something) However that didn't prevent xyr from showing that xe does belong in bracket 2, outperforming all of the bracket 1 leaders. Taking a page right of Helen's book, xe primarily utilized a sticky web team with a rock polish weakness policy Pokemon, in this case being Ribombee and Diancie rather than Shuckle and Regirock. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107246 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107248 Jasper - Total battles: 80 Total wins: 61 Total losses: 19 Winrate: 76% For the record, for simplicity's sake I'm including Jessica's wins as his substitute in his own record. Jasper himself only participated in 3 standard league matches the last month. In these three matches, he used a mix of speedy attackers like Mega Gallade, Alakazam, Alolan Raichu, and Meloetta with more bulky Pokemon such as Slowking, Latias, and Metagross. Also, from what I've heard, he's been causing some serious drama at his work with Leo as well, and even Edgar is involved. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107171 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107160 Ken - Total battles: 84 Total wins: 60 Total losses: 24 Winrate: 71% My old pal Ken fared very well in the final few weeks, going 9-0 in standard league matches. Frequently using boosting sweepers such as moxie Salamence, or Mega Altaria, Ken left all of his challengers in a very hard spot. Shoutouts to Mega Rich, his level 300 Axew. How did he even get that? Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107290 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-107295 HELEN - Total battles: 62 Total wins: 40 Total losses: 22 Winrate: 64% Despite her change in demeanor, Helen proved to still be her same old self in battle. Sticking with her classic "Butter Lord" (her Shuckle) and his usual squad of friends, she kept the same Sticky Web + Rock Polish sweeper duo that she's been using all season, the usual suspects being her Regirock or Rhydon. Finally, I never would have expected Helen to want to be a Pokemon professor, though from what she's told me she's taken to it quite well. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107263 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107164 Fabian - Total Battles: 71 Total wins: 50 Total losses: 21 Winrate: 70.4% Fabian actually had no battles outside of X-League in the final few weeks, poor guy. That didn't stop him from spending time at the league though, as it was a pretty regular sight to see him hanging around and chatting even with no challengers at all. Thinking about it, I've never actually asked what Fabian does outside of the league. Is he a waiter at a very, very fancy restaurant? A showman? That's a mystery I'll never find out, sadly. Featured Replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen6triplescustomgame-107150 Jessica - Total Battles: 63 Total wins: 46 Total losses: 17 Winrate: 73% Jess pulled double duty for both Normal and Psychic for a good while, so while her battles covering for Jasper are not included in her record I'll be briefly going over them anyways. For normal, Jessica kept with her usual fun mix of Pokemon, using Pokemon like: Furret, Toucannon, Exploud, Ditto, and of course Mr. Wiggles (who even showed up on Psychic once or twice!), with some powerhouses like Mega Pidgeot, Miltank, and Porygon 2. She was not to be trifled with, always coming out on top. For Psychic, she was a bit more homogeneous with Jasper, though she used some infrequent picks such as Hoopa, Metang and of course, Mr. Wiggles. Since league has ended, nobody has heard a peep out of her though. Jess, I swear to god if you're just hiding until someone else does your job I'm gonna be mad, I'm this close to putting out a missing person's notice: Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptiontrip-107309 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguedoubles-105898 Mira - Total Battles: 137 Total wins: 105 Total losses: 32 Winrate: 76% There's not much to say about Mira in the last weeks, she wasn't around all that often. Playing hide and seek with her Mimikyu maybe? However, she did bring a pretty fun singles team during her last few fights, containing the likes of Silvally, Shedinja and Dusknoir, even if it didn't work out in the end. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105878 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-106862 Emilia - Total Battles: 55 Total wins: 35 Total losses: 20 Winrate: 63% Emilia, in a total change of pace exclusively used singles in the last few weeks of league! Though... It did just so happen that she just had one opponent challenging her over and over again in that time period. In singles, as the Fire type does, Emilia focused on overwhelming power to bring herself victory. Outside of league, I heard she's become quite a popular fire dancer, so good for her! Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105840 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-105885 Lucifer - Total Battles: 71 Total wins: 54 Total losses: 17 Winrate: 76% Everyone's favorite edgy friendly guy (is that a contradiction?) didn't have much competition in the final few weeks, but he did pretty well for himself. Lucy took the chance to use some of his less used friends like Honchkrow, Scrafty and Mega Sharpedo during this time, and they put on quite the show, with the big boss crow managing to be the curtain call. Lucy tells me to tell you to "piss off" that he loves you all and misses you guys a lot and that he's glad to be done he actually really misses this. I'm totally not telling you this because he always beats me at bowling whenever we play. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105945 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107169 Erwin - Total Battles: 51 Total wins: 37 Total losses: 14 Winrate: 72% Well uh, here's me! Feels kinda weird covering myself but here we go! I had some really fun fights with you guys and was happy to give my bug buddies one last go at you all. Aside from a few tricks like assault vest Vikavolt, I didn't really stray much from my usual outside of a few silly X-League fights. (I still have my Missingno hanging around ready to go at you guys again!) Don't fix what isn't broken, right? Uh, I guess I've gotten a bit better at fighting flying types since league ended but that's cause Oliver's birds keep trying to steal from Olivia and I's garden. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107148 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105869 Duncan - Total Battles: 71 Total wins: 55 Total losses: 16 Winrate: 77% Duncan may have taken a bit of a hit in winrate, but he was still as rock solid as ever. Yeah I know he's not rock type I just wanted to make that pun. While some of the people he was giving one hell of a blue finally managed to get past him, Duncan was happy to see other succeed and get some really good fights out of it it. His old pal "Sluggah" (his Gastrodon) remained ever the thorn in the side of those who faced him, with the immortal slug living far longer than its stats would suggest. Not to mention his Gliscor, "Batshit Crazy" being a terrifying foe fitting of such a... Peculiar name. Rest well, Australian dingo warrior man, you've earned it. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-106863 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-106860 Leo - Total Battles: 40 Total wins: 24 Total losses: 16 Winrate: 60% Leo upped his game a tad during the final few weeks. Leo let his inner hatred of Togekiss really show, considering how he sometimes even packed two choice scarfed steel types for the thing, not that I blame him at all and refused to give the weird bird egg thingy a chance to flinch him to oblivion. Also, I'm kinda concerned about what he's been doing with Jasper and Edgar now, but Leo seems to be a good guy so everything should go ok... Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-106200 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-106972 Jayde - Total Battles: 52 Total wins: 37 Total losses: 15 Winrate: 71% As one of the last roadblocks to the championship, Jayde was practically magnetic to challengers. During this time, she more than proved her mettle, making singles and triples work quite well, with some surprises like weakness policy Aegislash. Right now, she's probably playing video games wayyyyyy too late into the night without a care in the world. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105960 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguetrip-107279 Venus - Total Battles: 77 Total wins: 65 Total losses: 12 Winrate: 84% If you thought Jayde was busy, just look at Venus over here. Delightfully devilish as always, Venus would lure in challengers to a drawn out, toxic demise with classics like Mega Venusaur, Weezing, Toxapex, and so many others, though that's not all she can do. Showing that she was not just a pretty face, she went nearly undefeated during this time, even though challengers were practically coming at her in droves. Overall, Venus proved herself to be arguably the toughest customer here, even being a match for our champion! Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7redemptionsingles-107247 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-105872 Oliver - Total Battles: 50 Total wins: 40 Total losses: 10 Winrate: 80% The big man himself, it's Oliver! Oliver was a force to be reckoned with, not only for his skill in battle but for his tendency to shake things up on challengers. Oliver favored Singles and Doubles, and always had some sort of trick up his sleeve to give his opponents some serious hell. However, Oliver is a bit nicer this season both in and out of the league just please make your birds stop ruining our garden please man and during the final day of league would take mercy on his challengers if they were on their final lives, he'd remove a Pokemon from his team and face them 5v6. That takes real confidence. Featured Replays: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107287 and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-gen7xleaguesingles-107297 Wew, that was a lot to say, wasn't it? Well that concludes the Redemption League for good, I hope you all had a great time participating, I know I sure had a great time getting to know you all! While this is the end of the league for good that doesn't exactly mean this is the last you'll see of me! Till we meet again!
  2. Alright, I'll bite. Sprite: There we go, fixed.
