I was just going to keep 5 pickup Pokemon in my team and lead with one from my main team. Thank you for answering so quickly

I was wondering if I train my pickup Pokemon over the level cap, will they still pick up items? I know that they would disobey me in battle, but I wasn't sure if that would affect their use of that ability as well.
