  1. Adding to Lone's reply, the new dev blog they just released says that they aren't completely sure how the game will function if you boot up a save that was created before E19 came out if it is not at the end of the E18 story. So there may be some bugs you encounter due to things being a bit inconsistent between the two versions. Their suggestions are to either finish the story in E18 and then move to E19 (they normally say how to do this safely in the new version download) or to just restart the game. I am personally planning to just restart the game since it is adding new content to the early game including an entirely new character (rival? antagonist? not sure). That said, I last played through the game several years ago when E18 came out so I also forgot a lot of story beats that replaying will help me remember. So it may be less enjoyable for you to restart. Up to you there.
  2. It just worked immediately for me, I'm not sure. It might be a save file issue? If you can revert to a save just before starting the quest that will probably fix it? Otherwise the thread above is your friend
  3. I just did this event on a new save file a few days ago, and that is definitely where this one was. It's possible its bugged for you. I would double check the other two locations and make sure that you are not missing one of the other one, then post your save file in the savefile troubleshooting thread:
  4. I would say probably. They have been releasing these at or very close to midnight UTC. This is the only time of day where everywhere in the world has the same date. Since they seem to be aiming for a 16th release, it is likely they would do it when they are certain that it is the 16th for everyone That said, it could also be a complete coincidence and mean nothing at all
  5. Right, I just wasn't sure which type the 5th gym was, its been a while since I did a playthrough. First line only said which gym was beaten, not which one it was. Hope the suggestions help!
  6. I don't have many suggestions, but is the 5th gym Valarie? If so, the help center in the next town should offer a Magnemite as a reward which is always one of my best pokemon in a playthrough since it is pretty tanky and gets sturdy. I would personally replace Oricorio with that. In general, if you are having survivability issues, a tanky pokemon would help a lot, especially since it seems like you dont have any. So maybe an Umbreon? you can always get more Eevee through breeding. With the way you're playing, it may be helpful to have more than 6 pokemon ready to fight and swap them out as needed.
  7. In terms of other games to play, I would add to the suggestion above: Desolation, Insurgence, and Empyrean. All of these I have finished and enjoyed along the same lines as Rejuvenation. Desolation is a newer game, so it is a bit less finished (I think its at around 7-8 badges? not completely sure). This game is modeled after Reborn and Rejuvenation by the creator's own words. This one is one par with Reborn and Rejuvenation for me. Empyrean is another of the older ones, and seems like it still has more updates planned (I'm not sure if that's really the case, I haven't been following very closely), but it is implemented well into the post game. Insurgence is a bit of an older game and has been finished for a while now. In my opinion, the story is not as good as Rejuvenation, Reborn, and Desolation, but still good in its own right.
  8. The I'm not sure which is which (Not sure what the order I got them was), but one of the two you're missing is behind a waterfall in Keneph Jungle. Be persistent and you'll find it. The other is inside the cave in Redcliff Town.
  9. I currently have from a new play through (just beat the 6th gym, so not yet complete) the mega stones for Banette, Houndoom, Venusaur, Sharpedo, and Manectric. Not sure if some of the ones you get change between V4 and V5 though.
  10. Another thing to keep in mind is that they will likely also not be the only team working on this. I remember for gen 7 the reborn team was also working on the gen 7 pokemon and they collaborated with each other to get the task finished. So yes it will be a lot of work, but its more of a fan game community effort, not just a rejuvenation team effort. As Illumi mentioned, the larger effort is going to be updating the existing world with these new pokemon, not creating the assets themselves.
  11. I was able to walk through the right side of this building in the dream district and walk on the lower section of the building Edit: found a few more in the shopping district that can be walked up from the bottom of the building on the north side
  12. The only one that I know of is the yui ranch sidequest. Talk to the person upstairs in the house on the northwest side of the ranch to start it
  13. Depends on what you're going for! Strength wise, I would go with Torchic, Chimchar, Froakie, or possibly Snivy (all with their hidden abilities). But if strength is not your aim, I would go random! It adds an element of surprise and a bit of challenge/excitement as well if you've never used that starter before!
  14. Do the Photo Quest mentioned by Alilatias
  15. I read this completely differently when I was presented with this choice. Melanie explicitly told you that you were not allowed to do nothing. By then choosing to do nothing, you prove that she has no power in this situation and you are calling her bluff. Which Melia then explains. It avoids the option that makes you look like a terrible person for dooming that reality (running) and you aren't giving up by choosing the option to hand over Melia. What I'm trying to get at is that situation can be read completely differently based on how you approach the situation. That's what I enjoy about that decision. it can be viewed completely differently by the player, and people then have their own opinions on what the right one is. As such, I wouldn't change a thing there, as it gives the player the ability to read into the situation as they wish. I also may have just been like "!@#$ you, you can't tell me what to do!"
  16. You should be able to continue with your own save even when a new version is released. That said, many people choose to restart anyway because there are generally changes to the game's past versions whether it's minor story updates as the story gets more fleshed out, or because an entire zone got revamped (take Amethyst cave and route 2 in V9 or Wispy ruins in V10). It's also possible to see things they missed the first time, or to make different decisions in a new play through. For example, I took the Erin route on my normal playthrough, and during a recent Intense playthrough, I took the Flora route.
  17. So I recently started a run through on intense mode, and now that I'm nearly finished with it, I thought that I would do some speculation on the prophecies of Light and Dark. That said, this will contain spoilers on V10 and minor spoilers for Episode -1, so the rest of this post will be in a spoiler. Read ahead at your own risk, you have been warned. This is a bit long winded, but I think is an interesting conversation to have. I apologize if this is currently being discussed elsewhere, but I did not see another post for this that occurs after V10.
  18. This looks like a good team to me, but I would probably add a fairy/ice type to the mix (or at least a move of that type) to deal with dragon types (I personally use Abomasnow for this), and possibly a steel or poison type to deal with fairy types. I would recommend picking up Magnezone as its very tanky and the steel/electric combo is very powerful!
  19. Well that is unfortunate. I held off on replacing my Pikachu until Terajuma before I looked up how to evolve it. I only saw that it was available in Nightmare City. Wish I had seen it was available there too...
  20. I am currently doing an intense run right now, and the best ones I have found are Dawn Lycanroc, Magnezone, and Swoobat. Each of these guys has trivialized fights on their own. Lycanroc with Rock Slide is insane in the double battle gyms with the flinch chance. There were times that no one could move for multiple turns. Magnezone has a great moveset and is all around tanky. Swoobat with simple and calm mind is able to completely sweep gym leaders if you can get it to set up on a special attacker. Also, while at Blacksteeple Castle, make sure to pick up an Abomasnow. I would not have beaten 2 gym leaders without it. Other than that, just try to get a decent nature, and ev training is always worthwhile. Good luck! Also, side note on the A-Raichu that someone mentioned above, you cant get the item to evolve Pikachu until GDC, so I might not bank on that personally.
  21. Evergreen Forest has the Piplup line available if you have Anju's Pendant, and there are other new areas around Akuwa Town to explore
  22. With the north cave, if you take the boulder down to the bottom and jump down the hole the boulder does down, you find the ice on the pool is broken with a small surf area. not really sure what to do from that point though there is also an area in this cave to get glaceon if anyone wants it
