  1. Happy Birthday 😄, i hope that you will have a great day 😄🍰

  2. Soooo...you're gonna get answers to mooost of those questions. But they come later and are spoilers
  3. Ehhhh, I mean I don't do that, but I also don't have a problem with it. The way I see it is that as long as their I.V.s don't go above 31, then they're fine. There's really no difference between a pokemon that has 31 I.V.s from breeding and one who's I.V.'s were changed directly. Some people not have time to go through the effort of breeding a perfect I.V. team...I could only do it because I have very little to do, and I get bored...and even then I use a mod to help make eggs hatch faster since I breed in batches of 5 pokemon.
  4. Oh I fully plan on restarting when the final episode comes out. Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna finish my current save file, but it will be nice to see how everything has changed from beginning to end
  5. So, having read your newest review...I kind of have to agree with you on the whole trip between Amy and Shelly. Kiki and Cain both annoy me in that section, and you take so many detours. I think it'd work better if you changed a few things around, and either have Kiki's events happen before the kids are kidnapped, or after you rescue it, it would work better. Because the entire quest does open up some insight on Victoria and Cain's characters. Its just...that insight comes at a time when you're trying to save the kids. Azurine Island isn't as bad as it seems. The first time you go there, it can be confusing, but thankfully there aren't quite as many branching paths. All in all, there are really only three sections of Reborn that I've never been a fan of, and you got past the first one. The next one is on Route 1, though you have a decent amount of time before it starts up. I highly recommend not even bothering with trying to solve that puzzle alone, just find a guide for it. As for the slave army...ehhh, not much to be said there. You need a good variety of pokemon to get through the different challenges. That said, certain pokemon, like Growlithe/Arcanine, are good enough to remain in your party at almost all times, baring the occasional Water type trainer. Now for the good news: Cain does redeem themselves. They sort of dropped the ball big time after being captured, but you'll soon find that Cain is able to redeem themselves from that little disaster. Anna and Shelly are going to be a bit more prominent in this next section, so enjoy it The path to the next gym is far shorter, and a lot more enjoyable
  6. Hmmm, I think both of your reviews are fair. The level cap is a lot harsher in Reborn then in the standard games, and I feel like pokemon have a higher chance of not listening to you. That said, I never really had much issue with grinding, as most areas got me to about where I need to be. A few things I will note: 1) You're generally going to need a bigger team then just 6 pokemon. While there are some players, like Ttar, who only use a core of three or four pokemon, I think even he is starting to figure out that he can't just cruise through the game with the three main pokemon he currently uses. 2) You'll want to learn how the field effects work. Nine times out of ten I beat a gym leader by using their own field against them. It can be tricky to master, but once you have a handle on it, fields make battles a lot easier. 3) While I would call the game difficult, I'm not sure I'd call it unfair. As others have pointed out, Reborn does give you the tools you need to get through a challenge. Even the "Supposed to lose" battle can be beaten with skill and a bit of luck. A few hints for you as well: - Look through the Pokemon Locations Spreadsheet, it will help you find some extra pokemon. Espurr is a surprisingly useful little Psychic time for the early game, and you can get it as soon as you start the game. You need to pay that one bum to move out of the way right by the first gym. - I.V.s ad E.V.s are not necessary for the beginning of the game, but become more important as time goes on. - Talk to Ame from that little console for every gym battle, she'll often point you in the right direction strategy wise. - Find those Field Effect Readouts and learn what they do and how they work. They seriously change entire battles, and you can usually find a way to make use of them. In fact, before she was nerfed, the only way I could beat the Fire Type gym was by using the Field Effect and fighting Fire with Fire.
  7. Personally, I'd raise Venasaur, Charizard, and Delphox up a tier, with Serperior going down a tier. Charizard's explanation is fairly simple, its able to sweet through most of the early game, and by the time you really need to replace it you have access to better Fire Types like Arcanine. Delphox is similar to Charizard, in that it handles a lot of the early game pretty well, especially once you get into the forests. It also has the bonus of being a decent early game Psychic type, which allows it to remain useful even when you get Arcanine. The only other Psychic types you can get are Espurr and Lunatone until you reach the Underground Railnet, both of which suck compared to Delphox. So you an continue to use Delphox as your main psychic type up until you get Ralts. Venasaur may seem like an odd pick, but hear me out. Since you can get hidden skills in your starters, you can get a Chlorophyll Bulbasaur. It makes a decent enough tank, and is pretty reliable throughout most of the game. I will admit its move pool is a bit poor, but it does its job well as a tank, status provider, and, once you have Sunny Day and a Heat Rock, sweeper thanks to Growth/Chlorophyll/Solar Beam
  8. I'll be honest, I've been impressed time and again with Ttar. He constantly surprises me with his wins...That said, I'm constantly surprised how he, and basically every other LPer of Reborn fail to spot how Anna is a psychic. Pentaop, Shofu, Ttar, they all thought Anna was nuts and/or kidding. It makes me wonder why its so hard to see when its so darn obvious.
  9. Why would you do that to yourself? I'm all for challenges but that seems excessive.
  10. Mine was absolutely Charlotte. I got to face her and earn her gym badge pre-nerf, and her team was vicious. I loved every moment of it though, and kind of wish she'd go back to her pre-nerf state.
  11. The High Priest of Helgrind. If you haven't read Inheritance, its a high priest without arms or legs, cannot move without being carried...but is highly skilled at magic.
  12. There is, though it requires you to do some digging. If you're using Windows, you should be able to search for the Saved Games folder in the start menu. Inside should be a folder for Pokemon Reborn that has all your saves. Your current game/save should be named Game. Then all you need to do is rename that file, and you can start a new game while keeping your old one. If you wanna swap between saves just go into the folder and change the name of the desired save back to Game and you're good to go. I actually keep a small bunch of saves from different Leader battles, just in case I wanna redo them.
  13. Happy Birthday 😄, i hope that you will have a great day 🙂🍰

  14. Welp, since I don't expect Alakazam, Gardevoir, or Starmie to get off any more then one shot on Hydreigon, I can also use them in the rest of the battle. Only Chansey needs to be at full strength going in. I also have a Golem with Study and Stealth Rocks, an Arcanine with Sunny Day, Morning Sun, and Heatwave, and if need be I can swap either Alakazam or Gardevoir out for a Chlorophyll Venasaur to back up my Sunny Day Arcanine.
  15. I don't see myself having too much trouble...Currently I'm planning to run with: Starmie which has 31 speed I.V., 30 special attack I.V., and currently has Dazzling Gleam. I'm hoping to get either Ice Beam or Blizzard on it by the time we face Lin, but Dazzling Gleam works too since Hydreigon has a x4 weakness Alakazam, which has similar I.V.s to starmie and also runs dazzling gleam Gardevoir with a Moonblast and finally Chansey with Eviolite, Toxic, Soft Boiled, and Substitute. And while I have plenty of other pokes to swap things out with, I suspect that Chansey will be able to outlast the Hydreigon, provided it isn't built to be a physical sweeper. Considering Hydreigon's stats, I suspect it will primarily be a special attacker though. Meaning Chansey shooould be able to tank most of it's attacks. Especially since I plan to hopefully toss out Starmie and Alakazan as single shot cannons. Considering Alakazam alone has a special attack that is well over 300 already and has a move that Hydreigon has a x4 weakness to I suspect I could do some damage. Not K.O. it, but weaken it.
